At our favorite, grab a quick breakfast spot on Shawnee Mission. We come here almost every Saturday morning, prior to bowling events. Yeah, it's Burger King, nothing fancy. We come here because of the EMPLOYEES....hard working, friendly people. The most notable among them is Alexandra. She always has a smile on her face (as they all do) and an infectious laugh. Nothing bothers her and she works through it all....even though she is pregnant. Like should have had the baby yesterday pregnant. Today at 9:30, she was one of only 3 people running the entire place and they were busy! Her service never skipped a beat, although it was obvious she should have been off her feet. This young lady deserves a BONUS and RAISE! The world needs more Alexandras....we would all be better for more people like her and the staff of this Burger King.

Absolutely shocked at the low ratings, perhaps we were just lucky at our timing which was a quiet Sunday early lunch. We haven't been to a BK in ages but I wanted to try their shroom 'n swiss melt. The biggest shock was that this location looked like new but the friendly manager informed us if was over 10 years old! Well done BK staff this was a super clean and well maintained location! Our order was perfect and taken quickly, order also done quickly. They even have one of those cool soda machines where you can mix and maybe your own special drink. The onion rings were delicious, probably frozen ones but cooked nice and crispy and we love the rings sauce! The only drawback was the shroom burger toasted bread wasn't very toasty at all, it was soft, otherwise it would have been great. Well all in all a great experience at the BK! Great job Shawnee mission location!

The worst service! Two cars in the parking lot and you're told to wait at the drive thru. So after 10 mins I left. Just as bad as it was when it was across Shawnee Mission Parkway in 10 quivira plaza! Should be 0 stars

It says it opens at 6am but the lady never shows up on time ... on Friday I along with my son were waiting since 6am she shows up at 6:20am and never acknowledges us being at the window... still waited but I left furious at 6:35am ... no wonder they are going out of business... if I could give it 0 stars I would... Never again

Stop at the first window so you don't start their order timer.... Nobody in front, cheating metrics. Person at front window held up the receipt 2 feet away and asked if it was right (for online order). Person manning the first window then disappeared after giving me my receipt and asking me to wait at the first window. I was unable to let the person know that the drink and side were wrong on the order because they were gone. He popped back in 4 minutes to motion me move forward, and just didn't notice that I was trying to point out the error on my order... The person at the second window then mentioned that I should really tell someone at the first window next time. Food was good enough, cooking and supplies aren't the problem, its cheating metrics and ignoring issues that is their problem (also bk is now one of the most expensive fast food restaurants... Should probably work more on customer relations?). Pretty sure I'm done with them though.

My poor son had a two hour doctor's appointment, so I wanted to treat him to a little snack before taking him back to the drudgery of school. He asked for Burger King's hash browns. It was still breakfast hours. So we pull into the drive through, and no one was ahead of us, either in line, or up at the window. Yet the employee through the speaker asked me to wait. So I did. For a full 3 minutes! (I know, there's an exclamation mark there, but you have to understand, when you're in the drive through somewhere and no one is ahead of you, and they ask you to wait, every second feels like an eternity! Leave it to say my 12-yr old son was having quite the time on TikTok during our wait.) Finally I am asked for my order, which I give; 2 large hash browns and 1 large Diet Coke. (An oxymoron to have "diet" with hash browns, but hey...a lady's gotta live!) My total was not displayed on the board in the drive up, nor did the employee confirm my order, she just asked me to pull ahead. (Uh, am I the only one who pauses at the first window when it's closed wondering if someone's going to quickly show up to take my $?) I honestly looked at my son and said, "Clearly multi-tasking is not their forte' at this location." I pulled to the second window (after my 1st window pause, of course) and again waited. No one came to the window to inform me of anything or to take my money. So I put the car in park and prepared for the long haul. After a bit of a wait (I was honestly so irritated at this point, I have no sense of time), an employee told me my total. I gave her cash (I know, right...who carries cash anymore, and everyone seems to be boycotting it at establishments, so I was a bit nervous about handing her the $. ) She gave me my change (thank you for wearing gloves...when did you last change those?) and handed me my drink. I asked for a straw, then she handed me the bag with the hash browns. I instinctively handed it to my son, who set it on his lap, as I pulled away, headed for the school. My rather non-picky eating 12-yr old was anxious to dig in the bag, and when he ate the first hash brown, he said, "Um, Mom...here. Try one." Oh my. It was a grease pit. Literally, grease covered my tongue. It was gross. Then my son lifted the bag off his lap to grab his book bag and get things ready for getting out of the car at the school (Burger King is literally blocks away from Rhein Benninghoven Elementary) when he noticed a very large and obnoxious grease stain ~ yep ~ right THERE. By this time, I was in front of the school (where they could see me when I pulled up on their cameras and through the windows) and we were pretty much committed to him having to deal with this grease stain on his lap. He pulled his shirt way down (thank you for him deciding to wear his Chief's SuperBowl Championship shirt, which is adult size) and into the school we went to check him in. When I left, I decided to take that bag of nasty hash browns BACK to Burger King where I got it, since I was so close by. Again, in the drive through, no one ahead of me, no cars pulled up to the window, and the employee asked me to wait. At this point, I was pretty much beyond emotional help, and decided to spout off. "For WHAT?!" I asked. The employee didn't respond, so I assumed either she didn't hear me or didn't care, and when she finally asked me for my order, I told her briefly I was here a few minutes prior and got extremly nasty hash browns, and wanted a refund or a replacement. She simply stated, "pull up." I had the grease-soaked bag in my hand when I drove up to the second window (no pause this time, thank you!) and waited while an employee finally approached and said, "What do you want?" I handed her the bag, and said, "they're grease soaked. I'd like a replacement or my money back." To which she quickly replied, "They're COOKED in GREASE!" ‍ Then she closed the window and walked away. I obviously drove away because I'm not an idiot. Even though every fiber of my being wanted to stay and honk my horn until someone came to the window (I now think I should have ) I went home with my grease laden treat for my son, who was now sporting a "wet stain" you-know-where in 6th grade! Receipt in hand, I called the store to talk to someone. I got a voice mail. I left a very pleasant, kind, wonderful message letting them know just how happy I was. Then I noticed on the receipt that there's a "BKExperience.com/survey" site and a nice code to enter all my transaction information, so I took the time to go through the ENTIRE process of explaining in less detail (and absolutely NO comedy) just what transpired. I DID mark at the end of the survey that I wanted someone to contact me regarding "my experience". I will note today is Saturday, and I went on Tuesday, so I doubt I'll hear from anyone from that little ditty. HOWEVER ~ there is justice after all. It is called, SOCIAL MEDIA.

For some reason this store runs out of everything and is poorly ran. In the past they have ran out of meat. This time fish, chicken nuggets and they are continually out of receipt tape. I know slow service is because on a Friday night they have 2 people that showed up for work. But they closed the store in Bonner Springs so they are the only one close by. If you go to BK in Shawnee count on slow service and make sure that all of your order is in the bag. Especially if you have to pull around and wait. I have had to go back in line the last 2 times we have gone there

Employees are horrible and unable to complete an order correctly. Both of our sandwiches were messed up and when we asked for a remake it wasn't brought out. Go elsewhere.

Not sure why all the negative referencing this Burger King. Visited numerous times and have not had a bad experience to date. Employees seem to be on focus and want to shout out to Moises for his professional customer service. The food has always been hot and fresh. Maybe the issues are with drive-thru in the evenings which should be addressed via Management, but during the day inside, the service is great.
