The rooms are cute just a little dimly lit. Perfect for a romantic weekend. The hotel has great vibes and friendly staff. Plenty of options for drinks and food in the same building as well. The valet service was well worth it. Jeff at valet treated us excellent. The weather turned out last day and he blow the snow off our car before we left. Loved the hotel. Will likely stay again in the future!

This was not a great experience for us! I booked 3 rooms for a small company gathering. My room was the best room the hotel offers so it was not cheap. When we arrived at the advertised check in time of 3pm, we were told our room was not quite ready and it would just be a few minutes. We kindly waited in the lobby. After watching more than a dozen guests check in and 45 minutes pass, I approached the desk and they acted like I was a stranger. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Once in the room it was dated and gross. I understand they are going for an Art Deco Retro Vibe but there were body fluid stains on the couch, a weird wet spot on the rug next to the bed, and something sticky in the garbage can. The tub/shower was the old school kind from grandma's house with a cloth curtain. Not what you would expect in a suite. To top it off, where all the handrails were the caps that cover the screw mounts were just hanging there.
We stay in a lot of hotels so most of this was brushed aside as we tried to make the best of our night. We headed up to Bar Genevieve for a stiff drink. Walked in,saw an open table and sat down. No one approached us for about 10 minutes. When they finally did it was to tell us this table was reserved. Have you ever heard of a bar with reserved tables? They said we could stand at the actual bar but there were no tables. We promptly left and went to Garage Bar where we were greeted, seated and had a great time. We were awoken at 9:15am by housekeeping wanting to clean our room even though checkout was at noon.We could've stayed anywhere but chose this place. Never Again!!!

I booked a one night stay In the suite and I was overall disappointed. I had 7 or 8 fixtures in the bathroom that weren’t connected leaving screws and sharp metal exposed (photo attached) The body wash soap dispenser had no soap in it. They also didn’t provide a menu for room service. Finally, the lighting in the rooms is horrible. It is very dim and hard to see. These are things that shouldn’t be issues when staying in the suite at a four star hotel. Reason I’m giving it a three star review is because the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The valet service is top-notch and the rooms are clean. The location of the hotel is also a big plus.

The hotel is very nice. The bed was comfortable and the finishes in the room were very nice. However, as other reviewers have noted, the room and bathroom were so dark that it truly was difficult to see. I didn’t believe the other reviewers when I was booking my trip, but they are not exaggerating. Most of the staff members we encountered were kind. But the location is not ideal. It is located in a fun, trendy part of downtown, but parking is a nightmare and you need to use the valet. On the day of our departure, we had intended to leave at 5 am and requested our vehicle through the link we were given by the valet. The link noted that our request had been received so we went downstairs to wait. After about 15 minutes of waiting, I became concerned and noticed that the valet’s sign outside noted that they do not open until 7 am. I asked the front desk about it and they informed us that the valet indeed will not be available until 7 am and that there is nothing to be done about it since they are a 3rd party vendor. Due to the valet being a 3rd party vendor, the hotel was unable to help us to get our keys. I was informed that this was noted in the fine print of our reservation, so I am writing this review for those of us (aka everyone) who do not read the fine print of a hotel reservation. I was completely unaware of this and having to sit and wait two extra hours to leave completely derails our travel and has major implications for arrangements we have at home that we needed to make it back for. If you like to get on the road early when traveling, I would not recommend staying at the Hotel Genevieve.

Stayed at this hotel for five days and four nights, and I have to say—it was such a lovely experience! The little details made all the difference. From the stylish linen robes to the daily room refresh with fresh towels, every touch was thoughtful and appreciated.

And can we talk about the water situation? Usually, I’m rationing those tiny bottles hotels leave in the room, but not here! They had an endless supply of water, which was such a game-changer for me.

Another thing that stood out was the hospitality. Every staff member I encountered greeted me warmly—not in that robotic, forced way you sometimes get, but with genuine kindness. It made the whole stay feel even more welcoming.

Lastly, a special shoutout to the team for accommodating me as a traveling nursing mother. Their consideration means so much. If you’re looking for a place that truly takes care of its guests, I highly recommend this hotel!
