It's a local gallery of art and furniture in a warehouse. Come by early or late as if is in an un-air condition space. A bit on the pricey side for me, however very cool things.

God, I love this place. Back in the day, I spent any and all extra money on furniture from Discoveries on Magazine Street. I do believe this store is related to the original. If you're looking for conversation pieces, this is your store. Think: Southeast Asian style furniture, solid, distressed wood, sometimes colored in neutral tones (white washed) or beautiful colors (red, turquoise), often with iron accents, look no further. Then there's the creative restoration pieces, the couch or coffee table made of an old VW grill. Recycle. upcycle. The craftsmanship is admirable. Then there's art that lines the wall. New Orleans treasures, paintings, photographs, prints, sculpture (a light made from a clarinet!) and more. And a zillion decorative drawer handles and doorknobs. Come to Disco for coffee tables, dressers, huge armoires... or small gifty type things. It's also a pleasurable way to spend an afternoon. These pieces are all so unique and are everything you could ever want, especially if you're into beautiful imports or the rustic, some might say, shabby chic look.

We LOVE Disco Warehouse! Cool vibe in this very large space filled with gorgeous, vivid, local art (which is mostly originals) on the walls mixing with unique pieces of salvaged wood furniture from abroad filling up every inch of floor space. My art on local architectural salvaged (think reclaimed doors, cypress shutters, slate roof tiles) looks amazing here, but would look even better in your home!

Pandemic Review: This is truly a warehouse with wide open doors on the Sunday that I visited so dress accordingly. Of course, that means that it feels a bit safer these days with the super tall ceiling and the feeling of being outdoors. Masks are required and hand sanitizer was supplied, FYI. They've also been hosting art markets in their backyard on weekends in December which is great. Some of the vendors were new to me and it's always fun to discover new work. The furniture inside is mostly BIG pieces or maybe that's just what they have at the moment. And they have a custom furniture shop so if you need a specific piece for a weird nook, I'm sure they could hook you up. Make sure to check out the crazy cactus garden in the yard!

Cool spot to look for unique rustic chic artsy pieces. There's plants and pots to buy in the back outside and it's just a refreshing take on new super unique pieces for your house and art that's made and sourced locally.
