There are pros and cons of this hotel. The lobby looks very interesting; they kept part of the original building of a historic molasses factory. It is very convenient and cheaper than downtown hotels. You can walk to French quarter (30mins), mall or WW2 museum. There are good restaurants nearby too. About prices, this is not against Mariott, but the final bill has so many taxes from city of NOLA. $130 a night ending up to be $200 a night. Valet parking is very expensive. $45 a day. I wish I can just park it myself. They need to tint their window, hallway is warm from summer heat. Another problem is that some staffs mumble when they talk. If you grew up in the south you can understand them but for foreign tourists might have a tough time.

The dinning room/lobby room has a unique and authentic New Orleans vibe. The bartender Titus who brings the uptown vibes to the downtown area. Welcoming vibes to the quite side of New Orleans

Rather than accept responsibility for overbooking the hotel and finding accommodations or me, they cancelled my reservation. My credit card was charged - which they thought was fraud and declined the charge. I immediately called the hotel and they refused to reinstate my reservation because they were overbooked and my card declined. Why they didn't charge my credit card at the time of me making the NON REFUNDABLE reservation that they confirmed. The person on the call made it clear they were overbooked and they were instructed to cancel all reservations that didn't go through on a first time. The city is completely booked due to a large conference happening that weekend so finding hotels in the area of the conference is not possible. Very disappointing way to deal with their poor reservation system by trying to make me at fault for this issue.

Convenienently located, 2 blocks from NO conference center and River Rock Outlets. Great location to shops, restaurants and sites. Loved it; however, hotel is under renovations, no restaurant, no bar area. All rooms appeared standard, yet comfortable. My room was smelly. Although cleaning happens every other day, it never happened while I and others were there 4 nights. Friendly, reasonably priced compared to the Bayarea.

This was not the hotel I originally booked for my visit to NOLA, but when the one I had planned on staying in didn't have a room for me when I arrived, I sure was glad that this Courtyard had space available to take me and my family in on short notice. The room was relatively clean, the beds comfortable and the location within walking distance of many of the things we planned on doing in town. I appreciated that the staff brought us a portable fan when I requested one through the mobile app (my son needs white noise to sleep and the fan was perfect!). A couple small complaints-we were awoken one morning at 6am to a fire alarm. It lasted maybe five minutes, then stopped. There was no fire or explanation of what happened. The drain in our bathtub was also severely backed up. We left a note for housekeeping, but our room was never made up (I'm assuming due to Covid). I should have requested service through the app, but didn't want to be a nuisance. They do have onsite parking, but it's very limited. We didn't rent a car, so didn't need to use it-but I understand that when the lot is full, you have to pay to park elsewhere. You might want to take that into account when booking. But as I see, that's how it is everywhere here-parking is sparse. Overall, it was a fine stay. I'm not sure I'd say it was my favorite property, but it took care of us when we needed a place to stay.

For our first trip to Mardi Gras, we selected this location based on the short-notice we had to book the trip. You would expect late-breaking reservations to yield less than adequate or unimpressive results, but that is NOT the case. The general manager and the staff here are high-level performers, especially under significant pressure with Mardi Gras in town. This hotel specializes in being a hotel, nothing else. The bistro-style area which only opens for breakfast and brunch is really nothing to get excited about. However, the rooms are perfectly clean and spacious. Mardi Gras can overwhelm most staffs in New Orleans, but NOT this ONE! They are prepared for almost any question or request. For the money, you can't beat this place. Tom E.

