This was my first visit to a Cava in Baton Rouge, and it was busier than I expected with LSU's semester being over. Overall, the restaurant was clean and very bright on the inside. Even with there being a steady stream of customers, it did not take long for us to get our food through the line. I opted to build my own bowl, and I thought there was a good variety of choices for your protein and toppings. I got the spicy chicken for my protein and it was delicious! The bowl itself was enough food that I could have made two meals out of it. I also got a side of pita chips and hummus, and was pleasantly surprised that while there were only 5-6 pita chips, they were HUGE. Only issue was that there was no ice in the machine, but they remedied that situation quickly.

Went for lunch. Always clean. Always delicious. Feel good after eating. The menu can be hard to understand. I feel it's best to pre build on the website so I know my options and calories. Bad experience today. No ice in the self service soda machine. Asked the employee three times and then asked for a refund of the soda price. He said he saw us get some so he wouldn't refund. Asked for ice again and he said he could not because he was the only one there. Just left and won't come back.

Every single time I visit these locations in Baton Rouge, I am quickly reminded of the CLEAR lack of corporate management and training the staff received; or lack their of.. It's not their fault , don't blame them. Behind every weak employee is a very weak manager. But I digress, this is the franchisees /owners job to ensure the staff has been trained properly. You couldn't augur otherwise with a straight face and a good moral conscience. TRAIN YOUR STAFF.

I eat here often and it is always delicious. Today, the service was above and beyond excellent. I actually made a mistake when I placed my order online, and the employee who met me at the drive up window, Lane, was so friendly and kind and made the most perfect falafel and veggies bowl I've ever eaten. 10/10, delicious food, wonderful service. Best place to get lunch in Baton Rouge.

Customer service is rude. The worker explained to me that even though I ordered togo on the app, because the default is set to "in restaurant" not "drive through", they almost lost my order. They didn't even fill my cup with the soft drink that I paid $3 for, just threw the empty cup in the bag. And since I was picking up for someone else I didn't notice it until I was halfway home, too late to turn around. This place is NOT worth the hype.
