This message is a glowing review for the manager, Brian. I had initially typed up a one star review while I was waiting on hold to speak with him after I called to notify them my medium pepperoni I ordered was prepared incorrectly and instead I received a thin crust pizza. I was told initially by the young lady who came on the line that this is just how the medium pizzas come out, even though I explained to her I had just recently placed the identical order last week and the pizza was prepared correctly then. By the time Brian came on the line, I was mostly done writing the scathing review I have since replaced with this glowing review.

Brian was patient, kind, understanding and apologetic. It is refreshing to find an establishment with a manager who is willing to take ownership for an error that is inevitably bound to occur. He did explain that most folks are not used to the thinner Brooklyn style crust and they get a lot of calls complaining the crust is too thin, hence the confusion that occurred prior to our discussion. After I explained to Brian that I’m a Jewish guy from Queens and I know the difference between a regular crust and a thin crust, he promptly offered to remake the pizza and deliver it himself.

The pizza is as close to the real thing as you’ll get on the Coast. If you want thicker crust, you can ask for it, but enjoy the pizza the way it’s supposed to be made, only make sure you check the quality control prior to digging in to a Matzoh pizza, thin and crunchy, which does have its place from time to time! Essentially, order what you want and make sure you get it. And if by some chance it’s not what you ordered, ask for Brian, be respectful and if it’s something that needs to be made right, he’ll go above and beyond. And he made me a large on the return.

Waited nearly 40 minutes and paid nearly $20 to get the most disgusting, soggy, and greasy pizza. 2 slices were inedible. The thing was barely even cut. Even worse, this was IN HOUSE, it wasn’t really all that busy. I did let the Pizza cool and it was still quite a mess. I’m not going to confront workers over bad food, so this is my review and my response. This will be my first and LAST time here.

Jan 19 2:00, pizza was excellent 👌.  However I did notice a few things that were of concern to me as a retired health inspector..
1. Effective hair restraints not in place by all employees in food prep area.
2. Gloves not being worn by any persons handling food.
3. Gentleman in obvious street clothes leaning on food prep Counter.
Counter person was friendly even joking with me to make me feel welcome.. service was prompt...

I was born and raised in New York City, and am a huge pizza snob. When I was visiting ocean springs with friends and they wanted to order pizza I had very low expectations. But I was pleasantly surprised! The pepperoni pizza was honestly really good. Sauce was flavorful and not too sweet. Cheese was flavorful and the right level of greasy. Pepperoni was high quality. Crust was foldable, as it should be. IAnd price was very reasonable. I'd happily eat this pizza again!

This place cannot be any more accommodating. I enjoy wings with lots of sauce and flavor but my wife prefers the lighter side of the house with more emphasis on the chicken flavor. They were not only able to accommodate both of us, they served the wings on separate trays and made sure which wings were intended for us.

Additionally, the cashier took her time to talk to me and ask how I would enjoy my calzone and offer options that were not even on the menu to make sure my experience was elevated to the next level.

All it takes is a bit of kindness and this pizza shop has all of this and more!
