This place is perfect! We found ourselves here one early evening before we had to catch a Belle of Louisville cruise. Easy drive over the bridge. Plenty of parking. Indoor and outdoor seating. Attentive staff. Fresh food! I saw halloumi on the menu so that was our appetizer. It came with pita, tomatoes, and cucumbers. It was perfection! When they brought it out, they also brought us a bowl of salad. We're not entirely sure if one of our meals came with a salad(probably weren't paying attention) and we weren't in a salad mood. We each took one bite of the salad and almost fought over it lol. We licked the bowl clean. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! My wife ordered the salmon. It came with veggies and rice. She loved it! It definitely filled her up and since we were taking a cruise, it felt ideal to eat fish. I went with the steak shawarma. I wanted something a bit lighter since we were going to be out most of the evening. It was perfect too! I opted for rice as my side and that's probably the only thing I messed up on. There's generally not a thing as too much rice but it was nearly a plate full. Once I ran out of steak, there's no way I could've scarfed the rest of that rice down. I was stuffed in the best way. Once we finished, I went up to pay. The guy(I assume the owner) asked how things were and of course I replied amazing! Every single thing we had here was fresh! My only regret honestly is that I hadn't been to this place until now. It's certainly the best Mediterranean food I've had in the area. We plan to come back!

It's hard to find a Really Good Gyro these days... But.. it seems one has found me!.. As I'm walking by minding my own business... then realizing I'm hungry... I see a couple walking out of an establishment carrying what looks to be a To-Go Food bag... And what do you know .. before my face sits a Mediterranean Cuisine restaurant that I have walked right past for the last 2 weeks.. Mostly due to the fact that I'm not from New Albany and just so happened to be working on a project around the corner.. Anywho... Long story short... They had Gyros.... Ohhhh Myyyy Goodness.... And they did it Just Right... I can tell the meat was shaved (as it should be) and not pre cut and packaged (as it shouldn't be).. and the freshness and flavor was ALL there... oh and the seasoned fries complimented my sandwich perfectly. The name has changed to PETRA Mediterranean Cuisine

One are for $18.99 before the tip. Firstly, it's on the river walk, ample parking and beautiful views. Inside is cozy, clean and well lit. The steak sandwich was excellent - large amount of meat and mixed well with sauce and tomatoes etc. The onion rings were solid - firm and didn't slip out when biting into - excellent! Service was fast and nice people.

The hummus is amazing served with piping hot fluffy pita bread. The gyros are solid. We always get them. Our daughter has celiac so we get her the chicken kabob plate. Fries are seasoned well, good portion too. The owners wife homemade baklava cheesecake is awesome! We eat here often!

Wifey wanted Mediterranean for her birthday and chose Alladin. I checked it out on Yelp and found great reviews. It is a cute place near the river in New Albany. You dont see the river because of the flood wall. We ordered our food with Mike, the owner from Jordan, then sat outside in the courtyard since it was about 75 degrees with a breeze. Tammy was our gracious server. Tammy brought out the hummus, Baba Ghanoush and Pita bread. It was all quite different from anywhere else we dined at, which is many places in several states. We both had the the rotisserie beef and lamb Yee Ro with onion rings on the side. The rings had big crunch and served with a different ranch I ever had. The Yee Ro's had great flavor along with the Tzatziki sauce. I ordered some Baklava to go and trust it will be fine also. I'm confident we will be back, especially since it is close to home. Until now, we had to travel across the river to Louisville for good Mediterranean food. Funny while we were there, all patrons ate outside in the courtyard and none inside. It was a beautiful day and glad we found Alladin's.

Had another amazing experience at Aladdin's. We went on a Tuesday around 7:00pm. There were a few families sitting inside but we were able to find a table. We looked over the menu and went up to place our orders. Our food was ready within 10-12 minutes. We ordered the hummus which is always amazing & is the best hummus I've ever had. If you haven't had their hummus - you should put it on the top of your to-do list. We also tried several new things this trip: baba ghanoush (different & delicious if you like eggplant), falafel (delicious), the rotisserie gyro with beef & lamb (so fresh & juicy), & the steak sandwich (absolutely incredible, full of flavor, highly recommend). We also tried the Turkish coffee with cardamom - it was very rich (which I loved) & after a few sips I could feel the caffeine. We also tried the homemade Nutella cheesecake - the cheesecake was perfectly creamy & the crust was good too! The service is always friendly & welcoming at Aladdin's. We love this place!

The food was good, sitting outside in the little courtyard was good, having to pay for water and a slice of lemon in the water was not good. Paying for tapwater is ridiculous and makes me not want to return to this restaurant, even though the food was good. Also not knowing in advance that we would be charged for water and a slice of lemon. Come on guys , what are you thinking?

We LOVE this place! Authentic and crazy delicious middle eastern food, (owner is from Jordan). Family run and operated, super friendly and accomodating. For instance, we had my wife's birthday party there and they accommodated our entire family and friends (over 25 people)! Lemme me put it this way, on a recent visit I saw 2 chefs from neighboring restaurants coming in for take out at lunch...with that kind of endorsement, you know the food is special. Try everything, it's all great!

Aladdin's is a hidden gem, tucked away in a cute little "underground" area in New Albany. Honestly if it wasn't for Yelp I don't think we would have ever came across it on our own, and that would have been a tragedy. The doors were clearly marked that there was no service, you can dine in but your food would be given to you as if it was to go. I personally love this concept, it makes for an easy getaway when I'm ready to go. You order, you pay, boom the hard parts done, there is no waiting around for the check and take out boxes at the end of your meal, love it. I will say I'm not a fan of the extra waste this method produces but that's the only down side. Alright now for what we've all been waiting for...the food. I have to start by saying HOLY MOLY! I was not expecting to get one of the best steak sandwiches of my life there, but it happened. I had the Aladdin's steak sandwich (minus the green peppers add tomatoes and lettuce) and it was perfect. It actually got better the more I ate, no diminishing returns here. The juice from the meat mixed with the mayo on the pita bread...YUM! It was great, made me wish I lived closer to New Albany. I have a feeling I'm going to be making a lot of trips over the bridge this summer. The man behind the counter (I'm assuming the owner) was extremely nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I can't wait to go back and I highly suggest you go try them out as well!
