Ok I lied. I came back. I have given them another chance. I got the Italian sub. Not bad. Not bad at all. Tasty, fresh and filling. I enjoyed it. Nice, clean store. I hope I can find something else here that I like. We'll see!

First sandwich from this fine establishment. Cool Italian grocery store/deli. There's some staples and frozen carry out Italian. My ham & American cheese sandwich was great and the deli man that made it was cool. I always enjoy when the man that made my sandwich gives me the nod. This is near work & my Sister. I will be back, maybe next time lasagna?

I am a local in Palos and go to Frangellas mainly for their soup. Last week I ordered 2 quarts of soup, 1 chicken noodle, the other minestrone. My husband opened the chicken noodle and spooned some into the bowl and began to eat. As he was eating his soup, he found a foreign object in his mouth, which was a small piece of wire, as I looked at it more, I realized it was an ornament hook. Luckily he did not swallow it!! I called Frangellas and a woman answered the phone, I told her what I found and she asked me if I wanted to come & get another soup, I was stunned by her response. I said no, & then she says I'll let them know. Very matter of fact response that could have been a serious situation!

The cutest little Italian store they've been there forever a local staple I can't imagine not having them in my life lol. Their soups are a hit in my house always the owners are the nicest people in the world. Their desserts are delicious and they have the best Italian groceries

I just want to mention. Sunday this place closes at 4pm. Obviously they start closing the deli earlier. I get it, they want out at 4. I feel bad i showed up 15 min before close and asked for 2 subs and salad. We were out 3:55ish. However the person helping gave off a vibe, annoyed and short. Com'on....what happened to customer service? If this place didn't need my $24 purchase, CLOSE at 3:45!!!!!! I wasn't the only one there. Post a sign, Don't Order A second After3:45!!!!! I've been going here for along time. Never felt so unwelcome til today. Adding more. When I got home our subs were skimpy. Not the normal size. So if you don't want to get cheated on your sandwich, do not order 15 min before closing Lesson well learned. Won't be back. After years of using this deli, I'll drive to oak forest or orland next time. Plenty of deli's around

The food here is great and the cashier was super nice. The old man with a baseball hat behind the counter could not have been any ruder. My sister and I were coming to get soup for my mom who is in the hospital near by. We ordered one riceball and two soups. He misunderstood that and packaged two riceballs. We were getting a roll for my mom and didn't notice he packaged two and we nicely told him it was only one riceball. That should not have been a big deal, it was just a slight misunderstanding. He said "you're looking right at me" insinuating we should have stopped him. He then came out and slammed the two soups down and we still didn't have our riceball. We let him know and he started yelling at us and said "ok so first you wanted to 1, then you wanted 2, then you didn't want any, and now you want one?" My sister told him we only ever wanted 1 riceball. He said "ok so you're going to get one of the ones I already packaged for you." I told him "thanks a lot this is going to my mother in the hospital" and he didn't respond. We told the younger cashier and he was very nice and I think could tell we were visibly upset. He told us he would pass along our concern and thanked us for still shopping there. My sister still had on her visitor pass from the hospital and he still treated us this way. After a long few days in the hospital with our mom we wanted to get her some good food since she can finally eat after three days. While the food here is good, I will never come back. It was embarrassing and certainly was last thing we needed after an emotional few days with our mother. Note to that man: be kind, you have no idea what someone else is going through.

This is a nice deli in Palos park that has everything from take home meals to good deli meats and Italian deserts. Everyone was really nice and it was pretty quick in there. The Italian beef sandwich that I got was not to bad it was a little dry and not a lot of flavor. Honestly I ended up adding Italian sub oil they sell there to it and it was fine. Over all good experience I'd suggest it
