This place is horrible. I'm a preferred member and have to wait in an hour long line every time I come here. Never again!!! I'm done with this place!

AVOID AT ALL COST! This Avis location provided the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The store was closed in the middle of the day during business hours when I was supposed to pick up my rental. The clerk returned 2 HOURS later and was very rude to me. The store was very dirty, smelled like cigarettes, and she had her children with her behind the counter. To make matters worse, the rental was dirty with trash littered throughout and it had stains on the seats. I don't understand how AVIS allows such low standards for their locations.

Dropped off by an Uber to pick up an Uber Driver vehicle. Vehicle had been reserved through the Uber Driver app and PreCheck done through their site. Upon exiting the vehicle, a demonic woman/worker named Michelle, immediately began aggressively shouting at me that "I ain't got no cars." Her aggression and volatility was highly concerning. I remained calm and asked politely if she knew why Uber would allow me to reserve a vehicle and drop me off on site if they did not have any vehicles? Michelle angrily lashed out while beginning to walk away that she didn't know. I then asked if she knew if there was another Avis that I could pick up a vehicle at and she continued to try to get away from me while snapping back in a hostile fashion something about Lexington. Having been in management and in the service industry for some time, I advised her that she had no business speaking to anyone the way she was, that she was very rude, and asked for her name. She provided it while boasting that it was only her and a person named Joe and that they were a franchise, that there was no 1-800 number that I could call. I asked if Joe was present or had a phone number as her aggression apexed and she then stated the store number was Joe's number and proceeded to threaten to call the police on me for trying to pick up a rental and hold her accountable for her volatile conduct. Those that are demonically possessed absolutely hate the truth and accountability, but this person was demonstrating vicious conduct that bordered on dangerous without cause. She then stormed inside the building and I decided that I would just cancel the reservation. I stepped inside and meekly asked her how I could cancel the reservation and she yelled and charged past me that she was calling the cops. I never raised my tone of voice, I never presented any threat, I only wanted to pick up my vehicle and/or to get the pertinent information needed to make a decision from there. I quickly left the property and had to walk down a busy road, sit on the side of it, to wait for my wife to pick me up. I felt that this was not only demonic, but likely racial as the completely unfounded deep-seated hatred, aggression, volatility and murderous rage had no root in what was actually occuring before her. I forgive her, but advise any and every Uber Driver, to stay as far clear from this place as possible until she is terminated. I have contacted Avis, Uber Driver Support, will involve all pertinent online review sites/services and am likely to file a non-emergency police report to document the instability and volatility of this individual.

NEVER USE AVIS!!!! We went to get our car that we NEED to get to my daughter (not with us) to college and they didn't have it!! We had the reservation for months!!! They tell us they have another car somewhere else they are holding so we go, before we get there they gave someone else the car!!! We are stranded and don't know how we will get to college now!!!! . We were only trying to figure out why they didn't have our car and they totally didn't care. Mellisa is the employee who was the rudest, she rolled her eyes and dropped a few cuss words infront of my little children who then started crying after she raised her voice

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! (Crittenden Drive) This place is severely mismanaged. I reserved an SUV months in advance for an anniversary trip. When we walked in the door, we were immediately greeted with, "We don't have ANY cars!" I thought the young lady was joking, but she was not. Everyone else who walked in was told the same thing. I let her know that we had reserved months ago, but she said there were no cars and to try another Avis location. We were supposed to leave for vacation THAT EVENING, so this was very upsetting. After more discussion, my husband got her to dig deeper to find a vehicle we could use. The young lady looked at various vehicles (the lot was full of cars, but according to her, they either hadn't been serviced or were just unusable). He finally got her to offer us a Ford Expedition which she said would be an additional charge. I calmly asked her why and told her there shouldn't be since they were out of cars. We finally got the car at the price we originally reserved. The car was dirty, smelled of smoke, and there was trash left in it from the previous rental customer. She had offered the same vehicle to another couple in the same situation and told them it would cost extra, but they had refused. They were frantically calling other Avis locations looking for a vehicle. Another couple came in and complained that the 15-passenger van they had rented had no air, but they were also told there were no other options available. The rep eventually offered them a small car which they couldn't use because they needed room for a lot of passengers. They were very upset. When we returned the vehicle a week later, the [manager or owner?] was behind the counter on her cell phone. She completely ignored us for several minutes and seemed to be in some kind of mood. She didn't acknowledge us at all until a couple of other customers came in. Her customer service skills were VERY poor. Before processing our return, she rudely told another customer who was there before us that they didn't have anything else, but he could go out there and clean out a car himself if he wanted. WOW! After talking to this customer outside as we were leaving, we found out he also had rented in advance, but was told they didn't have any cars. He said she was being very rude. Stay FAR AWAY from this place! TOTAL CHAOS!

I wish I could give this a negative 10 stars these ppl suck.0 customer service was double charged twice 2 weeks in a row and then told I haven't paid them in a month. On top of all that I was getting charged $95 dollars on top of what I owed. I will never deal with Avis ever in life period point plank. Btw after wrecking my bank account I turned in the vehicle only to get $800 back mysteriously from nowhere after I sent cooperate a pic of the first time I was double charged of their own computer screen saying I was in the clear. Hmmm

Zero issues. The customer service people that check your car back into their lot are always super nice. I appreciate that because...who isn't in a hurry when they are returning a car?!?!?!? Always pleasant service, clean nice cars. This is my go to place to rent cars, not only Avis in general, just especially this Avis. 65 (to 265) Toll Bridge Toll bridge fees...they don't even deal with transponders here. They just bill you with their handling fee and move on. I have had alllll kinds of vehicles from this location. Mostly Volvo SUV's because of the car class I pick but even our full size car selection turned into a 3K mile Rogue that was super clean. Clean cars, no bullshit. Just use Avis.

I think some of the reviews are confusing this location with the SDF airport location. 4330 Crittenden is a standalone Avis. The staff here had their act together; contract printed and ready when I arrived, car pulled up next to the building, etc. I was in and out. That about does it for me.

5 days before Spring Break, called to confirm our van reservation and the size of van is wrong. No offer to even try to fix it. Very sad.
