There seems to be a theme in Summit and that is amazing Mexican food! I had this gem for the first time today and decided to indulge in a few items. We got two steak tacos, a torta, and a tostada each of which were mouth watering. You will search all over the country trying to find this kind of authentic flavor and if you ever do, please let me know. Pro tip: add cilantro and onion to maximize the flavor!

I needed to try this place since I have dined at all the Mexican restaurants in Summit. The result of my expereince was One and Done. Although my visit was carry out, I don't believe chips and salsa (if they serve them) would have made a difference. The tacos (al pastor & steak), tortas and burritos were below average at best. And the worst part of the experience is they did not include all the items I paid for which "forced" me to return the following day to receive my complete order. The owner did not apologize for the missing item. Rarely do you see a crowd dining at this particular restaurant. I don't understand how they remain open for business.

If there's one thing I know from my brief life, it's never piss off a Mexican. Using that mantra, I've pissed off the Burrito Gods. I cheated on El Farol with this closer place (just by two blocks) and it's been two days and those BGs are still beating me up. I swung in here after an insanely hectic week at work that was not gonna get better anytime soon. Utilizing the free night I may have for the next sixteen months, I was determined to hit up The Jug and needed food. Well, I thought for the sake of Yelping someplace new, I' d hit it. And now it's whooping me up hardcore. The beef tacos are small. Four bites worth of greasy meat that really didn't do it for me. Even with sour cream, avocado and lettuce. I moved on to the Widowmaker- the Chicken Burrito. I figured it out, Burritos are like penises. They come in many different sizes and there can be more than burrito that is pleasing. I found the Stumper. A hand and a half wide and only the size of my hand, this stomach destroyer looked impressive if taking the prior into account. That's where the fun ends. By the end of my fourth bite, a map of Hawaii was left on my tray and luckily not on me. The grease that spilled out was a warning sign that I chose to ignore. I continued with this super messy penisburrito. I had it finished in ten minutes and needed twenty napkins to wipe the destroyer off of my face. So what I have learned: I learned that when you find a place that serves an amazing burrito, at amazing hours, you don't cheat on 'er. No, you don't. Until then, find me curled up in bed, next to a picture of myself with an El Farol burrito.

I popped in this place because I was in the neighborhood and now I'm addicted! Try the awesome bacon wrapped shrimp (my favorite food wrapped around my 2nd favorite food). And the fajitas have a great sauce which tastes like someones grandma slaved in the kitchen all day. Even the chips and salsa are outstanding. I mean it's not Frontera or anything but with heavy emphasis on fresh seafood and obvious care with which they prepare the food this is definitely a step up from the neighborhood burrito joint.

Came in for lunch with a friend. Place was very clean. Our food was amazing and not badly priced either. The menu was easy to read. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, was the red sauce salsa. The red was alittle too watery for my taste. The green sauce was very good and the Pico Dr Gallo was ok just needed more tomatoes.

They're food is really good. Ive had their caldo de res, camarones al mojo de ajo (garlic shrimp), pozole, beef and chicken tacos. Never tried their burritos, but everything else is good. On the weekends when I'm craving Pozole, I pick it up from here.

Great food, got the steak taco dinner. Great tasting water. Good horchata . Just a foul odor when we walked in, like a moldy smell. We had a coupon but they entered the wrong amount and got less of a discount.

I have been coming to this place for a few years now and I can say beside Lalos, Burrito Mex comes in a close second for serving great authentic Mexican food. The food is really well done, and the proportions are eloquent for what you are paying for. My two favorites are the shrimp cocktail and steak nachos which are done very well done, and continue to be delicious each time I go back. The owner is a really nice guy, and he is usually the cook, so therefore he takes pride and effort in preparing your meal for you each time. Check this place out!!

Summit is full of Mexican restaurants, and this is by far the best in town, maybe within a 10 mile radius. The food is warm and delicious, and I would never go elsewhere.
