Had lunch here. The Chinese decorations look nice. Server was enthusiastic. Large plates and tasted great.

The ambiance in this restaurant during a busy lunch hour is still comfortable and personable. You'd never know from the outside of the building what lies inside in this strip mall location. The decor is adorable! And for a table for 1, the little 2-top was perfect. Tiffany was my server and she was on it, even though it was obvious she had her hands full. But my drink was delivered promptly and she took the time to answer my questions about the items on the menu and provide her feedback on which side I should have with my meal. I thought I had died and gone to Heaven when I bit into a scallop in my Scallop Kew! Wonderful sauce, and the scallops were perfectly cooked and large, and there were about 8 scallops to this lunch order for $16.25. Vegetables in the meal were not soggy. Truly a delight, and no extra seasoning needed. (Interpretation: no soy sauce.) I had leftovers, because the lunch portion was huge, and it was still a very tasty meal. Combination fried rice had shrimp in it, which I don't eat, and shame on me for not asking, so I just picked them out. Same with the egg roll, which appears to be handmade and had lots of good crunchy cabbage in it as well. Also had a side of spring rolls, but they had that "not quite cooked on the inside skin" taste, though rarely do I find them cooked all the way through, so no surprise. The biggest disappointment to my visit was my fellow diners. I heard requests for to go items (extra packets of sauces) for their leftovers, bottled waters and sodas after they'd ordered just a fountain drink - though they kept their fountain drinks as well. Then there was the customer at the next table who had apparently been talking on her cell phone and a customer complained and the poor server had to ask her not to do so. You'd have thought this 20-something had been brought up with no manners. She argued with the server and STILL left talking on her phone ON SPEAKER! Puh-leez, people! I am so going back to this restaurant!

It's has lost its appeal. better customer service and pay attention to your customer. I would not be eating there anytime in the future.

Rice is great & appetizers are great, entrees are not for me. I grew up on general tso & sesame chicken. The chicken I got was not what i expected.

Terrible customer service the guy who answered the phone absolutely unprofessional. I've been coming here for over twenty years. Ordered sweet and sour shrimp came with no sauce and some dark sauce all over the chicken.

Fried Rice TOO SALTY !! Told my male Waiter and he offered white Rice. My wife ordered a Large Won Ton soup and I asked what's the difference in the large and the small and the Waiter said the large is twice as much. After asking for go plates I took the small soup bowl and filled it with water and poured it into the large soup bowl and it was literally almost the same !!! I showed our Waiter and he said it wasn't the same so I said maybe you missed something and I demonstrated filling the small bowl and pouring it into the large bowl again. It really is practically almost the same. Our Waiter is a Robot and didn't care, he said next time for me to order the small. Mandarin Chicken was good, gravy no taste and too salty. I will avoid Empress of China in the future. My Sister and her Group stopped eating here and now I know why.

The food is always tasty, fresh and hot. The service is great- very friendly. I always order takeout and they always get my order correct, even when I request changes.

Ate dinner here tonight for the wife and I, we previously visited here approximately 8 days ago and Tiffany remembered our order from our last visit. Tiffany will not allow your drink to get empty as she will ensure it is full through out your meal. Empress of China has great food for a reasonable price. Tiffany puts the service in customer service hands down. Tiffany has a very pleasant personality and is constantly has an upbeat work ethic. Tiffany you are a great asset to Empress of China.

Empress of China is a longtime family favorite. We've been getting takeout here for years, but it had been very long since I dined in. I went with friends on a Sunday evening. We were quickly sat and our server was very sweet. The portions were huge, our food came out quickly, and it tasted good. I would say that the quality of the food is typical for a westernized Chinese restaurant. They have the plates that you'd expect and good prices especially for how much food you get. I got the shrimp broccoli which surprisingly tastes better as takeout. I think this is because it steams in the takeout container, retaining more of the moisture. My friend's walnut shrimp looked incredible. I've had it as takeout and have been very satisfied. Other favorites that we get for takeout are the triple delight and the cho cho. The egg rolls are almost burrito sized. My only complaint is that our silverware was a little cloudy (my friend's had something hardened on hers) and needed a good scrubbing and the dining area is very dark. All in all, this is a good place for big portions of standard Chinese food at an affordable price.

Great food. Service is sometimes slow. Cho Cho's, Empress soup is wonderful. Sesame Chicken is to die for as well. It's made different them most restaurants, but it is delicious. And the sauce they give you for the top of it makes it even better. Two of us go for dinner and get an empress soup and one of the combination plates and we have plenty to take home for lunch the next day. They give you a lot of bang for your buck!
