Back again for the Big Four Arts Festival and this year its $5 entry fee supported Bridgehaven mental services. With patience you could find parking only a short walk from the entrance. Kids 12 yr old and younger were free. The event offered several vendors and I continued to appreciate the variety. There were several artists I've only seen here and I also loved that some were quirky (my personal style). Several food trucks lined the back row. Again, fantastic variety. Shaded tables were nearby and other folks sat on the waterfront ledges to watch the water and passing boats. Half of the area was shaded by trees - the downfall was the trees dropped seeds into our hair and clothes. The other area didn't sprinkle on us but was completely exposed to the sun. Those vendor booths were definitely toastier inside while shopping. This was a dog friendly event and several attended. Operating a stroller didn't appear to be an issue for families. Bands played and were not overwhelming. This year both days of the festival were beautiful. It was worth the visit and I look forward to future years.

2025- This was the exact same concept as the Cherokee triangle art fair. I was so disappointed in the removal Of the live artist with chalk art. It WAS the highlight of the fair and was so cool to watch. THE shift is disappointing to say the least. I don't mind the cover charge, I would have paid even more if the artist were there actually drawing

A lovely day outside on the Waterfront. The atmosphere is chill even though there is a lot of activity, a bluegrass band, a multitude of food trucks, a good crowd (families, young couples, girlfriend groups, and older couples) and dogs. Vendors selling everything art, paintings, jewelry, scluptures, coffee cakes, glass pieces, wood art. It goes on and on. Street and lot parking. Be patient with possibly a short walk.

This is a really cool arts festival that my friend invited me to go to! It's similar to the St James Art Fair, but less pricey, according to my friend. Lots of really cool vendors here! They sell paintings, jewelry, clothes, decor, etc. You can definitely do your early Christmas shopping here. There was a little petting zoo area and you could feed the cow, goats, alpacas, and chickens. Get here early though! My friends and I got here around 10:30 and found parallel parking with no trouble. I left around noon, but I can't imagine coming later. You'd end up parking far away! I saw lots of families, women, moms with their daughters, etc. They've got food trucks in case you get hungry! I'm not sure how well-known this event is. It's a newer one to add to your list of things to do in the city. It's also free! You can give a $5 donation if you want! It's cool to see events like this in Louisville! You see all kinds of people here too. We really aren't your typical city. Lots of hipsters here, eccentric grandparents, tattoos, and hippie clothes. I love the vibe at this event!

Cool arts festival with lots of creative vendors. It's in a perfect location by the Big Four Bridge so it was nice to get in some walking exercise then browse around at the art festival. There were a lot of food trucks available and a kids entertainment tent. It was $5 to get in and there was free parking nearby. And I bought me some new earrings!

This was my first year visiting the Big Four Arts Festival, and it was a pretty fun event down by the Big Four Bridge! This festival consists of a bunch of local artists who are showcasing and selling their art. You can find artists of so many different genres, all the way from wood carvers to classic painters. Even if you don't have the money to spend on art, it's still fun to explore the creative minds of these individuals by checking out their displays! They had some great food their too, including The Blue Crab, El Mambo and Lil' Cheezers. Nothing But Bundts was also there selling delicious Bundtlets! It's a fun, free event. No other reasons needed to go check it out!

This was my first time! I loved it. So many unique and fun things to browse through. I am absolutely amazed at how creative and talented some people are. A highlight for me was the petting zoo with Foggy Bottom Farm.

For folks looking to find some art that is unique, unusual, or more traditional, this is a fun festival. The location is second to none, right on the water, adjacent to the Big Four bridge, you can drive, bike, hike or paddle to get here. There is lots of parking in the park and alongside the roadway. And you can always walk from the Indiana side. There are food trucks for something to eat/drink, a tent to sit and relax while shopping/looking around. Dogs are allowed and there are activities for the kids - including farm animals. There are barricades on River Road as they try to herd everyone through one entrance for donations; a $5 donation was recommended. Of course anyone can enter or exit on the Ohio River side anytime. It is not the best organized festival, but the art is really good, and the location can't be beat.

A nice, new addition to the Louisville festival scene, the Big Four Arts Festival is in its second year. It's location by the walking bridge and on the river makes it a standout. It's not up to the quality of some of the longer running festivals yet but I think that in time, it'll get there. This year I found two pairs of earrings and some soap my boyfriend had been looking for since the festival he'd found some previously. Last year it was a unique rock candle. Next year, perhaps we'll find even more.
