This hotel is good for what it serves...a place to sleep, shower, and start your day with a casual breakfast. It's located off the street car route and in walking distance to the French Quarter. Not many fast food near, but again can walk several blocks to establishments. Parking is $25 nightly located in the Tulane Health Center. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

I don't understand why so many people have issues with this hotel. The front desk staff was nothing but amazing this whole trip. I was able to talk and joke with almost everyone including the security guards who are there to make sure random people from off the street don't come in and use the hotels amenities. Our room was clean enough. Other than a towel that had a stain on it (which we just put to the side and requested more towels) we had no issues with this room. Parking was par for the course for New Orleans. There's a parking garage behind/beside the hotel, and one or two open public lots that you can pay for. There's no valet because this is not a luxury hotel. It's a nice hotel, but if you want luxury service then spend the extra dollar and buy it. Don't bash a standard hotel for being exactly that- standard. There's nothing wrong with the elevators. Both were operational during our stay, and the gap between the floor of the elevator and the floor of the hotel is only about an inch and a half wide. As long as you watch your step (which you should be doing anyway when you get on an elevator) you'll be fine. The hotel breakfast was exactly what you might expect from a hotel. Premade bagels, muffins, and scones, as well as the classic cereal bar. There were also hot trays with chicken sausage, biscuits, gravy, and mini omelets. They have a waffle iron, and a mini toaster for the bread and bagels. It wasn't amazing food, but if that's what you're looking for then again- spend the extra dollar and go luxury. All in all ever had no issue with this hotel. It's a standard Hampton Inn. The location is perfect, the rooms were comfortable and clean, parking was very easy to figure out, and it was a good price for a four day trip. This isn't a luxury hotel, but it's a good one.

Staff was very nice, location is great, especially for walking to the sites in and around the French Quarter. Th hotel could use work. Definitely can see the buildings age. Our room had a lot of issues, started with a fridge that didn't work , several outlets didn't work and phone didn't work (it was never repaired). Our room was not cleaned the first day after being told by the check-in staff it would be cleaned daily. We never received clean towels until we returned from dinner and called to complain that we still didn't have towels. They told us earlier in the day they couldn't give us clean towels because they were all being washed. They promoted their bar on their website. It was pitiful at best. I wouldn't choose this hotel again, sadly because the location was great.

So far Malica has been amazing we came early about 12ish checkin was at 4pm. Unfortunately we weren't feeling great. So we hung-out in the lobby. As soon as our room was ready Malica checked us in. I really liked the look of the hotel looked different than a standard Hampton. The elevators had a cute title. The room is a 2 bed standard very clean. I checked with my cleaning kit. Has a microwave fridge coffeemaker. It has a tub and all shower amenities like shower gel shampoo conditioner lotion. We were in Europe and had to buy this stuff. The beds were very comfortable i had a great night sleep. My room looks really nice it may have just been renovated. Close to canal trolley $1.25 for a ride. Mr bubbles cafe is across the street great place for sandwiches and soup and boba. Walgreens is not a far walk it was overpriced the next block is CVS.

Location and price for January is hard to beat, only a few blocks from bourbon street and hundreds of restaurants. Staff was helpful and other guests were welcoming. Definitely would stay here again.

My friend and I chose this hotel because we wanted to be close to restaurants and tourist attractions in the French quarter. The location is great however the service was horrible. I called and requested housekeeping to come on our second day. They told me housekeeping early but would come the next day. The next day came, and no housekeeping. They brought fresh towels both days but no housekeeping service from Sunday - Wednesday. The manager made excuses and said it was a language barrier. Towels and trash piled up from Sunday - Wednesday. We emptied the trash ourselves the first day. The shower is so small you can barely turn around in it. This hotel is the bare basics. The breakfast was not very good either. The sausage patties were floating in grease. They had apples and oranges, cold cereal and a waffle bar. They had overcooked grits, stale pastries. I will admit the waffles and coffee were good. I'm just disappointed at the whole experience. The hotel lobby area is very small. Manager refunded one night and gave Hilton Honors points. This hotel has so much potential but it fell short. I would not stay here again.

December 8, 2024. The Shower in 1108 wasn't even cleaned. No telling when it's been cleaned properly. I didn't dare take a shower. Just nasty .

Probably the worst Hampton Inn breakfasts- the reason we stay at Hampton Inn is to save money on breakfast but it needs to be good. This is a historic building with slow elevators that have very aggressive doors- watch your fingers! The staff were very nice. Location is great easy to get anywhere- street car right out front. We had room 410- king bed- about three feet off the ground and very little floor space and no dresser drawers. No pool either.

This is an below average hotel at best. The breakfast was great, rooms were nice, bathrooms were small. The worst part was the front desk person working Sunday evening March 16, 2025. This young man was lazy, inattentive, had a very rude attitude and was no help to the hotel guests. If in New Orleans, skip this hotel
