We arrived late at night on Friday 1 August and was greeted by a very nice young man at the valet. He offered to take our luggage to the room and when he returned, the lone luggage cart was missing a wheel, this should have been our first sign. We checked in for a two night stay for a high school reunion and when we arrived to our room, it smelled like the carpets hadn't been cleaned in a while but we let that go. I sat down in the business chair and noticed it was old and had the arm rest peeled off, which was not that big a deal but the hits just kept on coming. When my wife came out of the restroom she told me there were bugs in the restroom and the toilet wouldn't flush properly. I took pictures of the bugs and we thought about checking out that night but it was late so we decided to check out the next day. The next morning, I informed the front desk that we were going to check out that day instead of checking out the next day and asked for a late check out so we could check in to the Marriott. The next day we noticed we left something in the refrigerator so we went back on Sunday morning to see if it was in the lost and found. Upon my wife asking if she could check the room, the young girl at the desk asked for her name for proof, she saw our name and told my wife, "oh yeah, we have notes on you all", which is totally unacceptable. She needs to be retrained. Today upon checking my receipts on my app, I also noticed we were charged for the two full nights and multiple parking charges to include valet and self parking (they eventually refunded these charges after I called about the bill), however they refused to refund the extra night that we didn't stay. This is absolutely unacceptable. I attempted to call and again got the run around. I attempted to call the GM on multiple days with no response to my calls or an email to him directly. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Louisville for a concert. The room was fine and we were thankful to be able to have our dog! The did charge our card twice so we are working on sorting that out. I don't think we'd stay here again but it sufficed for the night.

Pretty nice rooms, good enough front desk staff, expensive self parking, but a great roof top bar!! Thursday night there was live music. Good menu, drinks and the shrimp were awesome. Airport shuttle has limited hours. Another great feature is the location. Walking distance. To lots of restaurants and 4th Street good times. I'll definitely stay here again in the future!

This is a nice hotel in downtown Nothing fancy just a good location The hotel itself is a bit run down not we'll maintained and the front desk staff on daylight is a bit rude and preoccupied with cell phones The parking is overpriced but I guess that's part of being downtown It's not really walking distance to any great places and to be honest, you don't want to walk around there at night anyway.

I'm writing to warn other businesses about the unethical practices of Hilton Garden Inn Louisville Downtown and their rooftop bar, EI8GHT UP. A chief engineer from their team approached my machine shop multiple times with an urgent request for custom parts to meet fire department requirements. He stressed the need for speed and, to my memory, never requested a formal quote before we started. We ordered materials and completed the job as quickly as we could. I informed him the parts were ready, only to be told they were no longer needed due to a change in plans--something he conveniently "forgot" to mention. Despite receiving the parts, they've refused to pay the $5,276.68 owed, even after I offered to settle for just the cost of materials. This is not just a matter of poor communication; it's a deliberate and unethical business practice. They placed a custom order, rushed its completion, and then refused to pay once the work was done. Their actions show a blatant disregard for the time, labor, and resources of small businesses. If they treat their business partners with such blatant disregard and unethical practices, one can only imagine how they might treat their customers. If you're considering doing business with Hilton Garden Inn Louisville Downtown or EI8GHT UP, beware--they will take advantage of your efforts and leave you with unpaid bills. Avoid working with them at all costs.

This was a great place downtown with indoor parking, safe entry, but mostly a Hilton . Excellent staff, clean room, comfy bead, good bathroom, cold ac! Best, this had a great restaurant and drinkery - as someone called it. For breakfast, we had Naya and the chef who would make our breakfast to order and bring us coffee for very welcoming start to the day. Thick bacon, eggs, hash- good breakfast. Not free- but as diamond we got a discount . But at night on the other end of the building so turning left out of the elevator as you get off on the protected eighth floor, is a great restaurant and bar with a fantastic mixologist. We got to learn a lot about Kentucky bourbon and we spent a lot of money learning but our bartender was fantastic, we didn't eat here at the restaurant looked perfect with great views over the city, this was the place to go if you have to stay in town on business. Walking distance one block to the huge outdoor arena with bars restaurants shops where we found a Brazilian steakhouse and had a great meal one night. Either way, we also got a great price, and I highly recimmed

I recently got married next door at the Henry Clay and decided to book here the night before and night of, solely because it was so close and they have an inside door that connects to the venue. If I were to do it all over again I probably would have stayed somewhere else. The Henry Clay and Hilton work together, so it was pitched to us through the wedding planning process to stay here; the inside hallway that connects the two was advertised heavily, and we were very interested in that feature more than anything. Well, come the day before the wedding they had failed to let us know that whole floor was under construction until we checked in, so we couldn't use it. To say I was PO'd is an understatement. The room was nice, and at first I was worried about being able to squeeze 4 bridesmaids and myself in there but ended up working great with the two beds and pullout couch. We also had an issue with the hotel being completely sold out. We had a block for the wedding, yet somehow my parents weren't able to get a room. Also, when we called to get more towels for the room, they let us know that they were completely out in the entire hotel. The last issue I had was getting the venue unlocked the morning of the wedding. Everyone advised me that the front desk would take care of it, and the first time I went up they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. So while I was frantically on the phone with my mother and the hair/makeup artists standing outside in the freezing cold, my mom gave me the name of the manager and once I asked for her, suddenly they knew what I was talking about. Overall, we had a close place to sleep and I liked the convenience. I wasn't happy about the issues but it's whatever. I do enjoy coming here to go to 8 Up, but doubt I would stay here again.

Our first room (406) was right around the corner from the Louisville Palace Theater and we heard music from the moment we checked in around 4:00pm until after midnight. We turned on a white noise app on our phone but it didn't help. Additionally, lousy coffee pods in the room. No flavor at all. I asked the next morning about a change of rooms. At first the young man offered to put us on the 5th floor but literally the same room just higher. I pushed and he put us in the same location but on the opposite end of the hallway, but on 5th floor. Sound was better, slept well, but lots of bugs under the window treatment blinds. Also the shower only had a curtain which didn't reach the inside of the curb which was designed (I think) to accommodate d regular shower door. Consequently water ran all over the bathroom under the door into the entry area of the room. We had to use all towels and washcloths to soak it up. Finally, we went to the restaurant on the 8th floor just for coffee and waited 20+ minutes and then left as we had a meeting time approaching. At the desk I was granted a $30 discount for the troubles. Just not up to expected standards. Hilton is slipping.
