I grew up on Andalusia Ave, across the street from Resch's. I used to walk up there and buy doughnuts once upon a time. Hadn't been there in decades but a friend told me the burgers were very good. So we tried it one evening while out. Beer's are cold, burgers and fries and onion rings are good, and the price was a refreshing relief. I'll be back. I miss their doughnuts, or at least in that 8 year old mind of mine from 50 some odd years ago I do. But now I prefer the beer and burger. I'd call the visit a home run. Keep up the good work.

This is a local tavern in the old neighborhood where I grew up. Not many of these type of establishments left in the area. Regulars are there most days and if you're a local, you'll most always run in to someone you know. Resch's serves food from a limited menu at lunch only. Prices are very reasonable and the food is good. Normal tavern fare, soups, chili and numerous sandwiches. Some appetizers available. Our favorite is the hand pattied dressed cheeseburger ($3.95) with a side of fries ($2.00). Fries are hot and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I've also enjoyed the chili and fish sandwich on previous visits Limited draft beer selections plus several bottle beers available. Multiple can soft drinks available. The bartender Mike, also waits tables. This is pretty much a one man show up front and a cook in the back. At lunch they can get pretty busy and tables may be hard to come by. If you get there before noon finding a seat is pretty easy. Nothing fancy, just a local tavern with good food at very reasonable prices and friendly people.
