The chicken sandwich (breast) was not what I expected. definitely a bit dry.

The restaurant is pretty dark and loud, you go and order up front. The frozen drinks were pretty frozen that it was hard to drink.

Late night find on a Sunday that was amazing. Birthday day night out, and food was the last thing on our minds, but I am so happy that this was the spot. Nice crowd, ambiance, and the staff was amazing and accommodating. From the bouncer , bartender, food runner, and compliments to the chef. I love fried chicken, and that's what got me to the establishment. The reviews don't lie. Healthy serving, crispy moist,and biscuits with honey butter. Finger licking good.  My daughter, with her high standards on burgers, went for the bacon cheeseburger, and it was a hit. The chicken club ordered by my mom, who is definitely the picky eater, was a 2 thumbs up. Let me not forget that the drinks were really good as well. Frozen mojitos, Pina coladas, and  the Rum Punch hit the spot on all fronts. If you're in the area, this is a definite must try spot. Now, on my list of faves to hit when in the area. Thanks for helping my birthday be tasty!!!

Place is little gem. Little dive bar with good music and amazing food. Loved the atmosphere and super chill vibe. The chicken sando is a banger!

I came for the fried chicken plate and it delivered. Everything else, maybe not so much.

The fried chicken, as promised, is well brined and juicy, crunchy and has a ton of batter (hopefully you like that style). The plate is huge too and I ended up taking half home.

The plate comes with biscuits which are ok but tastes like it was cooked a while ago, which is funny since I was there as soon as the kitchen opened at 5pm.

The Mac and cheese also seemed to have been made a day ago and was lukewarm. Thankfully it reheats nicely but you don't come to the Commodore to eat food the next day.

The atmosphere is that of a typical dingy bar and definitely felt like a low rent place.  This feels like a late, late night place.

Overall the chicken was great but everything else was eh.

Be prepared to order at the bar, as there is no table service. The venue can get quite busy, especially during weekends, so arriving early is advisable. Parking is available on the street, but it may require some patience.

Den stekta kycklingen är som utlovat välstekt och saftig, knaprig och har massor av smet (förhoppningsvis gillar du den stilen). Tallriken är enorm också och det slutade med att jag tog med mig halva hem. 

Tallriken kommer med kex som är ok men smakar som om den tillagades för ett tag sedan, vilket är roligt eftersom jag var där så fort köket öppnade vid 17-tiden. 

Macen och osten verkade också ha gjorts för en dag sedan och var ljummen. Tack och lov värmer det upp fint men man kommer inte till kommendören för att äta mat nästa dag. 

Atmosfären är som i en typisk dingy bar och definitivt kändes som en låg hyra plats. Det här känns som ett sent kvällsställe. 

Sammantaget kycklingen var stor men allt annat var eh.

Stor liten bar kasta tillbaka till 90-talet snabb och utsökt mat Hot Chicken smörgåsen var fantastisk, pommes frites på den lite krispiga sidan men jag var mätt efter sando, riktigt bra snabb service i baren. Prispunkten var också rimligt för området.

Ingången till denna bar är väldigt svårfångad eftersom det inte finns några fönster och det ser ut som att du eventuellt skulle kunna komma in i en stripklubb. Temat inuti är väldigt retro. Det liknar något på 70-talet. Jag och mina kollegor blev helt bortkastade där lol. Bokstavligen lämnade snubblar ut ur baren. Det är bra tider för några goda drycker

Bara funnit om denna plats efter att vi bad i en bar runt hörnet var var bra för mat, barman berättade för oss denna lokala plats var stor. Vi skulle aldrig ha hittat det om vi inte letade.

När min flickvän var vegetarian var vi tveksamt först eftersom vi inte visste om de skulle ha något hon skulle vilja ha. Jag beställde Medium Breast och hon beställde Veggie Burger. Vi båda trodde verkligen att de var stora, som i, vi trodde att det var den bästa måltiden i NY bra. Sidor var också klass, Mac & ost och Björn fries var lysande också men skulle föreslå små portioner även om delning.

Skulle också säga att cocktailerna var trevliga men ganska dyra.

Om i Brooklyn skulle jag göra en ansträngning att gå här, det var hur mycket vi gillade det och skulle rekommendera det.

Tjänsten var också ganska anständigt, personalen rekommenderade oss även några fler barer att besöka som vi verkligen haft, stort tack ??

Kom hit med en vän under en dagstur till Brooklyn på en resa från Storbritannien. Platsen själv är smutsig och mörk (vi var tvungna att flytta bord eftersom sätet var bruten). Bartendern var öppet oförskämd för min vän att köpa vår första omgång och när jag köpte andra rundan blev det klart att hon ville ha ett tips med varje köp istället för att vara kvar vid bordet i slutet (vilket var vad vi förbereder oss för att göra). Men snarare än att påpeka detta på ett par turister sa hon detta på ett oförskämt och fientligt sätt som gjorde att vi lämnade efter att vi hade avslutat dessa drycker.

Jag förstår att tippkultur är annorlunda i USA till Förenade kungariket, men jag förväntar mig några försök till kundtjänst innan jag begär ett tips. Detta var inte en vänlig pointer re kultur skillnader; Det var en oförskämd och aggressiv attack.

På plus sida är happy hour öl $ 4 varje och tydligen maten är bra, även om vi inte stanna för att prova det.

Den vanliga kontingenten av tatuerade lokalbefolkningen kommer hit för den billiga öl och kitschiga cocktails. Bullernivån är vridet smärtsamt hög i kväll. Mitt företag uppskattar inte detta alls, men några positiva kommentarer om den charmiga inredningen.

Detta är en bra bar. Jag är säker på att lokalbefolkningen försöker hålla locket på denna plats! Det finns ingen skylt alls överallt, och från utsidan ser det positivt skrämmande ut. Men inuti har den den varma och mysiga atmosfären av alla riktigt speciella lokala barer. Det är inte riktigt en dykbar; det är bara "bodde i." Och de har bra, prisvärd mat också!

Vi har grundligt haft vårt besök på en söndag eftermiddag där vi hade stekt kyckling med kex och fisken & grits och ett par pints av kall öl. De spelade bra musik, och barnen spelade en massa rundor på den gratis spelbaserade skola videogame.

Observera att vi åkte på en söndag kl 12:30. Från de andra recensionerna (inklusive New York Magazine's recension), samlar jag det kan bli mycket trångt och svårt att komma till och från baren, där all ordering äger rum (det finns ingen bordservice, men om du beställer mat någon medför det till ditt bord från köket). Så varnas, det kan vara trångt vid topptider.

Jag var inbjuden att gå och låt mig berätta, det här stället är en pärla som är gömd i vanlig syn. Förväntade mig inte mycket från utseendet på platsen, men den varma kycklingmackan och pommes frites är bra. Smörgåsens storlek var mer än fyllning och de stora pommes fritesna är mer än tillräckligt för att dela. Jag beställde också kex som var färskt och kommer med detta fantastiska honungsmör. Om du planerar att besöka, se till att du beställer en sida av kex. Du kommer inte ångra det!
