Support your local small business, I do. Expensive but good quality. Potato salad, chicken pot pie, and other ready made food, really good! The meat, I was told, does not come from a butcher who inject with GMO or hormones. Lots of options for single simple serving. Very good

Great butcher, delicious salads, huge selection of frozen products and of course great service! They even help you carry your bags to your car. I drive out of my way to go to Prime Choice! Best butcher on the south side.

This guy literally could care less. If you don't have the right bread don't give me a sandwich on rye without asking. Do I have to check my sandwich before I leave the store? Last time it was frozen so if you have a bread issue you should probably fix it. I have tried too many times to be disappointed and overcharged.

I went here today for one of my favorite salads. I was the only customer in the store. After watching the owner clearing the crud off the counters I asked him to please put on gloves which were right in front of him. He gave me such a disgusted look and asked me "what are you getting" what does that matter!! I told him Broccoli salad and he shook his head and proceeded to get coleslaw, I had to intervene again which made him even more mad! Sad to say I will never be a patron of this establishment again!!!

Since they moved to their new location they are just a short walk from work. I have not ordered their fresh meats, but would. They are more expensive than the big grocery stores which makes sense, you get a better cut of meat - it's in their name - PRIME is not select or choice and you get what you pay for. So, now what have I had? Oh, their take away sandwiches, veggies and salads make for a fantastic lunch! Boar's Head and the little roll are so good. The roll is "little" in the it is not long, but I guarantee it is just as much bread as a longer roll from those "subway" or "jimmy's". It is a square ciabatta roll topped with VERY generous portions of delicious meat. So much meat that I usually end up not eating all the bread. I am a fan! So good, very accommodating owners and employees. You get what you pay for, if you are cheap and want super processed crap, go else where. If you like yourself, treat yourself!

Their deli is fantastic for a quick bite for lunch. They stock all Boar's Head products and have a small, curated menu of about 8 sandwiches to pick from. $7.99 each, or $8.99 to make it a meal with potato salad and a can of pop. Just grab a number (paper ticket dispenser) and head to the right side of the meat case to place your order. Great food at a great price. Can't beat it!

I just tried this place for the first time the other day & I bought the chicken pot pie. It was the best I ever had, besides my own (which takes 3 hours just to make the crust alone!) I could tell theirs is definitely homemade, using high quality ingredients, like real butter! I also tried the meatloaf with gravy & it was very good, too! I'm going to try the pies next. I can't wait to go back!

I stopped in on a recent Sat. around 4:30. They close at 5:00 and the meat case was mostly empty. I ask which meats are "prime"; given their name. The response was that they don't have Prime. According to the clerk, they have the top third of choice...what ever that is. So I get 2 strip steaks, a small pot roast and a pound of bacon and the bill is $53. They did cut the steaks to order and the beef was good (as was the bacon), but for the price, I think I may not be going back.

I have driven by Prime Choice and stopped there yesterday after buying charcoal. We were having another couple over for dinner and I decided to pick up filets. Service was quick and friendly and they cut my steaks to order. Grilled them up and man they were GREAT. I am serious about steak and had dinner with my wife at Bavet's downtown and the steaks I bought at Prime Choice were every bit as good. Prices are what they should be for that high a quality cut of meat. Will definitely be a repeat customer
