I would happily give it 6-stars if I could. I had the privilege of living in Mexico for nearly 3 years. My friends would invite me over and we'd drop into their parents' place with little to no notice. And the Mexican mamas would appear with pure love in their hands for me to try - tacos, enrolladas, quesadillas, sopes, you name it. And my heart would fill up and tide me over my homesickness for a while. Adelita created a similar emotion. Left there with our bellies and our hearts full. If you think you're going to some fancy Mexican restaurant, stay the hell away. You will likely write a condescending review (like one or two have) complaining about train track noise or something else. If, however, you have childhood memories of going to the humble abode of your friend and his/her mom treated you to something made truly with love, this is the place for you. We had totopos (homemade chips) with a trio of dips. Frijoles - divinos, Guacamole - buenisimo, Salsa - sabrosisimo. I had enrolladas. Darn! I can still taste that mole an hour later as I got home to write this review. Rick Bayless might want to try it. My wife had chicken tacos. Light, with beautiful salsas on a tremendously delicious home(restaurant) made tortilla. The girl managing the front office is Adelita's daughter. I asked her if I could meet her mom. Adelita came out and brought my wife and me a lovely goodie each, just as part of inviting me to her place. It was a 100% throwback to my visits to my friends' place in Cd. de Mexico where their mamas would do the same. If I want homey, unpretentious, DELICIOUS food, I would go here WITHOUT HESITATION. Sra. Adelita, mil gracias por todo. Nos encantó la comida y esperamos a regresar pronto. Mientras les deseo todo lo mejor. Buena suerte!!

Adelita is a little hole in the wall with perhaps the best mole sauce I've tried. For good reason, that's the signature component in many of Adelita's dishes. Family-owned, super-friendly, lots of pride, and attention to detail. Adelita is a tiny place, not without its charm, and I believe they're angling to eventually occupy a larger spot. I'm eager to try a couple more dishes here; don't be surprised if I circle around in the future to declare Adelita's a five-star eatery. I'm definitely adding Adelita into my rotation as a preferred Mexican restaurant.

Greeted immediately upon entering. Small place but very clean and friendly! We started with Empanadas which were light and crispy......soooo good! We decided to get one of each, potato, cheese, and chicken and they were so very yummy. I could have gotten more servings of that and been so happy! For my meal I got the Enmoladas and if you're like me and had no idea what they are, think enchiladas, but instead of red or green sauce you get a rich spicy mole' and it was very good! I plan on coming back many times. They are relatively new, but definitely authentic! I just want to try the other dishes too! And our waiter said they do specials on the weekend. Did I mention they have a plantain "banana" split for dessert? Yum!

Great little spot for some flavorful Mexican food. The mole sauce here is worth a trip by itself, and it is the signature component of a couple of dishes. For me, mole can be very hit or miss, but this is chart topper--rich flavor, slightly sweet but not overly so by any means, perfect balance of flavors. I also really enjoy the rice that comes as a side with several dishes--simple dish done well. And definitely try the agua fresca options to wash down your meal or just grab one to go! It's a small space, so while I've not had trouble getting in, I could see it filling up quickly. They do have a quality to-go setup as well. Service is friendly and helpful. It appears to be a true family setup, which I love to see. I look forward to many more visits.

My husband and I got dinner from Adelita again last night, and five stars, two thumbs up and enthusiastic applause all around. This was our first time back after visiting right when they opened a couple of months ago, and we've been dreaming of a return trip ever since that first one. This time around we got to order our food for pick up via DoorDash, which made everything quick and easy. We ended up going with what we got last time. Enmoladas for me. Abuelas Mole for him. And we can report that Adelita is consistent with their well made entrees. That mole!!! Can I just jump into a giant vat of it??? (OK, kidding about that, but only a little.) I can see why it's Adelita's signature. You must get a dish with mole if you come. We were sad to see El Mundo go when it closed on the block, but I think Adelita surpasses El Mundo, which takes a lot for me to say. This is authentic Mexican, as far as I can tell. So lucky we live nearby. This will definitely be a regular for us.

Very busy but we were able to get a table in this small restaurant. Service was friendly & fast, especially for food that is so fresh! It really feels like you are eating in someone's home. We had the emoladas, 3 tacos & gorditas. All delicious! The mole sauce was amazing! Also had the "banana" split, which was great! We will definitely be back!

Another reviewer posted that the mole was better than el Mundo so we had to check it out and we agree. Husband said the mole was one of the best he's had, including in Mexico. Taco trio was excellent. Both sauces were perfectly spicy. We will be back!

Absolutely amazing! We picked up a To-go order. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant looked adorable and cozy especially with the Christmas decorations. The food was absolutely incredible. The chicken tamales were some of the best I've ever had. My husband loved his enmoladas. You can tell everything is homemade here. We will definitely be back.

The Chilpozo was so flavorful and seasoned so perfect! Felt like I was eating in Mexico with the taste of the soup. Would def reorder that. It wasn't spicy at all but def had the flavor. The chips were house made and super crispy. The emoladas were on the sweeter side but good! And the tostadas were great the lettuce and cabbage were so fresh and crunchy. 10/10 for the freshness of the vegetables because they weren't soggy in the least bit.
