enjoyed a wonderful evening of talented musicians performing original music at The Monarch. The Monarch is a non-profit space for showcasing music, art & promoting community. you may walk in the door a stranger, but within moments of crossing the threshold, you are a friend. there are plenty of non-ticketed events (there's a jar for contributions to the musicians), listening sessions, jam sessions & ticketed events (Tommy Prine is coming January 2025). The Monarch is a beautiful space - like a friend's living room &/or the cozy cafe you remember haunting from your college days. its a space for songwriters, performers & all who love music, the arts & want to support their talent. check it out! you'll be very happy you did!

This was out first visit to the Monarch, and it won't be the last. You can tell the people running this place care and are really trying to create a supportive and welcoming community for the arts. This is just a lovely addition to the city's music scene. It's a small room, so you're not going to see The Killers here. But you will see some phenomenally talented musicians in an intimate setting that is tough to beat. A true listening room experience in the best way. Highly recommended.

Great space to watch emerging artists from Louisville and elsewhere. Cozy space with a wonderful outdoor area. There is a upstairs space where you can play instruments with other people. I am not a musician, but most of my friends are, and it seemed like an excellent space to be creative together. There is a membership fee if you want to come there to create, and not just to watch shows. I believe it is 25 dollars a month for 24/7 access, which is probably worth it.
