I've stayed here many times over the years, but unfortunately this confirmed why I stopped. The experience fell below the baseline I associate with the Marriott brand: stained sheets, bad lighting, system failures at check-in, and a breakfast that felt like an afterthought. I don't expect perfection. I expect alignment with what's promised. I won't be staying here again, and I hope Marriott revisits how they hold brand integrity at the franchise level. This isn't about one bad night -- it's about whether you want guests to trust the name on the door."

Found a used, bloody tampon on the floor of the room and hair all over the shower. Went to the front desk and spoke with a guy named steven, he gave us a new room after we asked and said it could've come from a boxer with a bloody nose... not sure if this was supposed to make us feel better, blood is blood regardless of where it comes from. He said he'd bring it up to his manager but they never reached out further or offered anything to improve our experience. Pretty disappointing and disgusting.

I booked here because I have had great experiences staying at other Marriott hotels in the past. The courtyard was one of the pricier hotels in the area and a farther drive to the hospital, but I thought it would be worth it for the quality of service I expected to receive. I booked with a 3rd party so I got the room For $150 instead of the almost $200 I would've paid booking directly through the Marriott app. Even with the discount I feel their prices are way to high for the poor quality of service and rooms at this location. I checked in a little before 9pm. I booked this room for myself and one other person because we had to be at a local hospitals for clinical by 6am the next morning. I explained this to the woman at the front desk and asked if she could make an extra key and keep it at the desk with the other persons name on it so I would not have to be woken up around midnight when they arrived. I watched her make the 2nd key and even spelled out the first and last name of the person. The other person staying with me arrived a little before midnight and told the woman her name and the room number and said there should be a key for her. I guess the women I checked in with had left and it was a different woman. The key with the room number was at the desk, but it did not have a name on it. This woman said they could not give her the key until they spoke with me so the woman at the desk called the room phone and woke me up. I understand the second woman was just doing her job, but I find it completely unacceptable that the other woman did not put the name on the room key. It's especially frustrating considering I explained to her that I would be going to sleep right away and didn't want to have to be woken up when the other person arrived. I had a very difficult time getting back to sleep after being woken up and was exhausted the next day because of this. I also do not think the room had been cleaned appropriately. There was sticky stuff on the desk, a small puddle of water on the bathroom floor, and what appeared to be white toothpaste in the sink.

We had a wonderful stay! The entire staff was incredibly kind, and Dominique made the most beautiful and delicious breakfast

The housekeeping was non existent. We stayed for four days and didn't have housekeeping once. We had to throw our own trash away, we didn't have enough towels to begin with and had to keep getting things from the front desk. I asked whoever was at the front desk if there was any trick to getting housekeeping to come and they said they are supposed to do every other day. NOT ONCE did we get a knock on the door from housekeeping and while we were out our room was never cleaned. We ended up having ants the very first day. I would advise looking for other accommodations. This hotel is terrible. I was told by the front desk that our room was going to be put on the schedule to be cleaned, but no one did anything. Housekeeping here is non existent. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

We need Negative stars! I've taken call girls to nicer hotels than this dump!! it completely shocks me that this location is a courtyard by Marriott while checking in after 9 o'clock one evening I proceeded to unload all my bags get my room set up then I finally take my shoes off and the entire carpet is soaking wet the Ptac has been leaking. when I called downstairs there was no sense of urgency to get me moved nor really sincere apology while in my replacement room it was extremely hot since the AC was not working when I turned it on, a strong odor blew out and filled up the room I removed the filters and proceeded to clean them myself because of the funk and the lack of airflow. The very next morning I discovered that my patio door had been left pen by either the previous guest and or house cleaning I Was completely unaware that the room 217 had a patio and the night before I could not see it since it was dark but I'm glad I didn't because it was filthy for cigarettes and even lighters from the previous guest Every horizontal surface had a thick layer of dust, shower head has never been cleaned, peoples pubic hair all over the bathroom The next morning as I was checking out early since I had planned to be there all week there was really no apology it seem like the The staff just didn't care I spoke to a manager who had a tag that stated general manager but he talks more of a chef and a cook uniform he just apologized but he never did ask what can I do to make it btter or what he could do to help me with my situation as I was leaving. He made no attempt and clearly that's why the hotel isn't such a horrible condition because management doesn't care therefore there is no pride and passion to trickle down to the staff I must say the Homewood suites by Hilton is such a newer well-kept and nice property and I'm glad to continue my weeklong stay here

Lousy costumer service. The morning front desk person was unfriendly and unengaging. We were told by the night clerk that we will get a hit breakfast with our hotel fee. We got to the breakfast area at 8am ( breakfast closes at 9am) there was no hot breakfast or any breakfast. We asked the front desk and he told us was no breakfast. After I told him that our room fee included breakfast , he pointed at the grabb and go. There was no food . Another employee gave us some milk and cereal. Why is this place advertising and charging for breakfast when they are not providing it? Room was not clean and obviously they are not keeping up with the maintenance.

If you want a pool, don't stay at Marriott Topeka. We used points to book with Topeka Marriott based on their website showing they had a pool. When I called to inquire if they also had a jacuzzi, I was informed they didn't have a pool and hadn't one since the remodel 2 years ago. Although we were mislead, by their website, they wouldn't let us cancel. We basically paid for two hotels because we stayed at Hilton Garden Inn with a pool and a jacuzzi. I highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn. We are are done with Marriott points and all.

I only give this two stars because the staff is great but I stayed at motels better than the courtyard it smells like mildew and cigarette smoke The cleanliness of the room was poor to a Marriott standard and also there's hole in the wall by the sprinkler system. I would not recommend staying here I'm sure there's better choices in town. Please do your research when you look at a hotel I would've checked but I was such in a hurry when booking hotel I do see others have complained about certain things as well. Again the staff is friendly here but friendly staff only carries things a certain level that's why I give two stars, If it wasn't for them it be a one.
