We visited this hotel for Essence Fest. The customer service was good. I really appreciated the fresh lime water in the lobby. The hotel is centrally located to the Superdome, the convention center and Bourbon street . The room was clean. The pillows could be replaced. The staff were kind and helpful. A hotel shuttle is not offered but the front desk has quick access to a taxi. Breakfast is offered each morning and we enjoyed it. The options are cereal, oatmeal, bacon, boiled eggs and bagels.

The hotel is in a great location. It is not far from Decatur, which is a pretty huge thorough affair. It is also not exceedingly far from Bourbon Street. The lobby is really beautiful. I love the rich blue upholstery on the furniture as well as the darker wood that is used throughout. There's a pretty cool sculpture of wind instruments located just behind the receptionist at the host desk. The rooms are pretty spacious. But then again, that is depending on the configuration. If you get a room that has two king size beds, which let's face it, is rare in itself.... Expect that you will have very little walking space between the beds and the TV and the restroom. Initially, I booked us for a two king bedroom because my kiddo loves to spread out like a starfish when they sleep. While that was all fun and dandy, it was difficult to enter the restroom just because of where the restroom was in relationship to the front door. When you enter the room from the front door, you're pushing that door directly into the bathroom door space. It was very cramped. I did not like that. Especially because my kiddo requires a wheelchair, this set up was not gonna work. Luckily we were able to change our rooms. We eventually checked out for other rooms. We finally decided on room 736. That was probably the best decision that we could've made for ourselves. That particular room is one that is configured in such a way that there's just the perfect amount of space for all of our belongings as well as my little ones wheelchair. We had more than enough space. If it is available and you are able to, request room 736. It is conveniently located just around the corner from the elevator. The bathroom is gorgeous. I think you will appreciate the amount of space that is in there. Let me not forget to mention those two, like I said, we checked out like six other rooms before making our decision. I am amazed, but so thankful and grateful that the staff here at the hotel were able to help us to make a better decision on our room type since the one that I initially had booked, it was not gonna work out for us. They were so sweet. I believe the name of the girl up at the front who is assisting us for most of our stay was named Jo. She was awesome. We always loved making conversation with her as we would very frequently come and go from our room to all different parts of the city. She had a lot of suggestions for us as far as places to check out and to eat. My husband and I always appreciate that. She did admit to us, however that she comes into the city for work. She does not stay in the area. So she didn't have as many suggestions as we might've liked, but she did have a few. Whenever we had housekeeping needs, like making request for extra towels and things, these items were delivered quickly. We never had any problems. This hotel does parking but by valet only. I believe it was about an extra $41 per day. The valet guys are very friendly. They never Are pushy about tip. Although, we did tip them $20 each day. Breakfast here was really good. On one day we had eggs and waffles and bacon and sausage as well as the usual cold cereals, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, and that sort of thing. Each day there was always a good variety of yogurt and milk available juice was always available. Infused waters were always available in the lobby throughout the day with cups right next to them. There's a microwave in the lobby. He do have a small refrigerator in your room. We always over order food whenever we go out so it was great to have plates utensils and a microwave downstairs so that we could always reheat food as necessary. I vaguely remember on another morning having breakfast downstairs in the lobby and it consisted of a small soufflé with Green onions or chives. But either way, it was really good. In fact, the breakfast here is actually pretty good. Unless you're going out for something very specific I would say that this hotel offers a darn good breakfast and it is very much worth every penny that you were paying in your hotel fees. Would I stay here again? Definitely. Do I think that the room rate that I received was reasonable? Yes. We had so much space. Did I feel safe staying in a hotel in this location of the city? Yes it is far enough away from the bustling strip area and Bourbon Street. I felt safe, walking down the block even in the evening. Is there a pool? No Do they have laundry facilities? Yes. Definitely get a lot of quarters because drying your clothes requires a lot more money than you think. Do they have ice machine machines? Yes. They are located on the third and fifth floor. Follow the signs. Those are a bunch of the questions that people have asked me about our stay here at this hotel. I let people know that I would try and address everything in my Yelp review. We had a fairly decent stay at this Fairfield in downtown just a walking distance from French Quarter. Since it's located on the side of Canal st. nights were quiet. Helpful front desk and decent breakfast offerings. No complaints from our 2 nights stay here.

Brian was super helpful at check-in. What an awesome guy. It's in walking distance to so many places, there's free breakfast. The rooms are nice and very spacious. The beds are so comfortable, I have non-fathered pillows, and I love that they're firm. The staff here is all completely nice. Everyone is so great here. The dislikes the breakfast and all that and the lighting in the bathroom is trash.

