Or Taste of LouisFULL, as I like to call it!! I've gone to Taste of Louisville this year and last, and I definitely recommend it. I justify the cost in that a) it's a delicious event, and b) it's benefitting good causes. The air hangar is lined with all types of foods and drinks. The biggest drawback is, unless you buy a table, you will be fighting for one of the few cocktail tables or juggling stuff in your hands. Which isn't bad... it's just a little tricky. I try to eat as little as possible on the day of the event, and it is totally best to pace yourself while here. I always hate to waste food, but I believe it's literally impossible to eat everything here! You could easily get drunk at such an event; in which case, plan appropriately! (I focus on the food at this.) The atmosphere is pretty chill but fun--after all, the people here like to eat and drink too!!! I suggest coming early to maximize the experience and to give yourself some breaks between foods as you make your way around the room! Happy tasting!!

My husband and I went to this the last two years (2015-2016). The first year I went, a lady told me while standing in line that I would be full by the time I made it through only HALF of the tables! She suggested only trying the things that looked good - but what fun is that? She was right though, I was sooo full by the time I went halfway around the room! There are so many participants for this event, it's almost overwhelming! Each year it seems there are more, too! As others have mentioned, it's crowded, hot, and there are limited number of cocktail tables to rest at. I'm not sure there's a solution to this, other than getting a bigger venue and dressing in light clothes. As the participants increase, maybe the venue should too. Aside from the amazing food and drink tastings - I love to partake in the silent auction! They have something everyone can bid on to help support their charity partners. We have taken home some great date night packages that allowed us to try full meals at some of the places we tasted at the event.

This is one event to add to your Louisville social calendar, because it is not to be missed! I was fortunate enough to be able to go to Taste of Louisville this year, and I will definitely prioritize going to this event in the future. Located on Bowman Field property in the Executive Hangar, the space is the perfect open venue for a celebration of local flavors. The high ceilings of the hangar were festooned with lights and drapes to warm up the ambiance, and upbeat music filled the background of conversation and the tinkle of cutlery and glasses. I arrived a little late, but it worked out perfectly. After 7 PM there were still plenty of vendors with savory bites, sweet treats, and swigs of delicious drinks. I made my way around the room sampling the best of everything that was offered. I should have made more notes and taken more pictures to help me remember exactly what my favorites were, but I will just use that as an excuse to patronize the restaurants and figure out what my new favorite dishes are at each place. This is a crowded event, and it's difficult to find a cocktail table, but fortunately food is served in such a way that you can taste on the go, with small bites and utensils to help facilitate. You're sure to bump into friends, as my companion and I did, only adding to the festive and friendly atmosphere. Mark your calendar for next year's Taste of Louisville so that you don't miss out!

Great time getting a Taste of Louisville outside Mike Wide Brewery underneath a large tent. So many restaurants, breweries, and distilleries all in one place to give people a taste of what this city has to offer and raise money for 3 charities. It may have been super hot for fall but that did not stop me from enjoying tasty food from some of favorite places and able to sample from places on my list to visit. My list just got longer. If you go next year - Eat, drink, and donate.

Imagine taking the best bites from all your favorite restaurants + tantalizing samples from places you've maybe heard of, but never tried + boozey concoctions/beer/wine and shove it all into a unique airplane hanger you probably didn't know existed...and you get the Taste of Louisville. I volunteered at this event to avoid having to pay the $60 entry ticket (wowza, that's a bit steep for me). Loved volunteering. I was the wine wench for the guy judging the wine (shoutout to Tyler if he ever reads this). My job took all of 45 minutes before I was free to cruise around and ohhh and ahhh over all the fun plates and mixes. Lemme tell ya, the portions were not what I anticipated. They were muuuuuuch bigger. I wish I would have fasted in preparation for this, but alas, I lacked the willpower and foresight. Between the bacon wrapped dates from The Hub, the painkiller drink from Pusser's Rum, and the bajillion other delicious other morsels I had - someone should have rolled me outta there! The only problem I had with the venue was it was hot. Like, oh heyyy let me step into a puddle of lava and boast a gorgeous glistening sheen of sweat for a few hours while I mingle. Okay, maybe that's a bit too far, I digress. The location was snazzy, but really wish it was air conditioned! The silent auction had some amazing baskets and people def got some steals on how much they paid for their loot. Great fun!

Love, love, LOVE this event!! My husband and I enjoyed it so much. 2017 was our first stretch. We explored a lot of new eateries in Louisville and got some coupons and swag in the process. Bowman Field was a perfect venue - very spacious and accessible.

I look forward to this place every year all the food is delicious I just wish they had more options of drinks that was not alcoholic because I'm not a drinker but the food is on point and I just really really enjoy it only complaint I have would be that some of the chefs will pay attention to more of the white people versus black people its like they completely ignore that we are standing in front of them want them to talk to us about their food I noticed that tonight
