You can get a decent fish /cheese sandwich with fries and a drink for around $14.00. The meal includes 2 pieces of fish, fries, extra very small slaw usually dry, no bread or cheese for $17.00 I think. Always ask for seniors discount. Stay away from Slots as your cost will greatly increase.

This is solely a review of the hotel portion. We booked through credit card points and were able to get a fairly priced 2 queen bed room. The amenities are nice and there are complimentary water bottles in the fridge and coffee en suite. There unfortunately is not complimentary breakfast, but there is a la cart paid food as well as a 24/7 convenience kiosk. The parking lot is well lit, spacious, and there are plenty of security cameras and the occasional patrolling security/police officers (it is a casino after all). We had a lot of luggage in the car but felt fairly safe keeping it parked overnight. If you're passing through and looking for an option that won't break the bank and offers good peace of mind for safety, I recommend stopping here.

This is a casino with no table games and 100s of the same exact type of machine. No novelty at all. No lightening link, no dragon link. There is fire link but that's about the only mainstream game you'll find here. Soda machines present which are nice, but the gaming itself is not great. Atmosphere is Ok since there is a separate smoking section. Go to Caesar's in Indiana for a better experience.

Stopped by DCG for the first time after many recommendations from gaming friends. I was motivated to visit in hopes of using the new member bonus perks. While signing up for a players card, I was informed that the DCG is part of Churchill Downs, Inc. From the previous week, I had visited Turfway Gaming and found out that it was also part of Churchill Downs, Inc. Unfortunately, I did not qualify for any new member perks and Turfway's incentives were not transferable to DCG. Aside from that disappointing news, I was able to tour the facility. It was bright, clean, and offered a variety of gaming options. The employees were nice and knowledgeable. HHR Slots are offered in KY with no option to play table games.

Tight machines, no table games, employees aren't friendly, machines don't take dollar bills, non smoking, same machines thru out whole place, pay outs sucks, ( if & when u get a bonus ) GO TO CEASARS!! MUCH MORE FUN!!!

Stayed here for a weekend for an event in the city and overall liked my experience. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The front desk employees were very nice and friendly and accommodating. One thing I will say is that the walls are VERY thin lol I def wouldn't want to be next to a room with loud neighbors. The gaming floor is decently sized, no tables just slots. It can get very busy on weekends especially with events or drawings. The bar is a plus and added to the experience.

I have now visited the downtown location as well as Poplar Level. I just spent a night this past week at the hotel at the Poplar Level location. The hotel is really, really nice. It's new and gorgeous. Decor is spot on and if you love horses/horse racing you will love it even more. One of the nicest casino rooms I have stayed at in the Midwest. A couple of hotel comments which irritated me during the stay: the wall unit temperature control is monitored and you don't have full control. It would not allow me to make the room cooler then 70 degrees. I called down to the from desk twice and both times they said "we will have someone adjust/look at it for you (remotely...not having to come into the room)." Problem was never fixed and it was stuffy in there and not to my liking. Also, if you go down to gamble in the morning your room key automatically shuts off at 11 a.m. You will not be allowed to enter the elevator and go back up to your room at 11:01 a.m. on check out day. Imagine losing hundreds of dollars and then not being able to go back up. This was annoying to several guests as we had to go to the front desk to request another key or whatever. The casino at Poplar Level: new and nice...but...lame. Zero table games. All slot machines are a little older or not the best version out there. For instance, "Huff and More Puff" was the only version on the floor. Anyone who gambles knows this is THE hottest game right now and has like 5 versions that are better then this one. Also, if you like video poker...this is not your place. They have a total of 4 (four????) single line poker machines in one area. Two are .25 cent denom and the other two are $1 denom. BORING. I really like the hotel but I'm not traveling back from out of state with this selection of gaming. Slots were super tight. I didn't see one hand pay taking place in the 6 plus hours I was there. This review rating does not take this in to factor, but, something to note. Downtown location is small but seemed more fun when I visited for a few hours.

The hotel/guest room was beautiful! Stayed overnight on our way to FL from MI. Pretty sure it's the nicest hotel room we've ever been in. Clean, very modern and comfortable! And a nicer Keurig machine, not the usual cheap ones you find in most hotel rooms. Even the hand soap in the shower dispenser was nice! I have already booked here for our return trip home. We didn't gamble, although we normally do. Grabbed a bite to eat at Lil Wagner's.....I would recommend finding a restaurant off-site before spending money/ordering from there.

Hotel is very nice. New, large rooms, tastefully decorated. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again! Very close to a number of area attractions. we did the Cavern tour and had a great time. Olivers Chop House is probably one of the top restaurants in the city. Everything from the menu and staff to the food and ambiance was on point. Plan to make this trip again!

This is now my FAVORITE hotel! It was clean! It smelled good! It was in a good location that allowed for easy travel to nearby attractions. The staff were great! I was even able to catch the horses running next door!
