This is our second stay in this hotel. We paid extra this time for a corner room to celebrate my birthday. I love the atmosphere. The hotel is mostly quiet. We had some louder upstairs neighbors today. It's very clean. The room was so spacious with my amenities. Security is top notch. A keycard is required just to enter the parking lot and to enter the lobby. And then again to get to the guest floors on the elevator. Definitely feels safe. The downfalls- I so wish this room had a bathtub! The shower is lovely. I just live to soak in a tub They did have a pool as a replacement, but it closes at 10PM each day, and we never got back earlier enough to enjoy that. It did appear open though!

Not what I was expecting. Check in was easy and front desk was very helpful and courteous. Treated us like VIP. location was perfect for what we needed - we had our own car so driving to Nulu or thru the Bourbon trail was easy. Tip-Ask the front desk for maps of Nulu and Louisville The onsite coffee place closes early but there is a breakfast spot across the street with great selections for breakfast or lunch Since we had a vehicle I was concerned about previous reviews. The parking spaces are tight but coming from Chicago we had no issues getting in and out. Secured Garage is conveniently attached to the building and right near the elevator so access was really easy and convenient. Just need key card to enter and exit. Tip: don't return key when checking out, you will need it to exit the parking lot. Hotel was clean and comfortable. We made use of the in room refrigerator and microwave. Bathroom was spacious and the bath towels were extra large- and not scratchy!! This might not mean much to others but for me, it was a a nice surprise. Housekeeping is on request and we used it one time in the middle of our stay. For the price I was impressed with the service, amenities and location.

We chose the Cambria Hotel because it was in a good location downtown (right across the street from Wild Eggs), had nice rooms (although of course there were smoke detectors that flashed during the night), and amenities such as a mini fridge in the room and laundry facilities, which I needed as I was out of town for two weeks. It wasn't the most expensive hotel, but it wasn't cheap either, and a nine day stay (July 24 to Aug 2) was just over $2,000 CAD (the average was $193.19 a night plus taxes). There was a restaurant in the hotel and I really enjoyed their breakfasts, which were surprisingly reasonably priced (omelettes for $12, avocado toast for $10), as well as delicious, and the dinner options were decent too if you wanted a casual bite to eat (their mini flatbreads were quite tasty) and a glass of wine (I spent many a night there, relaxing with a glass or two of wine!). Overall a lovely hotel that's worth at least four stars, so why the one star rating? On our fifth night, Friday July 28, I was downstairs in the hotel restaurant, having some wine and catching up on Yelp reviews, when my sister, who was in the room trying to relax, texted me about a party going on in the next room and asked me to speak to the hotel staff. We were in room 410, and the people in room 411, who had checked in that day, were having an extremely loud party with dozens of people constantly coming and going, blasting music, yelling, and a woman shrieking with laughter. I told the hotel staff, and their response was, "We can't do anything about it; room 411 is a designated party room. People are allowed to have parties in there." We were PISSED. How dare they book us right beside a fucking PARTY ROOM?! Since the hotel staff refused to tell the partiers to STFU, we demanded that we change rooms, even though it was extremely inconvenient to have to pack up everything on an evening where we just wanted to relax. We moved to room 602, and while we weren't beside a "party room", I could still hear faint noise from other rooms the next couple of nights. I was on edge and not able to fully relax for the remainder of my stay. Anyway, it turned out that room 411 was NOT a designated "party room". As the new staff explained the next day, it was simply a larger suite, but it was absolutely not a party room, and the occupants had been kicked out even though they had a second night booked. There had been numerous complaints (we were not the only ones -- basically everyone on the fourth floor, and likely some on adjoining floors, had complained) and they had also set off the fire alarm from smoking cigarettes/pot in the room (which we could smell in the hallway). The hotel staff were actually pretty pissed. Now, I wouldn't be as nearly annoyed if the hotel staff that night had taken our complaints seriously and said he would look into it. Instead, he LIED to us about it being a "party room". THAT'S what really pissed me off. Also, we weren't given any compensation, not even a free meal at the restaurant. So even though they ended up kicking out the partiers, they did not offer any compensation, and the first staff I spoke to flat out LIED. So for those reasons, one star. Such a shame because otherwise it was a lovely hotel, but after that experience, I will book elsewhere next time I am in Louisville. Great hotel for our stay! We came into town for a quick girls weekend and didn't really have big plans. We loved that this hotel was close to all the big attractions in Louisville and had restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is very clean and modern. There were many things I really liked about this hotel: - comfy beds - nice long couch by the big window where you could chill - full closet area - microwave and mini fridge so I could bring home leftovers - water bottle filling stations and ice makers - friendly staff - easy to use and safe feeling parking garage The one thing I didn't love that is important to me - privacy. No fan in the bathroom and you could hear a person BREATHING in there... not ideal at all. In addition we could hear people in other rooms having *a very good time*. Overall I'd recommend a stay here, especially if you had a room to your self or were sharing with a spouse. PS. I did not know pay for this hotel so I'm not sure how fair pricing was. My friend booked through her timeshare program.

