So I've lived in Skokie for over 30 years and Will's Place continues to be a great addition to our downtown. My husband and I ordered the burger and fried chicken Caesar sandwich and both were great. The staff always makes me smile every time I walk thru the door to pick up our food! Keep up the great work and way to help our community!!!

Some friends and I have been making the rounds for lunch in the area. We hadn't been to Will's Place, est. 2022, a nonprofit cafe that is dedicated to employment and vocational opportunities for adults with disabilities. This is a cozy little spot on Lincoln in downtown Skokie. The staff is quite friendly and happy to help. I ordered a Reuben sandwich, which was grilled and delicious - my only note is to add more sauerkraut. My friends ordered soup and sandwiches -- Southwest Turkey Melt and another Reuben. The food was great! The ambience and good vibes was even greater! And the brownies and other baked goods to die for. Support this worthy business and have a great meal in the process. I've heard that the breakfast sandwiches are quite popular and the burger looked really good -- maybe next visit?

This place is SO good! Will is in the kitchen with (I'm pretty sure) his parents. The servers, cashier, and bussers are matched perfectly with their abilities. And on top of all that, the food is excellent. Definitely get the blackberry lemonade.

The place is so cute, staff was extremely nice and patient with us as we ordered. The food was amazing and the blackberry lemonade was so fresh and sweet, the fruit inside looked fresh too! Can't wait to come back! Loved the music and entire ambiance of the place.

Absolutely incredible experience. As an SLP who has a heart for working with people with different abilities, this cafe is a wholesome, heartwarming experience for all - whether you have experience with special needs or not. Unique and homemade goods to buy, food, pastries, and drinks made with love, mixed with excellent and caring service. The prices are even extremely reasonable, and the ambiance was welcoming and calm. More places like this need to exist immediately!!!!!

Currently, they're in their soft opening stage - the grand opening is scheduled for the weekend! When we came in, we were provided a small menu - it offered: +Strawbery Lemonade +Turkey & Dill Havarti +Summer Roast Beef +Tomato Pesto Panini +Hot Dogs with Chips +a 'special sandwich' (apricot prosciutto panini with arugula and stracciatella cheese on a grilled sourdough bread when we were there) +Pasta Salad +and, Potato Salad We came here for an early lunch, and we tried: +the Summer Roast Beef - came with tomatoes, arugula, cheddar, and horseradish pickles on a seeded roll; stacked high, this was fresh, and I liked the addition of the pickles; I may request mayo and some extra pickles next time! +the Tomato Pesto Panini - prepared with provolone and basil on a toasted sourdough; my counterpart enjoyed hers and ate it all up +potato salad +pasta salad +strawberry lemonade - super refreshing +iced backed coffee The pasta and the potato salad were already pre-packaged in the fridge and dated, so you can just grab what you've already paid for. These were more vinegar-forward, but the potatoes and the pasta were cooked and dressed well. I liked the addition of the halved cherry tomatoes in the pasta salad! Prices are more on the steep end - the sandwiches are served with a pickle, but I wished it came with a side of chips or something. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly! Plenty of tables inside, as well as a a couple of tables set outside for those who like to dine al fresco. Look for the red and white striped awning! This place deserves all the love. I visited one weekend after hearing about it from my brother. We initially came on a Friday but it was a little too early for lunch so I ended up getting some pastries. I saw they made them on their Instagram so I was excited to try, and they were delicious! I came back on Saturday for lunch and we got Will himself taking our order and bringing us food. I felt like I was meeting a celebrity haha. They have a half&half lunch special. My sandwich and soup were good. I also tried the mac & cheese and loved it. Seeing others in the community chat with the owner and having such an overall calming atmosphere was so nice. The employees are all so wonderful. I can't wait to visit again.
