Today, 11/10/2025, for the first time ever eating at Joe's Café, the Lapalco Boulevard location. I placed the order for the crawfish corn soup and oh my goodness. Out of sight out-of-pocket it is so delicious make you want to lick your fingers and go back for a second bowl. Thumbs up thumbs up to Joe's Café located on Lapalco Boulevard !

Service was good. The place was clean. I had an apple crumble donut. It was delicious. To me the hamburger steak was dry and plain tasting, but I will go there and buy some more donuts .

Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The coffee was extra hot and the breakfast at noon wood decent (chicken fried steak & eggs- a tad over fried for my liking ) to great (French toast). The strawberry stuff'd donut I took home was the best. Will definitely return and I will try a different breakfast.

I saw it posted, "Joe's knows donuts." Yes, Joe's knows donuts. I can walk in and get 1/2 doz mixed and be out in 5 min or less. Sit down? Forget it. Saturday morning (around 9A) we walked in and sat down for breakfast. STARVED! It took about 7 min for someone to greet us and bring us drinks. From there it didn't get any quicker. We placed our food order about 7 min later, then waited 30 min for our food to come out. Ironically, it came out in to go containers, because at that point, when we finished eating, we weren't going to wait for to go containers for leftovers. 3 egg build your own omelet was very good. I asked for 2 egg and it came out 2 egg size. Husband's Lena Bowl sunny side up looked great, except it wasn't very hot, as if it had sat in the back. I asked him to send it back, but he wouldn't. Toast came out for his order, but mine came out about halfway through my meal. Service: The people working were very nice and kept apologizing, but I could hear them verbalizing their frustration, and in the end it was shared they were overwhelmed and understaffed for all the in-house and Uber Eats and Door Dash orders, because they didn't have enough kitchen staff. While I understand you don't want to turn away business, some parameters around delivery service hours could be established, and/or extra staff specifically for Saturday morning or for delivery service orders might help. I know we will NEVER eat in breakfast at this location again, because when you're hungry, you're hungry, and we made the effort to get in our car and come to the location to eat. We did get a 1/2 doz mixed to go and enjoyed them at our home. The two stars is for the donuts, and the staff left in the trenches to handle this mess.

Donut shop is Dirty' and barely has donuts. Walked in at 4 am and asked for glaze donuts. Employees couldn't verbally respond. Rather just shakes her head "no".

The young lady was looking at me through the glass sipping and stirring her coffee. She finally arrived to the widow and proceeded to take my order. I ordered 2 glazed cream donuts. My total was $3.12 a bit high for 2 donuts. But what the hell, it was too late and I was hungry. I gave the girl a $5 bill and she literally shoved $1.88 in change in my hand. Well imma assume it was $1.88. I was so disgusted with her attitude I just threw the change in my wallet. I asked her if she had any dollars she just laughed and said "NO" mind you I've seen her give the car infront of me change and they had some dollar bills. You can't tell me that that this time of busy morning you have run out of dollar bills.. WHEN I SAY, I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT NOT EVER

I ordered 2 steak bagel over medium with pepper jack sauce on. I received 2 steak bagel over easy sauce on side and some other cheese. The order was correct on the receipt. Service sucks and can't read apparently. No car to exchange it. So I stuck with it and hormonal. So I'm nOt eating mine. Def not a good vibe. Place looks dingy as well. Def a waste of money.
