Nice little local hot dog and sandwich shop! Went for lunch on a Saturday and it was pretty busy, though no problems finding a table. Ordering can get a but hectic; they forgot one of our items and needed to be reminded. Keep a lookout for specials that aren't on the menu but are printed out and put up on the walls.

Ordered two conecuh sandwiches and a chili dog. All were good. The conecuh in particular was good quality and cooked well. Toppings were fairly standard, nothing particularly memorable.

Never tried a breakfast sandwich with a hamburger bun, but I definitely enjoyed it. Had the egg and cheese with no mayo. I'd rather go here than ANY fast food or alot of dine in  fast breakfast spots. The decor is history of Sam and so on, worth checking out. Great location and super clean. The staff always warms my heart.

Yeah idk how Sam's Super Samwiches made it on the list of top 5 best hotdog spots in Birmingham. I just tried it for lunch and I ordered a chili dog and a burger.

Let's start with the chili dog. First look it looked as if someone just piled wet dog food on top. Like an insanely amount of chili was on this thing. Not to mention it was bland so I basically took a bite into pure mush.

The burger it looked good but ended up being extremely bland and the only thing I tasted was the sauce they put on it.

I just couldn't finish this. 2/5 from me. Go check this place out.

I'll be sticking with Paul's Hotdogs, Gus's Hotdogs, and Tony's Hotdogs from now on. Take Sam's off that top 5 list and put Paul's in that spot.
