Everything we ordered was excellent! The service and staff are even better. Didi and Edwin were the most courteous and accommodating servers we've experienced in a long time. Highly recommended.

My friend graduated at the Rosemont Theater, and we told her to pick a place for lunch, because we were starving! She chose McCormkck & Schmick's. We arrived right when they were opening, and was welcomed by Luis.. Luis was very nice, welcoming, and knowledgeable of the menu. While waiting, you are served fresh, hot bread with butter, we had two servings of the bread, it was so good!! I started with the artichoke dip and added the lump crab meat, I have to let you know, the artichoke isn't broken down like spinach and artichoke you normally order, the artichoke is sliced in chunks and served with slices of bread, my friend and I enjoyed it. Drinks: I ordered a glass of Riesling, members of my party ordered lemonade, water, and the graduate ordered Prosecco. Main Course: I ordered the WAGYU STEAK FRITES w/Truffle fries(soooooo goooooddddd!! Highly recommend), the graduate ordered SOUTHWEST CRAB ROASTED SALMON (she was done with this in 3 mins, it was really good from what she said), another member ordered GRILLED CHICKEN SANDWICH (he said it was really good), and our final member ordered SHRIMP SCAMPI(she also said it was really good)... We ordered off the lunch menu. Overall, there were no complaints from any of us!! I am thinking about ordering the Seafood Alfredo before my flight tomorrow :) Also, they surprised the graduate with a sweet desert, I thought this was so nice and sweet of them! 10/10 experience! Also, make sure you get Luis, without him or the manager on duty (we didn't get her name, but thank you!!!), you will def enjoy!

Made a reservation for my wife's birthday and walked in with my wife and 2 kids. The establishment had an abundance of seating open but we were sat in the back which was okay for the most part. The issue was that the waiter skipped us around 6 times, never brought us any water but serviced the two other tables throughout the 20 min wait for service. Walked in at 5:54 and didn't get seen until 6:21pm. When he finally came to take our orders (never had an ounce of water brought out) I asked him to bring out my wife's birthday cake that I was going to surprise her with and told him that we were going to leave because of the service. While walking out, a waitress mocked us and said "oh so you don't want us to sing happy birthday?" with a slight chuckle while my family and I were leaving. This was our first time at this restaurant and it will be the last. **ended up at The Capital Grille after explaining my experience to the host and they went above and beyond to make our night special.**

I'm surprised at the number of bad reviews. Yes--this is a chain. Yes--it's a chain in an area dominated by hotels and travelers. Yes--you pay for parking. So? I was hosting a workshop locally, and entertained a group of 14 here on a Friday night. They took my phone reservation without issue. We were seated quickly upon arrival. Two of the waitstaff were assigned to us. They worked diligently to meet our every need and answer all questions. We ordered an assortment of appetizers with my favorite being the fried oysters. The house salad was fantastic. All guests enjoyed their dinners. The upside down apple pie with cinnamon ice cream was wonderful. I also tried for the first time their peanut butter chocolate pie, which was exceptional. This is a wonderful restaurant. If I'm entertaining in the area, I would happily use M & S again.

Oh man where to start..... we tried McCormick & Schmicks for restaurant week. When we entered, the hostess greeted with a cold look and a "Can I help you?". I told her we would like a table for 3 and restaurant week menus. She didn't even say anything to us. She grabbed the regular menus and sat us next to entrance where the cold draft came in, with the place 80% empty. She set the menus down and just said with her back to us walking away, "You're server will be with you shortly". Sorry to inconvenience you, but if you are going to host... you probably shouldn't feel inconvenienced at doing your job! Plus, she didn't even give us the right menu. When we walked in she was just standing there too.... We sat for 25min before anyone brought water and took drink orders. It was another 20 min to get our orders in. Now out server was very polite and nice, but out of breath because they lacked the appropriate staffing that their waitresses were literally sprinting.... With the place almost empty. I believe they were doing their own bartering but I could be wrong. The food was pretty good. My wife got the crispy fish tacos. They were good, not greasy, but not exactly revolution either. My step daughter liked her wagu. It was cooked to the correct temperature. Being the portion was small was to be expected since it was a discounted restaurant week item. Now one thing I will say is the poke bowl I got was really good. The tuna wasn't fishy, and the sides were fresh and delicious. We really wanted to like this restaurant like every other restaurant week place we tried, but ai cannot. Some of our food and our pleasant servers demeanor saved this from being a 1 star review. The hostess and 45 minutes waiting for food due to staffing shortages would have earned this place a -5 star review, terrible. I don't say this lightly, but that hostess either needs to be retrained or let go. Skip M&S and check out Capital Grill next door, the service is amazing and the food is on par if. It better.

