Okay, I'm at the hotel and I'm too lazy to go out, so that leaves me with the red bar. Not that there's anything wrong with the red bar, but hey, that's just what I'm gonna do anyway. I sat down, waited one or two minutes, and a guy showed up to take my drink and food order. I got the burger, I don't remember which one, it's got horseradish sauce on it. It was pretty tasty. I have a broken elbow at the moment, so I can only eat with one hand, and I don't know why I keep ordering foods that are not super easy to eat one-handed, but a saucy burger with a slippery bun is definitely one of those things. Not their fault. They didn't break my arm; it's all good. It was really tasty, the fries were good, I got a second drink without asking for it, paid and left. It's a bar-like atmosphere, fairly open. It's at the lobby level of the hotel. It's a solid experience.

We had to eat here three nights because we didn't wanna leave the hotel. The food was great all three times except for the second time we ordered the steak medium well it was well done burnt dry, horrible but I'll leave it to the fact that it was busy, so maybe that's why. Whatever they did to up their menu they did a good job. I would eat here again.

Great restaurant located inside of the Hyatt! Came here two days in a row for theirs burgers. The food was cooked perfectly and the atmosphere was casual and open. Our server V was amazing (who we had both nights). She was very very kind and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend going here!

Terrible service. Had a group of 11 for a corporate event and needed separate checks to get reimbursed, told the waitress and she said she can't do that and stormed off never to return. We ended up ordering at the bar and bringing the food back to the table. The bar staff was rude too because we had a table but we're ordering through them.

Intro: O the joys of trying. On my way back from Italy, I got stranded in Chicago. British Airways put me up at a hotel (Hyatt Regency O'Hare) for the night and gave me a $50 dining credit. I used half of it as Red Bar after checking into the hotel pretty late at night. Ambiance (4/5): Typical hotel bar. Pretty spacious. Plenty of seating both at the bar and at the tables. I sat at a table and was greeted pretty quickly by my waitress. Service (4/5): Friendly, attentive, and efficient. Exactly what I want out of a service experience. Especially in a situation like this where I wasn't in the best of moods and I was trying to get in and out quickly so I could go to bed. Drinks (N/A): No alcohol for me this time around. Just an Arnold Palmer. Food (4/5): The food exceeded my expectations. Better than your typical bar fare. I went with the citrus grilled chicken sandwich with fries. It was a generous portion. The fries were crisp. The chicken sandwich was well-marinated. A bit pricey, I guess you're paying the hotel premium. Overall: If you're staying at the Hyatt and you're looking for convenience, it's not a bad play. Pretty solid bar food. And there are plenty of TVs at the bar so you can watch some sports while you're at it.

I rarely give one star reviews on Yelp!, but I'm sorry, this experience and bar deserve it. Red Bar is a bar/restaurant inside of the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Hotel in Rosemont. I went with a group on Saturday to this hotel for Chicago Flashback Weekend Horror Convention (Great convention if you like horror - definitely recommend), and wanted to get some drinks and a snack with my group to close out the night after spending all day at the convention. We were seated at a table by a very nice hostess fairly quickly, (don't remember her name), and after that is where the problems began. We waited 20 minutes - no server checked up on us, but there was one patrolling our area serving everyone else but our table, and when she was not serving other tables, she went to the back lounge of the restaurant to chat with coworkers, go on her phone and eat food. So me and one other person from my group went up to the bar to get some drinks. We paid our bar tab and went back to our table expecting our server to come and at minimum take a food order - her name was "Lupita", horrible customer service. After another 10 minutes, we finally flagged Lupita down (who was not happy to speak with us already for whatever reason) and asked why she hasn't been stopping by our table, but everybody else's. She said that once we went to the bar, she cannot "intermingle" with us any longer, I have never heard of anything like that in my life (and neither did the manager, when we spoke to her). That also made no sense because she did not "intermingle" with us at all the first 20 minutes we waited, she deliberately ignored our table for whatever reason (maybe we didn't look like big tippers to her?). We asked for a manager and Lupita just brought the hostess over (lol), we asked the hostess for the manager and she told us the manager was too busy to come and speak with us, but gave us the managers business card with an email and phone number. I totally understand it's a Saturday night and a convention took place earlier and I am the furthest thing from a "Karen", but this customer service was just pathetic all around from not only Lupita, but also the manager that couldn't be bothered to come do her job, no time to talk to us measly convention peasants apparently. Not to mention basic, domestic beers (12 Oz) like Miller Lite are $10! I will never have another experience with this bar/restaurant and urge you all not to waste your time or money, horrible customer service and Lupita - a special shout out to you - you earned it!

My fiancé and I were at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare hotel in Rosemont for a convention and decided to grab a bite with some drinks after one night. The experience overall was just very meh; worse than your average hotel bar & restaurant. Restaurant was very clean looking overall and had a nice environment; good lighting and the music wasn't too loud. Service was also a plus, we were sat being told that the kitchen was behind, but still felt we were served in a timely fashion. Lots of cons to outweigh the pros unfortunately. Firstly, the cocktail we each ordered, First Class, wasn't balanced enough for that style of drink, and there was a discernible difference in strength between the two; price wasn't a shock, typical "Chicago" bar cost. The food needs its own paragraph because it was a terrible letdown. We'd looked up the menu beforehand online, and I was delighted that there were multiple options for me as a vegetarian/pescatarian. The paper menu we were handed had maybe half of the items that were listed online; only about 1/3 of the things I could eat and no entrées my fiancé cared for. We ended up splitting two appetizers, and they were beyond underwhelming. The fries were hot and fresh, but bland, completely devoid of any seasoning. The cheese quesadilla was also fresh off the griddle, yet also not impressive, with no flavor to it whatsoever. Not the worst place we've dined at. The overall aesthetic of this place though lead to a much higher expectation of food and beverage than they can deliver. A suggestion for improvement would be to make the menu listed online to be consistent with what's served in person.

Expensive and mediocre. Was disappointed in the quality of the mixed drinks and offering while this hotel hosted Godzilla-Fest this past weekend. If I'm going to spend 18 bucks on a cocktail, make it memorable.

A good bar can make a good hotel even better. The location in the Hyatt opens at 4pm. No booze prior unless you get it at the coffee shop. No, seriously. The service is excellent. Good mixologists, fine disposition and attention. Friendly, too. Good drinks! Will return!