I was very pleased with my choice for this hotel. Close proximity to festival, bars, restaurants and a very tourist spots. Nice, welcoming lobby as well. I will say it is a little chilly throughout the building but does ensure the summer heat doesn't reach inside. Two onsite restaurants, which includes a bar. The loaded fries from Magnum Moon Hayloft Bar and Grill, will not disappoint. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bed was super comfortable. On site parking was easy and is $18/day. Located in a very lively and walkable area. Prices were great as well.

Let's start with the parking. (There is none) it's the smallest parking garage I've even seen for a hotel. Also there should be no charge for it. It's always full and I believe it's the employees vehicles. Now let's move on to the actual hotel. ( I honestly believe it was a holiday inn at heart) you had to call and request room service. And I didn't trust the sheets, I honestly wish we had stayed somewhere else. Also no bottled water inside the room, however there is a coffee maker. I was told to use the tap water from the sink if I didn't want to purchase bottled water. (I gagged) definitely needs better service & housekeeping.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Reserved a king room and called to request a higher floor which was given to me at check in. Check in was a breeze and everyone who works at the front desk is super efficient and friendly! My room was perfect, clean, cozy, frig and micro. Nice comfortable bed. The location is perfect with Wild Eggs across the way for breakfast and Stevie rays around the corner for music. All the sights and downtown is walkable. The girl working the bar/restaurant was very nice and helpful. The menu options were limited and for me, didn't offer many choices. Thus the four stars The coffee shop downstairs had a better selection and THE BEST barista in town! You must go see him . I found out the employees are really vested in making the Cambria chain succeed . They travel to different Cambria to see what they're doing different and how they can improve. They even visit the local places at the different towns to see what's unique that they can bring to another area It's a great business model I was super glad to support.. Oh and they have a fantastic indoor pool!!

Parking is an issue and becomes other issues. I checked in with front desk to register my car and identify it as belonging to a hotel guest. Out of state tags... I'm sleeping. Nearly 11p and a front desk calls for me to move my car. Make and model are correct, except it has KY tags. ... a mistake. I am again sleeping and phone rings @ 7:54a. Again the front desk wants me to move my car (whose plates did not magically change in the middle of the night). Parking is tight, but front desk is willing to interrupt my sleep multiple times for their lack of looking at their own lists and not communicating with each other. Management invading sleep of guests is not a good hospitality model.

3.5 stars, but it had some annoyances: It is a bit hard to locate where to check in with this hotel, since the parking lot is a bit hidden. You then have to buzz in on the ground floor, next to the parking garage, in order to enter the building, and then go up to the second floor. This was late at night, so it might be accessible earlier on, but I am not sure either way. (At one point, one of the two elevators smelled strongly of weed...ew.) There might be added security because of a sizeable population of panhandlers. The area in general feels a bit like a ghost down in the sense that it's a few blocks away from downtown. Everything feels a bit far apart here, and there isn't much of a sense of urban density. So this hotel is on a block near some abandoned lots, each of which have a block with maybe one building. The suite we booked was about $100 and huge, so we were happy. We had a lot of room to spread out and each have a separate, closed off work space. There were two rooms and there was a TV in each room! There is no streaming service like Netflix, which is a bonus and not "must have," but it's something they could do if they want to keep up with comparable hotel brands. The bed was pretty comfortable, with the pillows being a bit thin but not terrible. At times, in the bedroom, you could hear a faint humming during the day. It wasn't from the HVAC system; we checked. This was kind of annoying, but it also wasn't that loud, so you might not be bothered by it at all. FYI there is nowhere onsite to have lunch. Their restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. Their mini mart of sorts has quick options, but we're talking Lean Cuisine. I didn't get much time off for lunch during my work day, and I didn't feel like charging a Lean Cuisine to the room (there was one sad option left), so I went without. I survived, of course, but it was annoying to not have an option. The bathroom is OK. It looks very nice and has tons of room! But the shower is a disaster. It is clean and modern, which is good. But its functionality is bad. The shampoo and conditioner smell fake and cheap, and the conditioner barely detangles. One of the sliding shower doors is extremely loud and squeaky. Worst of all, the shower has some of the worst water pressure I've ever had in a hotel. It felt like my hair still had conditioner in it, no matter how long I stayed under the tiny piddling stream. (You can adjust the shower head settings, but even with more water pressure, the stream then becomes smaller in scope, so it's a trade off.)