These are nice people. I can highly recommend the fish tacos on the happy hour menu. They need to pair it with Cold Alaskan Amber. The hamburgers look and smell fantastic. They're a good size for the price. The one suggestion I have; I'm a middle aged gentile. This means, I'm simple - I don't want Chilean sea bass or Monk fish. I want grouper fingers with the same slaw that are on the tacos. With the delightful sourdough bread and the chowder. Thanks for a pleasant evening out folks.

We had a delicious dinner to celebrate a good year end at work. The restaurant is gorgeous with a beautiful dome ceiling. Lots of hard wood. We were seated promptly on a Wednesday night. We enjoyed Oysters, artichoke dip, caesar and wedge salad to start. All were wonderful. I had a tasty Guiness while we waited for the main course. The lamb shank was was perfectly cooked and a large portion with cous cous that balanced it perfectly. We also ordered brussel sprouts and truffle fries for the table. And finally we split cheesecake and creme brulee. Nothig was disappointing for me. We had a couple issues with service being a little slow, or maybe the kitchen was slow. However they were very careful with one dish for a gentleman with food allergies, which was appreciated. I was so full when we left that the walk back to my car in the parking garage was actually appreciated. But they do offer free valet if that is your preference. Highly recommended.

We tried the downtown iteration of this restaurant and didn't like it, mostly frustrated by interminably slow service. Still, my husband made a reservation for this location for Restaurant Week, so we decided to check it out. There is barely anywhere to park nearby, at least as it seems at first. This is itself confusing; Rosemont is not in the middle of Chicago! It is not a dense city itself. There is a parking garage, connected to the hotel, so we wound up choosing that option. The restaurant validates your parking, which is nice, but it's silly that it is still $5 just to park. (To be fair, we didn't realize that there is a free valet option, so that could be something to take advantage of!) The dining area in which we sat was freezing cold. Our waiter was very nice, and he did his best the whole night, we could tell, but the restaurant just did not have it together overall. Food-wise, it wasn't too memorable, but certainly not bad. My husband liked the candied walnut salad. His entree, the steak frites, was something he liked, but the cook on it seemed more medium rare than medium. He liked the fries as well. I enjoyed the redfish entree - the blackening spices were great. The fish was maybe a bit overcooked, but barely, and I thought the broccolini could've been roasted or given a bit more of an interesting "treatment." We got a side of lobster mashed potatoes, which had a nice bisque sauce on top, but they were initially cold. It was nice of our waiter to not offer to heat it up but instead give us a brand new dish. Later on, for RW dessert, my husband got the creme brulee and enjoyed it. The drinks were a bit uneven; he did not like the smoky whiskey/chocolate foam drink. My chipotle/raspberry cocktail was pretty tasty and creative. The service was so ridiculously slow. At one point, our waiter told us that the bar was backed up, and I believe him, but the restaurant should have a better sense of how long things take, how many people should be working, etc. And I was waiting on a glass of wine, not as time intensive to prepare as the aforementioned cocktails. The slowness of everything made us frustrated. The wine took 20 minutes (maybe 25?) to appear. My husband's creme brulee arrived 30-35 minutes after the entrees. This was weird timing that soured our experience. We didn't go here before a show, and we hope no one does!
