I've been a PJ's customer for over 20 years--my family gives me gift cards for birthdays because they know how much I enjoy it. But at the 509 Veterans Blvd, Metairie, LA store, I ordered a simple iced tea with "easy ice" and was charged $5.50 instead of the usual $3.50. The barista claimed it was due to an "extra product" charge for less ice--something I've never heard of or seen posted. When I questioned it politely, the barista (young woman with purple hair) didn't care, didn't apologize, and made no effort to escalate or make things right. It was just "that's the rule." Between the surprise charge and the attitude, I left disappointed and disrespected. PJ's needs to clearly post any hidden charges and train staff to handle situations with more empathy.

Great service but horrible tasting decaf coffee. The turkey sandwich was also not very good to me. First time at any PJ's and it will certainly be my last. Not much of a fan. I've always passed by their stores and now I see it was for good reason. Always trust your gut lol. That aside, I really want to thank the morning staff for being friendly. It's difficult getting great service these days and although the one lady had bags under her eyes, I was grateful she showed up and had a pleasant attitude. Kudos to her and yes, I left a tip :)

This is the third time I waited at the drive through for 10 mins and got no response. Went to the window and they said "go back around we don't take orders from this window" Can't waste my time here anymore.

Used the drive through Paid with a card , had to sign a printed bill so they can beg for a tip. Omitted the tip and they omitted the whip cream after asking twice if I wanted it added.

This PJ's is super convenient to those of us who live near the end of Vets. The parking lot is large so no trouble finding a spot, which can be an issue when you haven't had your morning java jolt yet. On this visit I had a turkey sausage, egg white and cheese breakfast sandwich and loved it. It was filling, delicious, and piping hot. The service was wonderful and the place was sunny and spotless. It's a winner.

While I'm out of town or even in my own hometown it's my things to try different coffee places everywhere. So while In Louisiana we passed a pj location elsewhere but when it came to actually trying one we came across this location an tried it out. Went to the drive thru and the woman taking the orders was rude and rushed through our orders without repeating them back. Got it to the window and the actual gentleman taking out money and giving out the drinks had a positive attitude. The rushing during ordering caused us to get a wrong drink. When we tasted one of the 3 drinks after pulling off it was incorrect and we were too far to turn back.

Nice location. Easy to get in and out. They are not open early enough in the morning on days I have to actually go in to work. The coffee is good. They are often sold out of baked goods by mid-afternoon. Friendly employees. Wi-fi is adequate. Inside is neat and clean. In the drive thru there is some difficulty understanding the employees. Like they are not loud enough.

First of all, I'm vegan so I don't do regular milk.. EVERYTIME I go to this location they are messing up my order. Another problem, don't know the girls name but she rushes u when placing a order, that's her problem. Instead of taking her time and listening to the order she's rushing u and not listening. Don't go thru the drive thru, may leave disappointed. RUDE FOR NOTHING.

The drive through speaker hasn't worked properly in over a year, which has caused repeated order issues. I've gotten the wrong order 10 days in a row now. When they repeat your order back wrong, and you correct them, some of the staff get all snippy with you. And don't get me started on the burnt pastries. This place has not been the same since the pandemic.

In the world of chain coffee shops, PJ's is one of my favorites. I love coffee. In particular, I love iced coffee. I find that it is the most efficient form of caffeine delivery system available. Since it is cold, I can consume it rather rapidly, allowing me to function. I pass this location frequently, but had never been here due to their operating hours. It seems I am always driving by before 6:00 a.m. so I am forced to try the Starbucks across the street. On a recent trip out of town, it was finally my chance to try PJ's. The employees at this location were amazingly friendly. It was obvious they enjoyed their jobs, and they made me feel welcome. The iced coffee was very good and ranks second on my list of great iced coffee (Mojo in NOLA is my favorite). My only complaint is that their large size doesn't seem large enough. When drinking iced coffee, I want as much as humanly possible so my body can awaken and get through the day. Note: If seeking maximum effectiveness, don't add anything, but maybe sweetener to the coffee. Milk or fancy additives take away from coffee's primary purpose.