So I booked a room at this hotel in November of 2024 for NYE. I specifically chose it for the Exposed brick loft style hotel rooms that were shown in the pictures on the app. I'm an avid Traveler and I enjoy staying at hotels with a non traditional style room. I called the hotel twice prior to arrival to check on some things with my reservation and confirm mobile check-in availability. TWICE. I arrive to the hotel to find the lobby a hard hat construction zone with off limit signs to the stairs. So I immediately know, there wont be any room services available. We get into the room, very beautiful room, just like the pictures, only to find the heat doesn't work. Call to the front desk, engineering comes up with checks and tells us that it will have to be switched on in the morning because the units were in the attic and they didn't have access (whatever that meant) so he came back with extra blankets. So the first night we froze, needless to say. The next day we're informed it can't be fixed and we being moved to another room, Cool? WRONG. We weren't told what type of room or whether or not it was comparable. We were just delivered keys 30 minutes later and told a new room number. We were indeed moved to a room half the size and a completely different design that what was displayed on the app or my reservation. (No proactive inconvenience accommodations offered). We were then informed we could only have the heat OR air operational but not both at the same time so we had to call down every few hours because the room didn't ventilate well and the other person found it hard to breathe. When I inquired about being credited at least a night because of this inconvenience I was met with "we're at capacity" and all I can do is 5k points which isn't even enough to cover one nights stay. In addition to this, we got stuck on an elevator and when I informed the front desk staff, the desk agent casually responded "oh yea that happens" EXCUSE ME, ma'am why are you so cavalier about elevators getting stuck? I booked THREE nights in a specific type of room only to not enjoy it the first night because of frigid temps and no heat only to be moved to a shoe box of a room the last two nights and still not enjoy the room, and only receive house keeping 1 of 3 days of my stay. I'm still waiting for a response from the hotel however, I would highly encourage you to do you due diligence before staying here. I think anyone in our position would have been extremely perturbed if you were mislead

I honestly expected more from a Marriott Hotel. I understand New Orleans isn't the best place and may not have the best hotels but having a room with a broken heater in January is a huge problem. The free included breakfast was not available. The lobby was being renovated. This is not a hotel I will ever stay at again. The pictures online are not what you get.

We stay at a lot of Marriott (Titanium status) and Hilton (Diamond status) hotels (about 1/3 of the year) due to work so we know what to expect with each branch and each of our status levels. First, My husband really liked the parking at this particular location due to the fact that they had room for his lifted truck and it was covered. The building is old, the pool is old and needs major attention. No water or lotion is provided in the rooms and when I asked for our two free water bottles they said they didn't have any. Nigh staff and management was lacking..They wouldn't give us extra pillows the night we checked in because they didn't have any either. We asked for our late check out and they told us noon. (we get guaranteed 4 PM check out because of our status) this is not a resort hotel so it's not like it was subject to availability. (Believe me I know the rules and all of our perks) you don't waste tens and thousands of dollars a year on hotels not to take a vantage of your perks. The staff is night and day. Literally the night staff wasn't accommodating or helpful at all, couldn't be bothered. I called the front office in the morning to inquire about late checkout and the lady said "sure, how late would you like?" I said 4 pm, she said no problem as well as she sent lotion to my room. So I guess it depends on the staff the type of service you get.

Let me add my one star review to the others. This is a true account of my experience at this property. I had a reservation for one night, and in that one 24 hour period, I encountered staff that were rude and dismissive, an attempt on the hotel to not only pre-authorize more money than they were entitled to, but they tried to authorize even MORE charges while I was there - to the tune of over $250 FOR A $68 STAY, to a room smelling like mildew. I spoke to one of the managers there, and gave her an account of everything that happened. The room smelling like mildew alone should be enough to warrant a refund, but when I told her about the attitude of the staff, she just made a note of it, and said that she could "refund $20 and negotiate with Marriott for a better rate." And tried to use the City of New Orleans as an excuse for the mildew room. Sorry, I've stayed in PLENTY of other hotels not only in New Orleans when it has been over 100 degrees out, but in other humid climate all over the world, and sorry, NONE of them had that smell, including the Hyatt that I'm staying in now, in the middle of a thunderstorm (so more humidity). I absolutely do not recommend this property. Absolutely not. Unless you enjoy staying in a room smelling like mildew and dealing with staff that are just rude and don't GAF. AT ALL.
