Ok I go to Martins for wine all the time, and I've been to the one in Metairie for food before but for whatever reason, it took me a minute to try this out. Once I tried it though, I was hooked and ready to have more. 1st visit we had the smoked salmon BLT because everything about it was screaming at me to try it. I loved the bread, buttery and crispy, but I wish it was either a little more filling or a little less bread. The insides to bread ratio was off. That of course did not stop me from eating and enjoying the entire thing with a glass of white... 2nd visit provided an option that would lead me to not order anything else ever from martins. The Reuben. Holy shit. The pastrami was juicy and salty, the cheese was melty, the sauerkraut and Russian dressing was tangy and then you have this epic buttery crunchy rye bread that is so fantastic - I want to have it right now while I'm typing this. A hat tip also to the fries that I probably didn't need but always want because who doesn't love a cajun fry nice and hot from the grease. Yes please. Low key quiet place for lunch or to go pickup, and as always the wine is a delight. So much to love about Martin and I'm so glad they brought the deli side to BR!

The staff here is very friendly. Even held open the door for us. Ordered online. Easy experience. I got the burger and co-worker got the Turkey sandwich. Both were huge! Everyone at work wanted to come over and take a look because I was raving abt my burger. 10/10. Definitely going back. I did buy a chocolate chip cookie separately and forgot it. So sad because it looked delicious! The only reason it's not 5 stars, is because their fountain drinks were small and expensive.

Cafeteria style restaurant inside an alcohol distributor. Clean with an attempted upscale feel. Staff was very friendly. Came for the Rueben Sandwich after seeing an article in 225 Magazine. Food was slightly above average. Nothing to write home about. Probably the best/only Rueben you'll find in Baton Rouge though. Will be going back to try their Cuban Sandwich, but likely never to return after that.

Checked out the new location and tried their deli! I love Martins. They have great sandwiches. Actually they have some of my favorite deli sandwiches. They don't have the same full menu as the New Orleans locations, but they have the good options. My favorite sandwich is the Lindy special (make it hot and pressed) it comes on 7 grain with turkey, tomatoes, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing and coleslaw. It is such a great sandwich and it comes with so much turkey. Since this location is relatively new, they did not have anything in the front case but they will be partnering with Ambrosia bakery to have their cakes at Martins! Also, if they have chicken salad, get it. Some of the best I've ever had!

I eat at their deli often and also pick up orders. The staff is always friendly and the food excellent. Their heated Muffalotta and a side of potato salad always hits the spot.

My boss stopped and got us lunch. I ordered a Rueben and sweet potato fries. Overall it was good. BUT, a Rueben means sauerkraut. There wasn't any. Also, the "Russian Dressing" is essentially Thousand Island. It was like no Russian Dressing I'd ever seen. Apparently the restaurant industry has a different meaning for Russian Dressing. The meat was really good though. It was actually perfect corned beef. Also, what Rueben comes without a dill pickle on the side. This one!

Went here for a French Wine Tasting Tour. Tickets were $20 on Eventbrite. The tasting included 20 wines (you could get refills) and a variety of snacks (meats, cheeses, crackers and cookies). The staff and attendees were lovely people. Martin's chose to showcase affordable wines that all were under $20! As we sipped and chatted, I perused the aisles and found the liquor and accoutrements selections to be top-notch. I would definitely visit this business again.

I always enjoy going to Martin, whether to buy wine, liquor etc., or eat at the deli. It is a clean, well-kept business, with good food and great service. The personnel are friendly and helpful. I usually see someone I know when having lunch there. The wine and liquor staff are excellent and knowledgeable. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety and prices. I usually shop prices on new things before I buy them, so I know what kind of price to expect. The wine and liquor prices at Martin are hard to beat anywhere in Baton Rouge. If we could get Martin to add a deli at the Bocage store, it would be an awesome welcome addition I am sure. BTW, since we have family in New Orleans, I've been in N.O. Martin locations. I like the BTR ones better!

The D.Y.M. Burger may be the best burger in Baton Rouge. I've had burgers all over the city, and I can think of none better. Every element works for me, the meat was cooked to the temperature I asked , it was seasoned well and the condiments were fresh and tasty. The bun put it over the top for me, toasted sesame seed. I'm not sure how they are sourcing them ,but they are great.