This hotel is located about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street which is exactly what we wanted. It is a nice walk every morning and there was still a lot around the hotel. The lobby is very inviting and spacious with lots of seating. They have a free hot breakfast every morning. Rooms are spacious with a microwave and fridge and small counter area. However, the bathroom area, although the sink and vanity counter were outside of the actual bath tub and shower was a tight fit. The walls and windows were pretty thin and you can hear sirens, lots of talking in the hallway just lots of noise but it's Nola so you understand that people are late. The elevators were the problem one went down while we were there, and the other needed some maintenance and shook from the moment you walked in to the time you walked out on your floor. Each time we held our breath, hoping that this wasn't the one time that the elevator was gonna break down with us in it. The staff was, however, super friendly, and always greeted us every time we walked in and left for the day.

A refurbushed hotel nesstled in downtown New Orleans located minutes from the French Quarter and Bourbon St. The staff was friendly and attentive. There was a slight hiccup upon check-in but it was handled expediently. Otherwise, check-in was smooth. The lobby was spacious with large windows looking out onto the street, which felt like an oversized living room or a den. I didn't get to actually appreciate this space until we were waiting to retun home. The room was basic and quaint. We opted for 2 queen beds, so the room seemed smaller but it met all our basic needs. Pros: Walking distance to Canal and Bourbon streets Many restaurants in walking distance Spaciaous shower Desk with a chair A bench to set a put shoes on Vanity outside the bathroom (if you know, then you know) Cons: No widow view (windows faced other high rise buildings) Noisy (especially in the middle of the night) Carpet (I have allergies and I could smell the carpet) No Ice in the Ice machine Overall, we would definately stay here again........Clean.....Very affordable, not too far from everything but close enough to walk to many things. We enjoyed our stay........

Stayed 1 night (overnight) at this hotel. Conveniently located near French Quarter and NOLA Warehouse District. Room was clean and properly maintained. Staff provide average service but did not went extra miles in checking how's our stay. Complimentary Breakfast (with Hot Items - Sandwiches) was decent.

We had several guests stay at the Fairfield recently for a wedding, and it was a great experience! The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful, and everyone had a great time. Our guests especially loved how the hotel was close enough to the French Quarter and the streetcar that they could easily go out and explore the city, but they weren't so close that it felt noisy and claustrophobic. It was the perfect location! I want to give a special shout out to Danielle Caeser, the Sales Manager at the Fairfield, for being so accommodating with our room requests and so helpful throughout the wedding planning process. I also want to thank Ciara at the front desk (whose last name I unfortunately don't have!) for being so incredibly kind to all our guests. They loved her! We'll definitely be keeping the Fairfield in mind for any future visitors we have in New Orleans.

The front lobby was extremely clean for a older hotel. The rooms were a good size and everything was clean. The staff are extremely friendly, and helpful. They have valet parking, that will keep you car till 4pm if you wanted to walk around the city, and the hotel will keep your luggage save for you while you walk around the city. The breakfast for a hotel was also really good. If you want to stay downtown I recommend this place.

Fantastic one night stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites New Orleans Downtown/French Quarter. We had little interaction with staff beyond the front desk, but the woman who checked us in was friendly and extremely helpful, especially because we had unique parking situation with the vehicle we drove in. The hotel and our room were clean and well-maintained. As others have noted, it's apparent the building had been renovated into its current iteration, but Marriott and the staff have done an excellent job of keeping the lobby and rooms modern and comfortable. Our room was spacious and we appreciated how there was plenty of counter space as well as a minifridge for our leftovers. The hotel does offer a free breakfast in the morning for guests, though as foodies, we opted out of their breakfast to try the city's local fare. From what we observed, there was a mix of hot/fresh breakfast options alongside items like cereal and pastries. There was staff present to ensure the breakfast area remained stocked and presentable. There also seemed to be ample seating to dine with your party. The location of this hotel also can't be beat! An easy to walk to local eateries and the French Quarter. We felt safe at all times in which our stay had us walking in both the evening hours and early morning hours. Without a doubt, we would book again at the Fairfield Inn & Suites New Orleans Downtown/French Quarter the next time we are in town. We had a pleasant, comfortable, and safe stay with no regrets. Looking forward to our return to NOLA soon and are happy to have a solid place we can rely on upon our next visit.
