Ordered Chimichanga FRIED BEEF Dinner online for pickup. When I got home after opening the food containers, I received one chicken and one beef Chimichanga, NOT THE TWO BEEF that I like and always order. So disappointed, but I tried to eat the chicken Chimichanga but it was so dry and stringy that I could not eat. The white queso (I did not get the red sauce) was good but not enough which made the "dry" chicken even worse. Came with chips which were good and salsa, and a separate container of chopped salad and one slice of an under ripe tomato (I added my own dressing) as it came with a small spoonful of sour cream. The meal was $16.99, but my order was incorrect. I did not go back to return as I had already opened all the containers (had to warn up my dinner as it was barely warm...note the chimi was soggy not crispy), but I'm not sure that can be avoided when you get these as a "take out"?? I don't plan to return anytime soon as I want to try some of the other Mexican restaurants in the area to compare. I chose this restaurant as it was very close and convenient.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! SERVICE WAS UNEXISTATE. I work for a local well known winery in area and decide to stop in for dinner & drinks after work. Dinning room was busy so we just ask to sit in bar area so we would not take up a large table. After being seated, we waited for over 10 minutes before we even had anyone ask what we would like to drink. After drinks were made and given to use our oder was taken. The drink I ordered was undrinkable ask someone if they could fix it & they told me to let my waiter know. Then our food arrived. They had seated us at the end of bar so the dishwasher would bring out wet trays of drinkware & setting them down beside me & getting me wet. I decided to just box my food up and take it home to eat. Waited for waiter to come back and check on us. Which he never did. Had to walk up front to get my own box & ask for my own check. WE ARE YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY AND LIVE IN AREA. BUT WITH SERVICE THAT WE RECIEVED TONIGHT, OR I GUESS I SHOULD SSY DID NOT RECEIVE. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING... I WILL ALSO BE LETTING FRIENDS AND FAMILY KNOW OF MY EXPERIENCE.

Any local knows there is no shortage of El Nopal restaurants in the kentuckiana area. That being said, this location is one of the best in my opinion for the food and amount they serve you. I have another location closer to me but drive out of my way to eat at this one.

You wouldn't think that El Nopal restaurants would vary much but they really do! Some are cleaner and have better tasting food and I would classify this location in this category!

Great food and service. Super clean too! My wife likes the frozen margarita. I prefer them on the rocks with salt. We always sit the combo fajitas for two with extra shrimp and have leftovers to boot. This is our favorite place to go at the end of the week to wind down on Friday after work. Muy bueno!

We stopped in here in lunch break and over all the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Service was fast and friendly. The menu tho is a bit overwhelming. There is so much stuff it's somewhat hard to choose. I went with the combo #1 and it wasn't what I was expecting. It was literally a carbon copy of the same combo #1 at the local Azteca restaurant. Tasted and looked exactly the same. So much so that I wonder if it's the same owners. The food is fantastic tho. Chips n salsa were super fresh and crisp. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is there was not really any hot sauce available.

My wife and I recently visited this location for the first time, and, overall, we were quite satisfied. The service is lightning fast--no sooner did we get our order in and take a couple of phone pics for the occasion than our meals were at the table. My wife opted for a Chimichanga, it was hot and flavorful although she noted that the cheese seemed more like American than Queso. To be fair, a follow up visit she made with her friends a few days later was a big improvement, with no complaints. On our visit, I opted for the Speedy Gonzalez, a plate of tacos, simple but fresh, with a nice blend of flavors. This dish could use some spicing up, but I suppose you could throw some of the delicious complimentary salsa on them if you needed to (didn't occur to me at the time). These are soft tacos, and I appreciated the flour tortilla texture of each wrap. The main takeaway from this lunch was the promptness, good price point, and reasonably large portions. Our server was extremely quick, although, just as an observation, he did seem to be rushing us a bit at the end of our lunch, eager to swipe our dishes away. That said, he was on top of his game from start to finish. I would certainly revisit this El Nopal as it is close to our home and is clean, reliable, and a decent bite, especially in an area where non-fast food options are scarce.

The worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Terrible food (not what a normal el nopal would have), TERRIBLE SERVICE! The waiter was super rude. Only got 1 drink. Food came out cold, both times because the first time it wasn't right. 0/10 do not recommend. Go to Georgetown or Corydon.

This location never fails to disappoint. I stopped ordering from this location back in 2020. I've ordered twice in 2022, and now reviewing after second 2022 order botched. The food is below average but the service is the worst. My order is Always wrong and my dumb ass Always tips. Part of the problem is that the food options are almost nonexistent in the knobs, so the couple restaurants that are here feel they can get by with terrible service. My order is always wrong and then I'm treated poorly when I have to drive back to remedy the situation. An hour in total drive time between the initial pick up and back home, then driving back to get the queso I ordered po but did not receive. It's always something w this location. Always. Do yourself a favor and when ordering mediocre mexican food, order from the Georgetown or New Albany locations. At least they are pleasant and get your order correct. From now on, I'll get Mexican food from Clarksville or Louisville. With gas at over 4.35 a gallon, I will not be wasting another cent on over priced, rudely and incorrectly served, poorly executed "mexican" food. I can't give this location enough thumbs down. This is not the first time I have experienced terrible service from El Nopal, but it is the last.
