This is a really cool adventure. Seeing the many area glacier's from the air gives a completely different perspective than from a boat (both are great). From the air you can see how massive these sheets of ice are. It's also amazing to see the different patterns and colors they have. Flight was pretty much narrated by a recording, with the pilot jumping in every once in a while. Small planes, but seats were comfortable and it was really cool to take off and land on the water. (Much smoother than I would have expected). Everything was run very professional but it is a bit of a walk from the curse ship docks to the planes. Highly recommend!

Several years ago we took a flight to Taku Lodge and really enjoyed it but we weren't able to purchase some shirts or bling from the trip. They recently opened a shop where we could purchase some items that reminded us of our trip. The staff were very helpful and we bought a couple of shirts and a hat.

Wings Airways in Juneau, what a great operation. Historic aircraft, updated to modern standards. Taku Lodge also a great experience. Two flights with them, hope we can do a third!

The most amazing excursion we've ever done in Juneau. The views were great from the plane. The salmon was delicious. All the staff were kind and informative. We truly enjoyed this place. The glacier view from the lodge were incredible. Almost unbelievable that we got to experience the beauty of this place. Highly recommend this excursion.

Taku River Lodge is a semi-remote lodge overlooking Taku Glacier. The restaurant can only be accessed via seaplane or boat making the journey just as exciting as the meal! The flight to Taku River Lodge makes the meal well worth booking. The flight offers scenic views from a seaplane with a narration describing the geology and history of the topography flying over. Upon landing, you are welcome to roam the grounds that offer scenic glacial views, easy hikes in the woods, and various activities to keep you entertained while waiting for your reservation. The meal is served in a smaller dining room in the original lodge structure. It is buffet style where all tables queue up to get their meal. All the items served were AMAZING to the point where we felt the need to purchase a cookbook for their delicious recipes. The only areas of caution: 1.) Bring bug spray- the mosquitos were really bad on the grounds. They do provide spray gratis, however, i would have been happier using my own higher grade spray given the number of mosquitos. 2.) please note a short (20ish minutes) flight in a small seaplane is required to access the site. those with flight anxiety or mobility challenges getting in / out of sea plane may opt for other options. Overall, this was among my favorite things we did in Juneau and highly recommend it to others!

What a incredible time!! We booked the Lunch and 5 Glaciers tour and it was mind blowing ! Just a little bumpy we took end of September 2024. The lodge was so incredible the meal and the views! 100000 star experience

Though disappointed that the lodge tour was not wheelchair accessible, the glacier tour via float plane exceeded expectations. Wings was flexible and accommodating to make sure I could have the same great experience as other passengers. The narration tape was reminiscent of the Jurassic Park tour in the movie, but we liked when Captain John gave his personal narration. The size of the plane lets you get up close for great views.

Had a beautiful aerial tour of glaciers over Juneau while visiting in September. Everyone was super nice and was very welcoming. They had a great gift shop where I scored a gorgeous embroidery kit, an original option for a souvenir that I appreciated over the usual stuff. Highly recommend!

We booked this excursion via Princess Cruises. The staff at the office were very nice. We got our assignment and waited for our turn. My wife was very nervous (she's always nervous to fly) but the pilot was very professional and the plane was sturdy. We took off from the water and got to see several glaciers. It was such a beautiful flight! We landed on the water at Taku Lodge. The grounds are beautiful. There were fresh, wild berries to pick. We walked around on our own and one of the staff took us for a walk as well. Lunch was SPECTACULAR with fresh, grilled coho salmon, beans; bread, apples, and cookies. The ice in our glasses came from the glacier across the river. My wife doesn't usually like fish but she LOVED this salmon. 10/10. The flight back was beautifully uneventful. Lol. Highly recommend these businesses if you are in Juneau.

Yesterday we called twice, booked and confirmed with the company a 3pm departure for 5 people. When we arrived there we were told they had no records of our reservation, and that it was due to a "glitch" that they are aware of. Imagine our utmost disappointment as it was my son's birthday and this was supposed to be his special celebration dinner. His little daughter is still asking why we were not going on a seaplane. This left us deflated and so very disappointed at their unprofessional conduct, especially since we got a call from them an hour later, offering a different tour. Hmmm, seems somehow they did have our phone number after all.
