I'd never eaten at a Penn Station, and I never will again. I went to the one in New Albany, on Charlestown Road. First off, I got the wrong order. I wondered why the bag was heavy, but didn't look inside as I was in a hurry--and very hungry! A guy named Steve is probably pretty angry, as I got his order. I thought they called "Dee!" and I was the only other person in the store, aside from a guy who was already eating when I arrived, so as far as I knew it was my order. At any rate, I ended up with 2 small subs, and 1 large one with 2 cups of fries. Oh, and Steve, not only did they hand your order to the wrong person, you also deserve to know they forgot your cookies. First thing I noticed was the bread had a strange smell--almost like playdough. Or some kind of chemical devoid of any hunger-inducing aroma. I checked to see if it was just that sandwich, but all 3 had the same odor. It immediately eliminated all the hunger I'd been feeling. The entire order is now in my trash. Won't be going back again. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement as I had read many good things about Penn Station. Unfortunately, this visit will definitely be my last. Hey, Penn Station, what's up with your bread?!?!?

Ordered on line. Went to pickup at the time allotted. Unfortunately it sat too long and the 8.00 fries were cold. Also they did not read the notes. So sandwiches were not correct. All this and 37 (with tip) made it less than enjoyable. Usually better just not this time.

I've had this Penn station quite a few times while I was in the area. This is a pretty good addition to Penn station it's not one of my favorite places to eat at but they overall offer pretty decent sub for the price that you are pain. I like the Ruben is probably my favorite sandwich they make

I have only one complaint about this place. Covid-19 Delta is on the rise, yet no employees (nor customers except me!) wore masks. I only noticed this after I'd payed and was waiting for my order. I will not order again if I don't see masks on employees. The sandwich (Philly steak and cheese, of course) was so good! I hadn't been there in a couple of years and was very glad that I'd stopped in. Ordering and paying was fast and efficient, though they were backed up and I had a wait for my to-go lunchtime sandwich. This sandwich made me want to return and try it again, but if no masks, I won't order until we don't have to worry about the pandemic anymore.

When you live on the west coast but just want an east coast sub, the struggle is real. Penn station is usually one of my first stops when I'm back in Kentuckiana. I read the other reviews and am in shock. This location was super clean, super friendly, and efficient. I ordered my go to which is the grilled artichoke with mushrooms. It came out fresh and hot. It was also delivered to my table, which negates some other reviews. I'll be back next year when I'm back in town. Took a star away because it was soooo hot in there!

Well this place is busy.. zzzz staff could not keep up with the orders, 4 people ordered after us and received their food before us. The lemonade was extremely sour. The soda machine was out of Pepsi syrup, so fizzy wAter is what Waac dispensed. Staff was notified of this isssue and an hour later still had not fixed the shortage. Our French fries were very sparse. I asked a manager about it and she used some language that should be exchanged with customers. We were very disappointed lemonade and fries are the reason we like this dive..

8/21 @ 4:38pm. Ordered three sandwiches and fries. After other customers and I observed the employee repeatedly coughing in the fries, I cancelled them. I asked to speak with the manager, employee told me, "I'm as good as you get" Employee appeared stoned. He had an open sore on his elbow. Hair down in his face. He was arguing with other employees who were standing around taking to each other. He said to them angrily, "I JUST NEED YOU TO DO WHAT I TELL YOU!" Got home and sandwiches were wrapped strangely. Tape had to be cut off sandwiches with scissors as the tape was wrapped tightly around each sandwich like twine! Tried sending email on Penn Station website. After three attempts, I finally gave up. Wouldn't accept my submission Horrible and frustrating experience!!

Four stars, plus one. Either I just lucked up here, or they have made some changes. I hadn't been to this location in years. The last time I was here, it wasn't good and I hadn't been back since, until the other day. I made my way over to the Charlestown Road location a few months ago, only to be served a sandwich missing half of the meat. I swore that location off. So, I found myself giving this locale another try. I walked in and was greeted Chick-fil-A style, which was a good start. The inside was also clean. Even better. I was about to order a 6", fries, and drink, when the girl suggested the monthly special, which was a great deal. I decided to get the footlong, so I could take half of it to work the next day for lunch. Lazy, I know. $12 and change got me a footlong Philly, fries, and a drink. That's almost Subway prices. The good deal would be relative though, if my sandwich were to be made skimpily like I had at the other location. Luckily, it was the exact opposite. They hooked it up so much that the toppings were almost overflowing. A complete night and day difference from the other location. (See my pics for that sad "Where's the beef?" sandwich.) I'm sure these locations are franchised, and I'm curious if they have the same owner or not. Maybe I just lucked up. I don't know. Either way, I left happy and didn't feel like I wasted money. The sandwich was great for fast food and the fries were good, as always. They were fried perfectly and the portion size was right. They serve Pepsi products here, which didn't make me happy, but the sweet tea was good enough not to insult a Southerner. They also have fresh-squeezed lemonade, which I remember being really good. It was a heck of a deal, especially since I got an extra work lunch out of it. I'll be back here for sure, and I hope they repeat this experience. I rounded up for improved service, value, and my sandwich being stuffed full. A nice surprise.

So I had been going to this place for a while since it was the only place close to having a steak cheese . I went today to get a chicken Philly and a small Italian . The place was relatively empty and there were only a few employees that wore masks . I am fairly sure no one really cared one way or another , we waited for 22 minutes for the order and instead of getting a chicken Philly I got a steak and cheese and I was not going up there to change the order . Paying 26.00 for two sandwiches and a fry and a few drinks doesn't make the experience any better . Like i said I came for the steak and cheese because it was close to my taste .. I probably will end this experiment of coming here . It's not worth the wait or aggravation or lack of attention to a order ..

I would not eat here. I just want walked into this establishment and forced my teenage son to leave. ( He was employed here) I found messages that teenagers there are using smelling salts as drugs and vaping in the store. Furthermore the owner is refusing to pay my teenager after a month of employment. When you go and they are short staffed do not be surprised and PLEASE do not allow your teenagers to work there! If management thinks this review is bad wait till they see the papers they are getting ready to get served with. Wrong mama buddy!
