Enjoyed this water taxi service. A quick ride across the Sound avoided having to deal with traffic and parking. Once we arrived in Downtown Seattle, we were able to navigate quickly to our destination. Perfect way to get to Downtown from West Seattle. Also took the shuttle after we returned to West Seattle which was very convenient and nice since we didn't have the difficult hill climb.

A short 5 minutes ferry ride to west Seattle. The staffs are friendly and helpful. They are quite organized, the boarding process is smooth. The ride is awesome with great views of the city and greenery

We loved our experience riding the King County Water Taxi! After taking a roughly $45 Uber out to Cormorant Cove and walking back up, we noticed there was a taxi that could take us directly downtown, so I downloaded the app and we purchased tickets. The stairway down to the taxi is a little unbalanced and is pretty wobbly if there happen to be multiple people walking up or down it, but otherwise the taxi waits in a pretty neat area. At the pier next to the boat fisherman fish and crab, lifting huge cages full of crab and throwing back the small ones so it's pretty neat to watch as you wait for the taxi to take off. The tickets were very reasonable compared to the Uber, and after a short chug over to the port downtown, we were back where we needed to be. All in all, a great experience!

This water taxi took on a rogue container barge heading towards the Seattle Aquarium and the Great Wheel. I bet those passengers didn't expect their day to turn into an adventure. Must have felt like an action movie. "You shall not pass!!!" Hats off to Capt. Krehbiel and crew for keeping the sea creatures and people safe that day.

We followed the signs over the overpass through the ferry station up an elevator to the water taxi terminal. We found the ticket machine & spent $11.25 each for round trip tickets to West Seattle Alki Beach. We took one of the few seats. Security reprimanded those not wearing masks. There was a water taxi schedule on the internet. There was a board at the terminal indicating where to cue up & the time out water take departs. Our taxi ride was :15. It was cool @ breezy with indoor & outside seating. The views were beautiful.

Best low cost thing to do for your out of town visitors. For those of us in the south area, you can park on the street in west Seattle, walk on the taxi and hit Pikes Market for your friends and water taxi it back. Quintessential Seattle.

This review is coming from a tourist. You know, one of those idiots that immediately stops vs stepping off to the side because they are clueless of where they are at and you're just trying to do your day-to-day. But man! I LOVE your water taxi. Or more specifically, the taxi from DT to Seacrest park. I saw some mom complain on Yelp that this isn't what they expected for her kids. Really? Shut up. What part of the word "taxi" is foreign to you? Good God. And she actually writes a lot of reviews. To me, this was perfect. How perfect? Well: - It got me from A to B, the way it's supposed to. - I was able to get on the water. I saw Seattle in a way that many do not and it is wonderful. - This thing was on time. I mean clock work perfect. If you don't drive, or don't want to drive DT, this is the way to go. Now if the 755 could also figure out that clock work thing....

I LOVE THE WATER TAXI!!! I don't know how I only found out about it in 2017. When I have friends visiting from out-of-state, I usually always take them on the water taxi from West Seattle to downtown to see the view of Seattle. You can see Mount Rainier, the Space Needle, various buildings in downtown like the Smith Tower, and sooo much more! The views are seriously amazing. I recommend going inside the water taxi and taking the stairs up to the upstairs deck. Took me a few rides to figure out how to get up there LOL. The staircase is in the middle of the inside seating room. For $5.50 a ride, you get free transportation to West Seattle/Downtown Seattle and an amazing view. The taxi goes a lot faster than you would expect. The ride is the perfect length in terms of time. I usually always find street parking near the West Seattle dock which is free. They do have a parking lot there in front of Marination Ma Kai, but it's tiny. There's also public bathrooms at the West Seattle dock if you need to go. I usually always rode it during the summer, but recently I rode it during the winter at night. It was freezing LOL. We were in the upstairs dock and the wind was literally blowing us backwards and slapping our face so hard. I think I prefer the views during the day LOL. But the ferris wheel is lighted up, and all the lights in downtown are on so it's bright outside. We ended up just staying inside for the way back because it was too cold. Be sure to check the schedule so you don't miss the last taxi!
