One of my absolute favorites. No restroom complaints (big plus). Very spacious. Plenty of seating- outside, too! Security very nice and attentive. Justin especially rocks. Way back I wrote a letter to my favorite band playing that night and asked that he give it to them. Fast forward a few years later and I work with this band and we're friends! Can't wait to go back. I've enjoyed every experience I have had here.

Had a good time at the Expo 5. I have been going to the flee market for years but this was the first time i went there for an event. They had full bar but when i ordered a beer they poured it in a small cup and i didn't get the full beer. They wont give you a bottle. So i had to switch to can beer. Boxing matches were great. I do think if you reserve a table for $150 then they should have servers for the VIP section. They only except cash so had to use the ATM. At the end of the night, they shut down the bathrooms so you couldn't go to the restroom before leaving. Security was on point. Family friendly but keep in mind there maybe people using language that you might not want children to hear. I met many people. Everyone there was very friendly. They need to turn off that fan that is right above the center of the ring because there is light above the fan which makes it look like there is a strobe light going off constantly. I would go back for another event.

So far, I've been to this venue three times and plan to go to several more shows here. It's very large so it holds a ton of people. I always seem to comment on the bathroom situation at music venues so here it goes. There's a lot! There's a regular women and men restroom and they also have about 10 more out in the area between rooms and they all are new and have their own doors. There's also additional sinks in that area for the people who use those restrooms. There's good priced drinks and though I've never tried the food, there seems to be a good selection of food including pizza. They're not always open though. Security is ample and pretty cool. There's also a nice area outside which I stood at a lot at the last concert I went to. The weather was too perfect not to. There's a bar outside as well as seating in several places out there.

Ok, so most of the shows I go to in Louisville are held at expo 5 and promoted by Terry Harper. There are some good things and some bad things about expo 5. The pros: * A significantly larger amount of room compared to majority of the venues in Louisville. * Rest rooms and port-a-pottys for easy bathroom access. * A pool table for when the sucky bands are playing and you don't want to listen to them. The cons: *An odd stench. * Some of the staff is very rude. * It's not very clean. Ever. * Over priced drinks food and drinks ($2 for a bottle of water and over priced pizza) * Drugs are often used on the property but no one does anything about it. In conclusion, expo 5 is ok for shows every once in a while, but it's not a place you'd want to hang out at every day.

Maybe it was the incredible stench, or the bright blue leggings, or the insanely long bathroom line that made me miss the opening act, but something about this place screams GRITTY. You have to be one tough cookie to roll with the crowd at Expo 5, at least that was the case during the Girl Talk show I attended last January. I have to say, as uncomfortable as I felt as I waited in line with my bladder about to explode, I got to a zen place where all my problems faded away and I could only concentrate on the experience that was stretched out before me. The venue itself is very unique and mimics an old airport hangar, very long and narrow with concrete floors and an arched vinyl ceiling. After our lovely bathroom line experience, we were forced to the back of the crowd, which is usually extremely displeasing. This experience, however, was anything but. First of all, we were closer to the bar in the back, which proved to serve us very well over the course of the evening. Second, it was the perfect spot to really stretch our legs and get our groove on, considering the incredible dance vibes that Girl Talk puts out during a live show. I can't say we would have been as pleased if we would have muscled our way to the front, but I am sure there were individuals who get their kicks up there as well. All in all, this is a venue that is not for the faint of heart, but if you survive the experience, it will definitely be something to tell your grandkids about. Just one word of advice...use the potty as much as you can before you arrive!

This is a location I have never heard of or been too until now. Residing in a Hangar, this large venue has many unique looking areas. Two large bars, two stages, snack bar, smoke room... They also have a flea market there sometimes during the day. It's a concert venue and it's also available for rental. Neat place.

Best concert of my life. Social D was great! My daughter got to go onstage with the band. Suedehead and Chuck Ragan were also great. Love the venue, security guards were some of the nicest people I've met anywhere. I will be attending more shows here. I live about 3hrs away and never knew about this place. I'm glad I have found it, perfect size, I talked to others standing in line that had been here before and they love the place too!

Got told that I had to stand at the back of the Social D show last night for participating in a mosh pit. No on else was asked to leave. Just me. I wasn't brought up to believe that all negative things happen to me because of my race, but even MIKE NESS made a comment about the way I was treated and that it was blatant racism. No more big venues for me, I've been around a long time and have never been treated like this. After paying $35 to see a favorite band, I just decided it wasn't worth it and just left. It was the absolute worst concern experience of over 20 years of punk shows. I was dancing around like everyone else but for some reason they felt they need 4 HUGE security guards to escort a woman who is 5'2" and about 130 lbs. No warning, just get out. The place is gross and it does smell bad. The concession people are completely rude. I never thought I would say this but the COP at the door was the coolest person there. The band sounded great and the sound system is good but that is the only positive I can say.

Wow. Having been to Coachella to Odd Future house parties, this venue has to be one of the most unique concert experiences, I have been to. Their drinks are very cheap, the sound system is great. It doesn't get that stupid hot feeling when you are up front because of the high ceilings. ATTENTION all other venues, take note! Security and all the other personnel were very attentive to the needs and wants of the show goers. This venue is definitely an up and coming place for University of Louisville kids, and other shows. I hope to watch their growth.

4 stars for the reason that it gets so hot during concerts. It's an amazing place. It's a good size for concerts. If you crowd surf at a concert the security guards help you get over the barrier. And if you start to have anxiety they will get you out of the crowd. They try to supply you with water. I saw all time low at expo five and it got so hot, they sprayed the crowd with a water hose. Over all it's a great place. I brought my older father to the concert with me and he couldn't handle the crowd for long so they had an outside section where he could have something to drink and relax. Defiantly recommend!!
