Must donuts if you are in Alaska!! It is made to order which I like!! Unique flavors too!! Location: It is located Juneau Alaska. It's just a bakery with no seating inside. Great display of donuts. You would want to buy everything. Service: not much interaction, just order on the menu and they made it from their kitchen. I can see that they were just making it when I ordered. Food: I ordered their famous SALMON DONUT and as weird as it sounds it was good to be honest. It reminded me of salmon cream cheese on a bagel but instead it is on the donut! The donut itself is soft and fried well. Price rating: 6/10. It was not expensive. Definitely will come back to try other donut flavors when I come back to Alaska.

The texture, though, was a bit unexpected. It was dense--like, really dense. Not your typical fluffy donut; more on the chewy side and actually kind of hard to cut. That might be an Alaska thing? They had a bunch of other eye-catching flavors, including some really unusual options like salmon donuts. (Not sure if those count as donuts or more like sandwiches, but we didn't go there.) The shop itself was clean, and the staff was super friendly despite how busy it was. If you're coming off a cruise or just exploring downtown Juneau, it's definitely worth a stop--especially if you're up for something a little different.

I really enjoy the vibe of the place and the zany don't creations they have. Shocked it a star since star of the show seems to be the toppings as in my case that's where all the flavor was at. Beneath the topping was a simple white donut that was dry. Service was fast and attentive. Might come pack here and try another one sometime. Keep up the innovation!

While doing some shopping in Juneau before getting back on our cruise ship, we came across this interesting option for a snack. We weren't feeling adventurous enough to try the Salmon Donut and chose the fairly tame Cookie Monster. It was a pretty good yeast donut. Very little wait to order once we made up our minds. I wish we had taken the opportunity to try the Russian Dumplings they offer.

It's a cute local donut shop that originates from Ketchikan. There are currently 2 locations in Alaska. This review is for the Juneau location. It serves unique donuts, dumplings, Korean corn dogs, and fish on a stick. Kind of interesting, right? There is very limited high top table seating. One will become available if you're lucky. These are big & beautifully decorated donuts. Some even have a little sparkle in the glaze that makes it look like the shiny bell of a jellyfish. It's denser than your usual donut. It's more like a bread. Some say it's a yeast donut, but I'm pretty sure it's a brioche one. My husband's Chocoholic donut may have been fresher than mine. It was a tad lighter than mine. My Strawberry Rhubarb flavor was good, but I kind of wish I had tried the local Spruce Tip Raspberry flavor. They were both extremely sticky. There's no way to eat it without getting it everywhere. Not a bad thing. We thankfully had wet wipes. We were both very happy with the mocha latte. It was much needed after walking on the Alpine Loop Trail earlier that morning. I think they are more known for their savory & salmon donuts. That's definitely what I'd like to try next time. I'd say it's worth a visit. The good news is that you'll see it again in Ketchikan. You might as well try it.

The price of these donuts is pretty steep, however the donuts themselves are yummy. We tried the salmon donut and the maple donut. Both donuts had great texture and were pretty large. The salmon was savory, but not overpowering in flavor. The maple was also delicious and not too sweet.

Jellyfish Donuts in Juneau is the kind of place where you walk in and immediately question everything you thought you knew about donuts and possibly reality. We had the salmon donut. Yes. You read that correctly. A salmon donut. Lightly sweet, a little smoky, topped with green onions and cream cheese like a bagel that ran off to join the circus. Surprisingly delicious. The fish and cream cheese were cold and perfectly blended, the dough was fluffy, and the green onions gave it just the right amount of chaotic energy. We also had a vanilla latte. It was perfectly fine. You know when someone tells you a story that's not bad, but you immediately forget it after they finish talking? That was this latte. Polite. Respectable. Mildly forgettable. The vibe inside is delightfully strange. Think Capitol Hill in Seattle but if everyone traded their tattoos for rain boots and told you about the best place to see whales. There was art. There was character. I'm pretty sure the table we stood at used to be part of a boat. The staff were super friendly and gave off strong "we make weird food, and we love it" energy which I fully support. They also serve Russian dumplings which I regret not ordering but that just gives me an excuse to come back and make even more questionable breakfast decisions. Jellyfish Donuts is weird in the best way. Come hungry. Come curious. Leave confused and full.

Didn't think I would like a doughnut with salmon, but it worked. We tried at least three flavors (split 3 ways), and we enjoyed them all. Service was good. The owner was nice. The ambience is casual. Freshly made and you can see them making the doughnuts. We definitely recommend trying them.

An unusual concept snack joint in Juneau Alaska. The donuts were huge and all looked great, but we decided to go with the mammoth mozzarella stick. A $10 mozzarella stick on a stick served with marinara sauce. Our original order was wrapped in too much dough and arrived undercooked, pretty badly so, BUT I brought it right back to the counter and the lovely owner took back the old one and set us up with a new one (wrapped in less dough) and it was... very very hot, but very very good.
