We had an epic adventure here. When we arrived to check in our room wasn't ready. For some reason the curtians were ripped off of the windows?? What the...my guy and I had several fun theroies about what could have possibly happened to said curtians, and none of them were G rated. Anyways, they upgraded us to a king suite (score) and we soon got settled in. Our room was clean and the breakfast that was included was yummy. This Holiday Inn is in a great location-close to everything on busy Seigen Lane. The only reason I knocked off a star was because I forgot a library book and a bookmark that had sentimental value here and when I realized my mistake I called and spoke with the front desk and it was being held for me in the lost and found. The next time I was in town I stopped by to pick it up and they could not find it. So I ended up having to buy the book from the library and missing my awesome bookmark. Sad face. All in all, I would stay here again. I will not be bringing a book, though.

If you want to sleep don't stay here. I'm writing this at midnight because there's running and commotion in the hall since 11pm. I've called about, and nothing has been done. Do not recommend. BYW I'm huge iHG fan, Diamond Elite Member. Normally not the case at other IHG.

My charge card kept getting charged different charges and big chunks at that. Although I'm "assuming" some of these charges are going to fall off. those charges won't fall off for 7-10 business days, leaving me very little amount left on my credit card to use the remainder of my trip .what a screw up. Also, the first room they gave us was so filthy, to the point of having to give us another room. They would never answer the phone when you dialed zero from the room and they would never answer the regular phone number when I called from my cell phone. I've never had such a bad experience at a hotel. I did not trust them to the point I video taped my room upon leaving, so they couldn't come up with another charge.

This hotel committed the cardinal sin. The mattress and towels were dirty and stained. The elevator was also dirty. For these alone I would leave a one star review except the breakfast was decent. But I will still give a one star and here's why: there is no complimentary water in the room which is insane for 2024. But the lady at the desk gave me two bottles for free even though they cost $2. Two bucks for a single water! She apparently thinks the policy is ridiculous too. If you want to compete in the modern environment, do better, Holiday Inn. Water is a necessity, don't nickel and dime for it like you're a $50 a night roach motel. And cleanliness above all else.

If I could rate less than 1, I would. I called this hotel before beginning a trip from Cleveland Mississippi to Baton Rouge Louisiana, on their direct line through the CLC app and was transferred to the "reservation center " due to the clerk being busy with customers at the counter. The agent I was transferred to was very polite and quick, to make me a reservation. I informed the agent no less than 3 x that I would be using my CLC card That is corporate lodging corporation I am an electrician and travel all over 3 states. I stay in hotels 3-4 nights every week. (Typically has been Holiday Inn Express. Never had this problem, not even once before in 6 months. ) I made sure to inform the agent several times that this was a CLC reservation. I was assured it was no problem. However upon my arrival at this hotel after a long drive approximately 5 and a half hours later and dead tired, only then was I informed that there was a problem with my CLC reservation The clerk stated that she had " seen my reservation and texted her boss" And here is the rub... you "saw my reservation " you thought there was a problem... you "texted your boss" and you couldn't bother to call me, the customer and tell me that there was a problem with my reservation? Really? Seriously??? Another quote was that the hotel owner had experienced some problem getting paid from CLC and they were "renegotiating their CLC contract. Not sure about any of that... not my business but I would venture that I would have had many more problems staying in hotels 4 nights per week for the past 6 months if CLC were not paying their bills! The big point here is this hotel had my email and phone number from a CONFIRMED hotel reservation! They could have, SHOULD HAVE CALLED ME and indicated that there was a problem INSTEAD of waiting till I showed up dead tired to my EMAIL CONFIRMED RESERVATION to be DENIED A ROOM until I finally called a different hotel and got a room immediately and walked out! A subsequent communication sent to the hotel website feedback platform received absolutely NO RESPONSE as of the close of business the following day. CLC does receive discounted rates but considering that they are paying 4 nights per week most weeks is the primary reason. If the hotel owner is not happy with the CLC rates, then he's perfectly welcome to NOT TO DO BUSINESS with CLC and furthermore should remove his hotel from the CLC list! But that, however, is NO EXCUSE, for the TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL way in which I, the customer, was treated! This is the first time in my history of six months using CLC that I have been treated like this! I won't bother calling this hotel again EVER!!

The hotel has lots of parking and shares areas with three hotels around to allow for trailers. Inside was very clean and nice. Got my first room tv was not working and they immediately moved me too another room. Really nice rooms clean and well organized had the suite and the beds are pillow top and very comfortable. Nice big flat screen with loads of channels and soaps I. Shower where designer nice. Breakfast was free and a really good selection had eggs bacon oatmeal and grits bagel on side. Loved the hotel

No one answers at this hotel. I have been calling the number listed (225) 778-5722 for over a week with no answer. I have tried the Holiday Inn Main number 800) 293-0718 only to have them transfer me to a hotel that never answers. I believe this hotel is closed.

When I checked in, the person behind the desk was friendly and efficient. I had three interactions with him. Once when I checked in, once when I had to go down to get a towel and ask about the TV not working (no signal) and then once more when the poor guy, who was working by himself, had to come to my room to get the TV working. He smiled and was pleasant every time. That was refreshing. The hotel is showing its age and needs some cleaning and maintenance. When I got into my room, I noticed a missing electrical outlet cover right near the door and a bread tie on the floor. The carpet was stained (and hallway carpet stained as well), lots of hairs (including pubic hairs) on the bathroom floor, dirty bottom of toilet, only one bath towel (for two people), no bath mat towel, stained comforter, hairs on a pillow, crumbs on the chair, no signal on TV, dirty bathroom mirror, stained handtowel, dirty glass on big window, etc. The cleaning people really need to be trained better or someone needs to check behind them. I almost gave three stars for my review due to this. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The shower had good pressure once I turned the shower head to a different setting. I love the Dove brand soap, conditioner and shampoo. The air conditioner kept the room cold on a very hot and humid day. The view from the window was very pretty. The breakfast was pretty good, but the pancake machine didn't cook the pancakes enough, so we had to throw those away. There is coffee available all day. It would have been nice to get some decaf in the evening, but the decaf coffee is only available in the morning in the food area. I'll bet people would appreciate having decaf available later in the day. Overall, it was a good stay. The cleaning issues really need to be addressed both short-term between guests and long-term with the stained carpet and linens.

One of the better Holiday Inn Express. Staff was friendly, room was clean, fresh clean towels, standard complimentary breakfast, and plenty of parking in the back. The room had one King bed, and a separate living area with couch. A ton of food options nearby. Great value for the price!

Had a deal at Holiday Inn. The also had complimentary breakfast. Pretty good selection for breakfast. A lot of the food were packaged so you can bring it back to the room. Room was clean. My only complain was the towels. It had hairs on the towel. Made me wonder if it was even new towels. I used my own towels instead.
