Have always enjoyed the Bagels here. Today we tried the Chorizo Tacos based on a suggestion from a good friend! They were amazing and very delicious! Looking forward to our next visit and will be try the Biscuit!

Hands down the best bagels in Louisville! Without question! Excellent baked goods as well- scones have excellent texture that is firm and crumbly but not dry and sucking the moisture from your mouth. Yummy chocolate chip cookies too! Also, interesting drinks, albeit expensive at times due to where they are from- lemon hibiscus soda from Turkey, some good iced teas from somewhere in the US- they also have coffee etc. Parking gets kind of crazy but there is room on the street usually. One kind of weird thing is, their outside seating- they seem to have taken over the deck of the house nextdoor...but I haven't heard of any neighbor chasing anyone away with a broom or pitchfork.

We did an overnight stay in Louisville, and obviously we had to find a bagel spot for breakfast. The reviews for this place were great, so we had to hit it up. Being a Sunday morning we saw it would be busy, so I placed an online order for inside pick up. Their pick up service was SO EASY. The place was packed when I arrived and all I had to do was text and say I was there, and they called out my name. Easy peasy!! To top it off - the bagels were amazing!! I'll definitely be hitting this place up again the next time I'm in Louisville.

Great joint! Sunday morning and really crowded, but the line moves very quickly. Great selection of house made bagels, scones, biscuits, etc.. long list of bakery items from which to pick as well. Multiple cream cheese options as well. Queue up, order up, and enjoy! N*joy

Went on a rainy Thursday morning around 10am. The place wasn't too crowded when I arrived but then a second wave of the morning/early lunch crowd came and it was packed around 1030am with a lot of folks also getting carry out coffee and food orders. They have a small parking lot and street parking available. Ordered a specialty latte, cinnamon roll, and the lox sandwich on an everything bagel. I asked them to warm up the cinnamon roll and it was pretty good. Really enjoyed the toffee nut latte and lox sandwich. The vibe on the inside is more of a meet up or work place spot vs cozy and read a book place.

Still delicious as ever! We have been long time patrons of Nancy's Bagels and now Payne Street Bake House on Spring and Payne Street. We stopped by for breakfast last week. We arrived around 7:30 am and the small parking lot was full, but there was plenty of on street parking available. It's counter service and while we waited to order we perused the goods on display! We ordered two bagels with cream cheese, scone, and juices from the fridge! Total was $22 before tip, each bagel with cream cheese is a little over $4, which is pricey but everything was delicious as usual. They mound the cream cheese on the bagels and honestly, you could get an extra bagel just for the extra cream cheese. The store has plenty of seating if you choose to enjoy your breakfast inside. The breakfast sandwiches were tempting, but now range around $9 each.

Without fail, they will mess up your order. Love the bagel sandwiches, they are arguably some of the best in town. But honestly not sure if it's worth the trouble. The past 3 times I've been here, they've made our order wrong. It's a popular place, on the weekends you can expect a line. They take your order by hand-writing it on a piece of paper. The menu it extensive, I enjoyed the Willinger and the everything bagel was great. But half my group received their food at a different time because one order was completely wrong. The workers at the end of the line were visibly bothered to remake our food. It's awkward because it's clearly a communication problem on their side. Probably time to upgrade to a real POS system, especially with them expanding.

I am not much of a bagel sandwich person. However, over Derby weekend Payne Street Bake House made me a believer. Once inside you know whatever the line is for is worth it. The workers are fast, attentive, polite which just adds to why local shops are just so important to the Louisville food scene. I ordered a bacon and egg (no cheese) plain bagel toasted with butter and I will need it again very soon. Bagel sandwiches tend to be big, messy, and too filling. This is not that at all. The bagel is perfectly toasted and the ingredients do not make it huge. The bacon was some of the best breakfast sandwich bacon you can ever have. It is thick and not salty or too chewy to ruin the other ingredients. The egg came over hard and could have been cooked longer but that is my personal preference. 10/10 great way to start the day.

I love their bagels! From way back when they were Nancy's Bagel Box. This location is inviting and bright and an enjoyable visit. The parking lot is nice to have for those with mobility issues, but it is small and narrow and a bit of a cluster when it is busy. My coffee from here gets the job done and the food is pretty great. The wifi, when I was there last, was unreliable and not great and I had to hotspot from my phone. But other than that, it is a great coffee shop spot in an area that I think greatly benefits from it's presence.

It's cute and small and very popular! If you want to go on a weekend, it gets a little crowded but it's worth it. Their bagel sandwiches are so good. They have pastries, cookies, and other sweets. Get it to go or snag a table with friends. It's the perfect stop on a bike ride or just starting your morning slow.
