I like to try new places instead of going to the same ol restaurants, day in and day out. My gf and I were at Brookfield zoo and decided to go out for breakfast. This place is very close and had good reviews so we had to try it. First there is easy parking nearby. The place is very discreet and the inside is very classic dinner, nothing fancy but it appears clean. We were greeted promptly by friendly staff and sat almost immediately on a weekend. Service was fast, staff were attentive and nice. The food... Large portions, but very good food and very fair prices. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with soup. My gf ordered a broccoli cheddar omelette. She rated the omelette as a 3/5 "ok" but stating she doesn't know how to make it more amazing so her rating is not counted. Lol My rating would be 3/5 for food. Huge portions and great food but the wrap is missing something to make it less saucy, the lettuce was find but it added to it falling apart. Either way it was amazing. The downside were the fries. Nothing special, maybe from a bag. Food and portions overall would be 4/5. Service 5/5.

I met a friend for "brunch" and this place is very convenient and I have been here before so it was my suggestion. I find it to be reasonable, good service and a great variety with a very low key vibe! Anyway, I ended up having breakfast which I've had before and my friend had a wrap which seems to be popular on the menu. No pics !!! I was starving from being a having a bit too much to drink last night .... Sorry ). Good overall. :) still a nice spot for breakfast and/or lunch.

We love Michael's and have been coming here for breakfast ever since it opened! Service is consistently friendly, kind, great with kiddos and attentive. You can't beat being greeted after a long night by kind people in the morning! The food is also consistently delicious. Their skillets have so many eggs. So many. I think the skillet has 4 eggs, and you FEEL IT. One could EASILY share an entire skillet and be full without issue. I'm a creature of habit, and I get the Mediterranean Omelette without olives every time. Great amount of chicken and veggies, so I normally bring some back home for later! Nicely cooked hash browns with over easy eggs on top? Yes please! All day. Kiddo always gets the Mickey Mouse pancake. One pancake easily feeds 2 kiddos, and they cook their bacon perfectly every single time. The bacon isn't burnt, but it is that perfect golden crispy that makes my arteries scream The pancake is nice and fluffy, standard syrup and butter, but the pancake smells sweet and delicious, and my kiddo devours it every single time! Hubby gets something each time he goes. Last time he got the potato pancake Benedict, and even with an appetite he could only finish half of it. Delicious in every way, and plenty filling! Sister-in-law gets the strawberry Belgian waffle, and it is love at first sight each time she gets it! Add a little whipped cream and your joy will increase nicely! They have specials regularly, great prices, VERY delicious soups per my hubby, especially the Cream of Potato and Rice soup, great service, and they just expanded, so more space for the masses! Simple food done well. No frills, just great diner food. We can't wait to go back every time!

Doesn't look fancy, but oh so good! Met some friends in downtown Riverside with a visit to the Higgins Glass Studio on our agenda, and decided to grab some lunch first. Most of the big restaurants were closed, but Michael's Pancake House was open. Despite its hole-in-the-wall look from the outside, great Yelp reviews tempted us in. We were not disappointed. Michael's restaurant is not fancy, but it's sparkling clean, and we were greeted right away by the friendly staff (all family from what I understand). The menu is huge...and if we hadn't had our minds set on breakfast, we would have had a difficult time choosing what to eat. I ordered the mushroom cheese omelette, my friends had the waffle and Michael's special (eggs, pancakes, bacon, juice). It all came out super fast...and it was all hot and delicious. The prices are reasonable and portions are huge, too. Michael's is a great place to go for a quick, casual, inexpensive meal. It's great!

I go to Michael's when I want to treat myself. They offer an extensive menu, but I tend to focus on the omelets, even though the other items sound delicious as well. They have a long list of omelets with a wide variety of add-ins, each being given an appropriate name. They also offer a number of sides, but I always ask for the grits, since they are delicious, and I love putting a bit of the coffee creamer and some pats of butter in them, with a bit of salt and pepper to make them taste the way I want them. Beyond the sides, they also offer either pancakes or French toast. You'd better have a big appetite if you get the pancakes with the omelet; but the French toast adds only slightly less volume to the generous meal. Their coffee is great, too!

Service was exceptional, top notch all the way around. You can tell everyone works as a team. Food tastes homemade and was very good. Salsa was delicious and so was the chilaquiles.
