Everything Penny does is outstanding! This place is no exception. I was lucky enough to meet Penny at Bamboo Penny's at a Yelp Elite Event. She enchanted me. She was amazing and very creative. I love both her story and her cooking. Penny's in the Village is fantastic!! We enjoyed our delicious appetizers and the main course which we shared, was Khao Soi, a coconut chicken soup with noodles and crispy wontons. We had three delicious appetizers, including the Rangoon, pork dumplings, and fresh rolls. My wife remarked on how cute this place was, both inside and out. It's adorable. Everything was excellent! We love this place!

The happy hour is the way to go! The drinks were great, like the soju sagria was well made. It's a nice environment and great services. The crab Rangoon is better than many places that I had, the wrapper is very crispy and thin. I wish the fresh spring roll would be more traditional style. It's mostly crystal noodle. Overall, the happy hour was a great experience.

We had a fantastic time at Penny's with our lovely waitress who is also the manager of the bar - I think her name is Blue (lovey!) The service was fantastic and really set this place apart. We love bamboo penny's and are so happy we have our own Penny's here in prairie village! The food is fantastic - especially love the Panang Curry and the yellow curry. They were flavored just right and so good! The panang is a perfect choice for a crowd pleaser - nice coconut flavor and slight spice. We also asked for the spice plate so we can each flavor to our content. I love the one with a vinegar tang and fish sauce. The appetizers we got were a combo platter - so we could try a bit of everything! The drinks were also fantastic - so refreshing, and you really can't go wrong with their menu. We will DEFINITELY be back! So happy that we have a great Penny's location here. And if you get Blue - she is fantastic and the loveliest human

A fantastic addition to the PV shops. With patio season here, Pennys is definitely going into our regular rotation. Happy Hour runs 3-6pm. I've always loved the Leawood location, so I was thrilled to see one open in PV. The food and service were excellent as expected. we had the veggie combo app, cashew chicken stir fry cooked perfectly, and the Laab salad. All were outstanding. Shoutout to our server Keith for being so friendly and attentive.

This place has the cutest decor and seating! It definitely felt well curated and the staff were just as nice! Our waiter was very attentive and even brought out a spice selection to add to our food. I do wish the tables had purse hooks or even having chairs with a spot to keep purses because the chairs were circular and small so no place to store it rather than your lap unfortunately. The food was pretty mediocre, sadly. It did taste like authentic thai food but i just could not justify the price of it for a basic meal. We also got the fried wings and those were tiny in size too. Overall, I think there are better thai restaurants in KC.

Everything was fantastic from the service to the food. The Chef did not skip on the flavors. Everything was really well seasoned and she provided a mixture of fresh ingredients. The Khao soi had such deep flavors and the chicken was so moist. The pad see ew and pad Thai were amazing and well seasoned. We loved everything we had. We can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Food - really good Service - great Ambiance nice and bright green and complimentary color scheme. Went on 2/26/25 during happy hour. Place on 1 side was mostly empty but that's perfect for me. Got a nice Athletic Lite (na beer) and the happy hour combo. You get to pick 3 of 4 options on the menu. Their "penny's rangoon" is the creamiest Crab Rangoon I've ever had. Dumplings are good (maybe bigger @ Bamboo Penny's) with all 4 sauces included Spring rolls are w/o shrimp and that's ok, is a great starter/app you get 4 halves with the combo. I really like this place as a quick stop for lunch, esp during happy hour, hopefully they do good business in the evenings and weekends as the h.hour @ 3.30 or so was seemingly dead except for a older crowd on a weekday (maybe typical).

Went for our anniversary . Ate outside Had chicken satay wonderful sauces and flavor on the chicken . Basil and cashew chicken dishes you can tell a lot of love went into everything Total with tip 77$ Outside chairs were very comfy thank you and shaded thank you ! Wait staff was perfect

We had a 5:45 PM dinner reservation for 3 on Wednesday, 15 October. One of our party arrived at 5:30 PM was was denied seating at a table until "the rest of her party arrived." At that time, there was only one table occupied, out of 20+ tables on the east patio, only one table on the south patio and only two tables inside entire restaurant. She was offered a seat at the bar, although there wasn't a bar tender working at that time. That person left and walked to Cafe Provence to enjoy a drink until my date and I arrived. When we arrived at 5:40 PM, we were denied being seated at a table until "the rest of our party joined us." When asked the reason for this policy, when the restaurant tables are less than 10% occupied, the answer was to avoid the wait staff needing to make additional trips to serve the table until everyone is present. We told them to cancel our dinner reservation with them and the three of us enjoyed a delightful, and delicious meal at nearby Cafe Provence.
