Wichita's oldest bar, where the St Patrick's day decor stays up year round and where they've got Jameson ON TAP. Just a few blocks from the original Nu-way and a mid length walk from and almost-the-oldest bar, Merle's. Service was adequate, music was random and loud.

Although it doesn't quite fulfill my beer garden requirements, the Shamrock is a friendly place with a happy but smokey, patio, to sit and have beers. Thursday night, ride your bicycle down and see a not-too-shabby assemblage of vintage cruisers and the characters to match.

One of wichita s premier dives ...good music way reasonable prices and a vary eclectic mix of music...hipsters kept in check and the shuffleboard table is like a chick you been banging for 12 years and wii always give you something fun that won't require shots afterwards. ..Staff good and people watching is A++ as it always somewhat of a show ....dress is casual like wayyyy casual thong and tube top acceptable. ..food good although not a destination eatery haven't sent anything back

The worst experance ever...first impressions were good when we walked in. Great blues band playing and a couple of good Jack and cokes from the female bar tender. That's where the good ended. Went bar to the bar for another round and this time there's a male bar tender. I asked for a tall double Jack and coke this time. He poured my drink but put maby a half an ounce of Jack. I called him on it, he insisted that it was right. I guarantee he held that bottle up for no more than two seconds; this was supposed to be a double! I went back to my table of friends on tHe patio and said don't have that guy tender pour you drinks, all my friends immediately piped up and said oh you got screwed too? I said this is BS and went back to the bar and I asked for the owner. He came out and I told him the situation. He could have cared a less. He said we have a 3 second pour policy and that his guy had been here for years and he wasn't going to sit and argue with me. I said this was a double "supposed to be a 6 sec pour" and that the tender barlry held it for two seconds. He laughed. I told him im not paying for the drink. He said fine don't pay for it. I told hime it's on a tab and needs to be taken off. He did as I asked, very pissed off. However the rest of the night got even worse after that. I ordered a beer in a bottle this time. You can't mess with the content of a beer so that was safe. Went back to the table on the patio. Sat for a few and out comes the owner. I thought for a sec he was coming to yell at me but he stopped short and proceeded to rip a nother patron a new one. This guy was playing a harmonica real low with a couple of buddies. Owner said stop playing that f*#%^*!¥ thing. Then he accused the guy of smoking pot on the out on the patio. There was about 20 people on the patio and we all sat in disbelief that the owner did this. The owner went back into his office after the butt chewing. Oh by the way the guy wasn't smoke pot. After a few more minutes out comes the owner again. Yells at the guy again and said we are not licened for music out here "really!" Yelled some more and went back to his office. We all finished up our drinks and decided to leave. On the way out I saw the male bartender and said, keep making those good drinks! He told me, f£%€ you a£##£¥+^. WOW! Is all I can say.

This is a great little neighborhood bar. The beer is cold and the mix of interesting locals make it a nice place to relax and visit. Play pool or shuffle board, sit on the patio and watch the cars go by, or just sit at the bar and sip a cold one.

No cocktail menu, bartenders and servers can't even suggest a good drink, simple ones like LIT is awful and the long beach was horrible. I believe some of their staff is very inexperienced. It always smells awful in that place, patio is where it's at so you can actually breathe. The smell is a mixture of stale cigarette smoke, old furniture, and dirty bar.
