I visited this restaurant for dinner with my boyfriend, eager to experience it after reading numerous positive reviews. While the meal was decent, it unfortunately did not meet our expectations. We ordered the burger, steak, and crab ravioli. The burger was average, and the peppercorn sauce on the steak was far too overpowering. The ravioli, though flavorful, was served in a disappointingly small portion. We also had espresso martinis, which, for $20 each, were surprisingly small and felt overpriced. Surprisingly, the squash was our favorite dish which says a lot in itself. While the experience wasn’t bad, overall, it left much to be desired. I'm unsure if I would return

I came here the first week that they opened, and even as someone in the restaurant industry, you wouldn’t have known that they were a brand new business. Their team was amazing and seemed as though they’d been working together for months, not days. The food was delicious! The chicken was outstanding, the seafood tower was fresh and fun, and don’t skip the chips and ham. It is very simple, but so delicious and thoughtful! The space itself is very warm and inviting, great for a nice meal with family or a date. The drinks were STELLAR — the classic martinis were really special and ice cold. I can’t wait to go back!!

Greenpoint can feel like a constant stream of new openings, each vying for your attention. But The Snail is truly on a different level. It's an experience for a classy date night or a buzzy dinner with pals. The space itself is near perfection,  warm lighting, great music and a collection of vintage finds that makes us wish our own apartment looked like this.

The bar is so inviting and the drinks are special. We seriously loved their house martinis and the standout cocktail was definitely the Fernet Sour which - so delicious and inventive.

But let's talk about the food rundown. Squash that melts in your mouth, caesar salad of dreams (fried capers and a great dressing ratio!!), chicken you definitely need to order, a 10/10 cheeseburger and fries.

But here's the showstopper: the desserts. The "Chocosu" – their take on tiramisu – is pure genius. I'm honestly a little jealous I didn't think of it first. And get the sundae.

Yes, there may be a wait, but trust, it's worth it. The staff makes you feel like family, S/O Taylor! Go go go and thank me later.

One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in New York. Bobby was an incredibly attentive server, and helped us decide on dishes to try. The manager Taylor was also so great and made sure we were enjoying the food and experience at the Snail.

We got the Bread and Fennel Butter, which was so fresh and great. The Brussel sprouts were truly out of this world, and you get quite a bit. Caesar salad was also to die for, the dressing was so flavorful and the fresh grated Parmesan was plentiful. The real winner to me was the honeynut squash. It had this amazing, creamy soft cheese, with this crunchy chili peppered across the squash. It’s a must try!

For main course, I got the double cheeseburger. Also absolutely amazing! It’s exactly what you want from a hamburger, juicy, cheesy, saucy, enough meat. My husband got the chicken which was also so good, and was flavorful and not dry at all.

We finished with this slice of chocolate cake that had a layer of tiramisu. It was unreal! The Snail is the new restaurant to go to in North Brooklyn. It’s also so beautifully designed inside, with great music playing while you eat. It’s unpretentious, yet so refined and creative.

Amazing new addition to the neighborhood. Lamb tartare was one of the best things we’ve eaten in recent memory. Steak frites were the best in the neighborhood and up there with other NYC classics. Chicken was very unique and tasty.
