Not what we expected. We attended Dirty Circus based on a recommendation from a couple in our group who had enjoyed the show two years ago. However, they noted that it has changed significantly and has gone downhill in quality (maybe we just got unlucky with the talent last Saturday). What was once a sensual show with high-quality acts now feels more like a strip club with underwhelming talent. The performance was repetitive, lacked variety and the three unnecessarily long intermissions seemed to be a way to cover the gap from not having enough acts.

I attended the house of yes for the rabbit hole party on 3/28. Being that it was my first time and I was celebrating my birthday I was very excited . I agree with the previous comments as far as the place being eccentric and full of fun .
The venue itself was spacious had different rooms to go into and live performances while we partied

Free water station which is awesome ! First place I’ve been in to offer this Everyone was easy to talk to and dressing up to the theme is essential . I met some really good attendees who I made friends with

I wanted to rate the place so highly for this reason but I had a bad experience with the PHOTOGRAPHER that night .

Of course the line was very long for the pictures so I waited till it got smaller ,
All night I was complimented on my outfit as I made sure I dressed up for the theme and wanted to make the experience as good as it can be

When I finally had my turn the photographer turned to me and said “pictures done” after he spent about 10 minutes photographing the couple in front of me .

From my observation since I was standing in line for about 10 minutes I was the only minority on the line ( for context because I have seen other reviews where minorities felt as if they weren’t given then same treatment in this place )

and his attitude was very cold towards me after I told him I was waiting for a while and it was my actual birthday .

He didn’t even look at me when he said “ hope you enjoy your birthday “ as he started packing his camera equipment  at 2 am even though the party ended at 4 am

I wouldn’t have written this review if his responses weren’t so cold to me as I figured he probably had to leave at a certain time but I believe in compassion and being kind to everyone .

It was more upsetting because I really wanted to have atleast one  photo  from that night . This was my first year celebrating in a long time

I let time slip and the lines were really long .
Previously that night my friend ( who is minority ) was literally yelled at by a women who claimed to work there while she was trying to take a selfie . Mind you in the “smoking section “ outside is where my friend observed non minority females taking pictures and not being told the same thing .

We aren’t allowed to take personal photos in the venue for privacy reasons

I was to emphasize EVERYONE else in the venue I had no issues with . The bartender ( white male ) was super sweet ,

I’ve seen previous comments especially on Reddit about black / brown people feeling unwelcome in this space and it’s small part of me that has to agree based off these events that happened to me and my friend that attended with me .

Music -
Let me just say any age mix. It's a great vibe, and the music was a mixture ( well mixed) of old and new.  This Musician has cleverly melted soul rhythms and new motion with motionless moments.
I tried everything, Jay! Wrote a poem on the spot with an old typewriter ching.
I had an amazing time.
Greeted at the door with instructions, and I was in.

FUN! We enjoyed every minute of it, even including the intermissions that other reviews were humbugs about. We thought the performers were great, the three people who won the bathtub seats were great sports, and it was all around a great night out. Had planned to stay for the dance party, but decided to go back to our hotel and have our own party instead. ;)
