We love to stop here at least once a week to look through the ever changing selection of stuff and have a drink, but the absolutely star of the show is Mr. Luis. 10/10 would have allergy problems for him again. Drinks are so reasonable, nothing over $5 that I've found and a good selection of beer. Owner and bartenders are so friendly and helpful. Don't miss this place!

The selection at Birdie & Vi's was absolutely fantastic! The service was friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere. The value is excellent, and their collection of antiques is top-notch. We even got to meet the kitty (Mr. Louis), which was a nice touch. Plus, they have a bar--what more could you ask for?

While near Old Lou my husband and youngest son made a stop at Birdie & Vi's. For reference it is across the street from Old Louisville Brewery. This spot is an excellent collection of antique and vintage items, big and small. Prices are clearly marked - including several items in their bathroom! While there you can enjoy a canned or bottled drink of beer, soda or water. They offer outdoor seating in their enclosed patio but also outside their building too. We hung out and spoke to a young lady taking care of the store, and learned about the owners. Warning that Birdie & Vi's is not air conditioned. Whew! That was tough on a heat advisory day and kept us from lingering longer, but we'll be back. Easy to find street parking.

Birdie and Vi's is located in the Old Historic District of Louisville across from the Old Louisville Brewery on Magnolia street. This store contains a mix of antiques and vintage items representing a trip back in time. Items are well marked and distributed throughout the store. There is even an eclectic backyard full of items for sale. This place also offers beers, soda and water for consumption. Be sure to say hello to Mr. Luis, a large black cat that lounges on the bar. Too bad he wasn't for sale.

Birdie and Vi's is just the type of eclectic and interesting place I enjoy meandering through. The rehabilitated space has so much charm and the vintage treasures had me strolling down memory lane! . And get this, you can enjoy a beer while you browse! Mr. Luis, the beautiful black shop cat, greeted us the moment we entered. Within minutes he had laid down on the bar and had his head on my arm! The atmosphere was unhurried and friendly, which great because the space is chock full of items, big and small (even the bathroom!). There is a charming outdoor space with plenty of seating and an umbrella table. Streetside parking is plentiful. I highly recommend spending some time at Birdie and Vi's.

How have I not reviewed Birdie & Vi's yet? This is one of my favorite spots in Old Louisville (possibly Louisville in general). It's got all the major hits: historical charm, vintage treasures, relaxing atmosphere, friendly owners, and well... beer! Birdie & Vi's won me over the first time I stepped foot inside. Long story short, I'd been on the hunt for this specific type of Levi's and figured I'd check out their clothes rack just in case. (Hopes were low, I'd been disappointed before and there was only one rack in the shop.) But ya'll... THERE THEY WERE! Exact type, wash, and size I was looking for. Plus, they were reasonably priced! Like $20, if I remember correctly. On top of all that, we got to chatting with Tracey and had the best time learning about the place over a beer. Honestly that's what brings us back time after time - we love talking with Tracey and seeing what new treasures are inside Birdie & Vi's! Another great part about this place is the shop cat, Mr. Luis. He basically runs the place and he'll happily receive scritches and sit on your lap if you let him. Seriously, you don't want to miss this place.

I absolutely love this place. The owners are just as sweet as can be, and the idea of drinking and antique shopping is just a dream. I visited on my birthday and the owners took me and my friends on a history tour of the bar! I love that they revamped a historical home into something so creative.
