STAY AWAY! i booked a room and bed was barely made. Removed the blanket and there was a HUGE stain right in the middle. Sheets were dingy as well. Asked for new linens and was given a top sheet and 2 towels and was told they had no more. Decided not to stay but he offered us another room. Same problem..nasty stains on the bed sheets. What kind of place is this?? Got our money back and ran!

I'm not sure what others experience were but, I stayed two nights first one in case I agreed with others but I found it clean, the bed was clean and comfortable and had clean towels and soap and shampoo. It was perfect for me and I stayed in room 110 and when I return I will be back rather than paying $100+ for a room near the French quarter that I won't be in most of the time. I heard some loud people in the morning but the hotel was clean and comfortable and it was PERFECT for $60-$70 so if you all want luxury pay for luxury and if you all want inexpensive to have more to spend then keep your YAPS SHUT and remember it's called ECONO LODGE not the Hilton!!

The bad reviews are funny, I don't know what these people were expecting for $98 a night in New Orleans East. I for one was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We ended up booking this room because it was the closest we could get to Bourbon Street that wasn't $250-350 a night. We knew we were taking a risk, but the hotel was actually not bad at all. The front desk employees were very friendly, the grounds weren't too shabby, the room was nice and clean, and even the breakfast, which was only toast, muffins, grits, fruit, cereal, coffee and juice was perfect after a night of drinking! I will definitely stay here again!

This place is the worst place I have ever been to. The room was so terrible that we decided to go else where. We showed up for our scheduled reservation for our 3 day stay. When we got there we asked the front desk lady if we could see the room before checking in. Thank God we did. As soon as you walked into the room you could already feel how dirty it was. We decided to check the beds before hand and to no surprise there were spiders crawling all over. We decided to tell the front desk about the situation and she stated that we would not be charged for the day but that she needed to verify with her manager. We did book through a third party so we called and they said that it's up to the hotel if they wanted to charge us but that they themselves were not going to. So we called the hotel back and it has been 2 weeks since this has happened and still no refund no credit no nothing. They stated since they had over 100 plus reservations that weekend, that they would not refund us the money. Very rude customer service. Manager is never there. Unacceptable that this hotel is even running considering how disgusting everything is. Don't waste your money and go else where. Wish I could give zero stars to this place.

The room next room has what looks like repaired bullet holes in the door. There is mold in in the corner of the bath tub. They didn't vacuum the rugs when there was stuff on it and there was a long hair and an empty soap package on the bathroom floor. Loud music and talk late and early. The clerk is less than interested in unlocking the door in the morning for breakfast. There was a huge rain last stay and the street in front was flooded and I couldn't even get in the place. This room has feather flat pillows, don't like that. Time to find somewhere else.

As Choice Hotels go this one is fairly beat up and thread-bare. I'm rarely disappointed with Choice, but now and then obviously stay at one run by someone from a culture of thrift and indifference to quality. I wouldn't bother to spend the time to review this place, but "breakfast" was the last straw. Orange juice? Some ancient orange coloring in tepid water? Disgusting. I would be ashamed were I involved with this company, especially considering the quality and value of most other Choice (I'm a rewards member) properties.

Okay, I understand some of my fellow travelers want to save a buck. I will also concede that we didn't pay to stay here, my daughters dad used points for our room so I have no idea how much it costs BUT it can not be much less than $99 and I found a great hotel on hotels.com for $99 that did NOT have the risk of getting mugged or the car possibly not being there when we woke up, wet socks, dead bugs in bed or cigarette burns on the coverlet. This place is filthy. We were on the second floor and the area in front of the door was wet. There is no water source there ??? There were dead fleas and other winged bugs in the bed. The area is super sketchy. Do you really think this is a good idea "for the money"? I must place more value on my safety and that of my family because it was free for us and I couldn't get out of here fast enough.

In the middle of refurnishing, so it was a bit run down. I would have given a one-star except: We had left some items in our room after we checked out, but upon our return the manager had graciously bagged them for us.
