Great Location and Comfortable Stay Fantastic location--right on the same road where the parades happen! It's close to several restaurants and set in a really cool neighborhood. The streetcar also runs right along the same street, making it easy to get around. The King Studio Suite is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax. If you love soft pillows, you'll be in heaven here--though I do wish there were a mix of soft and firm options. The room includes a microwave, small fridge, and a whirlpool bathroom with double sinks, which is a nice touch. The desk is large and perfect if you need extra workspace. The fitness center is small but adequate for the hotel's size, and the pool is on the smaller side as well. Free breakfast in the morning is sufficient, and parking is just $20 per day, which isn't bad at all for the area. Overall, a great stay in a convenient location with plenty of comfort and value.

Located at the edge of Garden District and in front of the No. 12 streetcar line, it served our transportation needs well. Our room and bathroom were clean, but a little outdated. Microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker were available in the room. WiFi, AC, and water pressure were good. Free breakfast was the usual Hampton fares, not bad. A grocery store, convenient stores, many restaurants were within a 15 minutes walk. Grand houses lined this part of St Charles Avenue. Mrs and I had a blast walking around the neighborhood sightseeing the houses. Employees were friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again with our next New Orleans visit.

I've stayed at many hotels- from Marriott's to Hilton's, but this probably is one of my favorites. I love how my room had photographs- which is very New Orleans because this place is known for their beautiful art and culture. The hotel was also designed very nicely and the free breakfast had a lot of options: eggs, cereal, waffle, oatmeal! It was also very affordable for what it was, and very close to everything. I would definitely come back.

Disgusting. Dirty. AC vents have mildew in them, whole room smells like mildew. Shower is gross with scum and mildew.

I just stayed here for 5 nights. Asked for room service just once (the desk personnel asks you how often you want room service) during my stay. Towels were replaced etc. Bed was made, but sheets were not changed. When I checked in I noticed that although the bedding smelled fresh and did not look soiled, the sheets and pillow cases were NOT ironed ! How does a guest know if sheets are changed, when the process of ironing has been done away with?

1) Power outage one day and no AC and I had to use the stairs to leave hotel from 5th floor, it was resolved when I got back to hotel. 2) Check out is at 11:00 am and at 10:50 there was a knock on the door asking if I was checking out. When I told the man it was only 10:50 and why asking, he said he didn't speak English. I was getting my things together and another knock at 11:00 am asking me to leave the room by maid. I'm sixty years old and stayed at a lot of hotels and that's never happened. Weird harassment.

This hotel needs to be subject to serious scrutiny. 1. When I returned in the evening, my room had not been cleaned. 2. When I first arrived, I struggled to connect to the internet. Turns out that I was given the wrong instructions. 3. The food that is available for sale is a junk food galore. Has management not heard of healthy snacks? Tremendously disappointing experience all around! Maybe it was my unlucky day but...

So far not so good... I've gone to the front desk to ask for water. Was asked my Honors status... silver. He said "I'll do it this one time." Question should be where was water at checkin?? Lackluster.

I stayed here for a week, and I did a lot of research on this hotel, and others, because I wanted a hotel with free breakfast, easy accessibility to the airport and downtown, cleanliness, and of course, affordability. This one hits them all well. I saw one review about cockroaches found in a room. I did a sweep of the room upon check in and found none. To be safe, I kept my suitcase and backpack off the floor, which you should do to minimize the likelihood of them getting in things. The breakfast is normally pretty good. Sometimes the pre-made omelettes were cold though. Also, a lack of fruit options made it hard. They could be rather slow as well getting everything out. The room was comfortable - save for the fact there was always a relatively loud groan from the mini fridge. Bathroom was generally clean, except the shower was a bit dirty. The location is sublime, as the St. Charles streetcar runs literally outside the hotel and there are two stops walking distance from the hotel. It also only takes about 20 minutes to get from the hotel to downtown, sometimes slower or faster, but it generally was 20 minutes. It is walking distance from Magazine St, another popular spot in the Garden District. By the way, the Garden District is lovely with all the beautiful homes. It is also relatively quiet. That helped a lot during those nights I just wanted peace and quiet. Speaking of lovely, I want to point out one of the front desk clerks, Alexia. I think Alexia represents the hotel well. Patient, honest, and down to earth. She gave me great recommendations for where to eat and what to do in this city, and even what not to do. I knew very little about this city before my arrival, and being a northerner in a southern city is always a challenge, but she made it flawless and easy. She never took the easy road, despite the many times she could have, and that is why I feel she deserves my praise, and I let her know of this several times during my stay. Thank you Alexia, you earned it. If I return to New Orleans, I will not hesitate to stay here.

This was a great spot for our first visit in New Orleans as we were passing through during our military move. The lady at the front desk was great, efficient, and friendly. Breakfast was good, plenty of towels in the rooms, and very clean. Our biggest concern was the parking lot but the facility did provide some security and the card key system does add some extra confidence as well. Pantry had good options, they offer snack perks and diamond member parking spots at this location. Highly recommend!
