This isn't my usual location, but when the Enterprise I normally use inexplicably transferred me here - and at the time I was scheduled to be picked up, it threw me for something of an unhappy loop. For one, I was on a semi-tight schedule since I was heading out of town, so the lack of communication on the part of the Hurstbourne location didn't make me happy. Especially as I had called to tell them I was actually running early, they could come on ahead, and they said THEY were on the way. Less than 2 minutes later, I receive a call from the Ten Pin location asking if I was ready and verifying my pickup location. Surprised, I told them I'd just spoken to Hurstbourne and they supposedly also had a driver who was "on the way." I told Ten Pin to come ahead, called Hurstbourne back, explained I was not happy with not so much the transfer but NOT BEING INFORMED WHEN I CALLED. I received an apology. That was that. I've used the Ten Pin location on one other occasion. The driver - who is an associate in training - also apologized; he only knew all the paperwork had been transferred to them because they're "closer." (The adage of six of one, half dozen of another comes to mind). The associate was polite and efficient in getting me to their office. The vehicle he used for pickup was going to be mine for the next two-days, so he completed my check-in IN THE CAR (since they used tablets), we did the walk-around to look for and document any damages over 6", he went inside to get my documentation off the printer. That's it. I didn't need to go inside at all, and was on the road 10 minutes before I planned. The car itself - a Hyundai Elantra ran beautifully with no complaints. I returned the car on this date. Despite there being only 2 associates and two customers ahead of me, I received a speedy check-in, and their driver dropped a gentleman at a nearby repair facility, and then I was taken home. The driver was also friendly. So I may start using Ten Pin on a regular basis when I do a neighborhood rental. A lot of wasted time could have been saved had Hurstbourne said in advance - during the 2 times I called them to verify things - "oh, we're going to transfer you to Ten Pin as it may be more convenient for you." I would have been fine. You don't change things last minute without warning and have nothing to add but an "oops." Other than that, it was a good rental.

I have been renting cars more frequently due to work, and I must say this is the one of the better Enterprise locations that I have visited. I picked up my car around noon on a Saturday. There were a total of seven customers waiting in line with only one employee visible. When I reached the counter, Max explained that he was the only employee in the building as his coworker was picking up a customer in the field. I was surprised that there only two employees scheduled for a Saturday. Max provided excellent customer service and was clearly doing all he could do in order to cut down the lengthy wait time in line. He was polite and friendly while staying very efficient and time conscious. Since I am still fairly new to the rental car process, he clarified any questions I had. He even pointed out the USB port when I could not figure out where to charge my phone. I think he could tell I was still a bit nervous, so he offered his business card in case I ran into any issues.

*This is only for the Enterprise on Ten Pin Ln. in the St. Matthews area.* We usually don't use Enterprise for a holiday trip, which was out of the ordinary, but someone had already booked a reservation for us. What we didn't foresee was the terrible experience we would have - not with the car or even the rate itself, but with the service upon picking it up. Our rental was months ago, but I felt the need to warn others. "Enterprise, the supplier" was decent. The rate was a good one. The vehicle itself was excellent. They upgraded because they did not have the class that we had reserved. Now, we usually rent with our debit card at the other company, and they take a deposit. Here, they do that, but also look at your recent bills and statements. Pretty anal, but ok. It was evident that "Enterprise, the location" was far different. A young, super-energetic man waved us to his counter, and did all the anal credit checks. In used-car salesmanesque fashion, he proceeded to attempt ripping us off. Now, I worked for AAA for a decade, where we did car rentals all the time. He began fibbing about needing extra insurance (we have full-coverage), and when I didn't take the bait, he attempted scaring us into buying it with these cheesy "what-if" scenarios. It was jaw-dropping. Next, he tried to weasel a road service add-on into the deal. When I told him I had AAA, he told us, "I don't think they do lockouts." I told him they do, and he hemmed and hawed before I said I worked there. I know they do. Next, he said that if we brought the car back on Sat by a certain time (can't remember it), he would be there "closing up" to take the key and not charge for Sunday. When we got in on Sat. from our 10 hour trip, he wasn't there. We dropped the key in their night box. In all fairness, they didn't charge for Sunday. Shady service.

They arrived on time to get me and then to take me home. Very pleasant and courteous. In order to pay using my Visa, I had to jump many hoops, provide references, put down a $199 deposit, everything I thought that having a 780 credit score would cover me from having to do having proved myself to creditors. I was told it was because my card was a M/C and said "Debit" on it. But it is a credit union card and should be run as credit. I never before had a problem with it. When I returned the car, they refunded the $199 deposit with no problem. But having to go through so much just to get the car was something I will think twice about before using Enterprise again.

Long time Enterprise member, recently reserved a full size sedan for an in-state business trip. I was dropped off by a coworker, who I asked to stay until I was sure we were confirmed. The Enterprise sales person asked if I wanted to upgrade to a small SUV, I very clearly said "No thank you, I am doing a lot of highway driving and I would prefer a sedan." He says, "Ok." Then he asks me to come out to the parking lot so I can "pick which model you like." I do, and tell my ride she can go back to work. He sees her pull away and then he walks me to two small SUV's (Different models) and asks me which one I want. I remind him I reserved a sedan, and had already told him I did not want a small SUV. He then asks if I would take the next sedan level up, because they don't actually have my sedan level. I said sure, then he says that will be a $22 a day increase. I tell him I am not comfortable paying for an increase when they have "failed" to keep my reservation. He then tells me I can "wait," while he tries to arrange for a car to be delivered from another location. I ask him, how long will that be, he says "However, long it takes them." That is when I called my coworker and asked her to pick me up. Not into bait-and-switch tactics. Enterprise--You have lost a member.

I'm the idiot, not them. I'm the idiot for continuing to give my business to this poor excuse for a rental car place. You know the part where they take the reservation? Yeah, that part. They're pretty good at that part, but that's kind of the easy part. You know the part of their job where they rent you the car that you've reserved? They're not so good at that part. Three different times, I've gone in there to pick up my reserved rental and three different times they don't have any cars on the lot to fulfill my reservation. You'd think that they'd call and let me know that they're running behind, but let's face it, it's a LOT easier for them to wait for me to take extra time out of my day and visit them so that they can tell me face to face that they don't have my rental. Once they said they were sorry, once they said it wasn't their fault and once they said nothing and avoided eye contact. Just a heads up!

Terrible customer service. We were given a car from enterprise by our local Ford dealer due to the fact that our vehicle was not working and it was covered under warranty. We did not ask to rent the car from enterprise. We were told that we would pay nothing that the dealership would take care of everything for us. Received a phone call from a gentleman (on my cell phone) looking for my husband and stated that we owed them $18.99 a day for 2 days for insurance coverage. I told him that we would not be paying anything for the car. He them told me that my husband initialed and requested the insurance (I know my husband and I know that he did not ask nor would he want the insurance, we have car insurance) I told him to get in touch with my husband. I them called back and spoke to Maria. I assure you I have more college education than Maria and did not need her to explain to me how the rental process worked. She then told me that my husband drove the car 40 miles. Impossible we live 5 miles from the dealership and the next day it snowed and he brought me to work and he had my car the entire next day and the dealership called and we picked his truck up at around 5. We barely had the car for 24 hours and it sat in our driveway for 23.5 hours. This dealership is pathetic. The company I work for uses enterprise a lot for our car rentals. Luckily the boss likes me, we will be switching :)
