Under advisement from my insurance company I went with Hertz Rent A Car because they are to have cheaper prices than other rental places. Which I was down for because I wasn't trying to come out of pocket with any overage while my vehicle was being repaired. Pros: Location is convenient because I live in the neighborhood. Management was nice and pleasant...arranged to have me picked up from body shop and dropped me off at home when i returned the rental. Car was brand new (less than 1,000 miles) and cleaned before I left. Management did call/text to ensure everything was okay and alerted me when my rental was due to expire before i would have to pay out of pocket. Cons: Understaffed...so there could possibly be a wait and/or no cars clean or available when you arrive. Car types may not be equivalent to the size and/or model of car you drive for insurance reimbursement. I drove a Nissan Altima...they gave me a Ford Focus. I hear the lakefront location has better cars and they don't like to send decent vehicles to the NOE location. All in all my experience was pleasant. I survived, but I may consider going to the Lakefront location to get a better vehicle in the future.

The Staff was GREAT!. They kept me informed and made the entire rental experience easy and convenient. The young lady that rented us the car even program my cell pone to the radio and made sure I knew how to operate it, along with all the other gadgets in this car. They made sure I had the car I needed and that it was clean and safe! GREAT PEOPLE!

This place sucks!! They don't even answer the phone. The pep boys they are located in even admits it. Good forbid a lyft rental customer has an issue that needs immediate assistance. Shut this place down like everything else out there is. No need in holding off the inevitable.

Honestly, I wish that I could put zero stars. You ruined our family road trip that we planned for months in advance. We reserved a 12 passenger van months ago. We called twice the week before to confirm our reservation and when we came on our appointment day to pick it up, we were told that the van had already been given away. I can't even start to comprehend why we were even allowed to reserve the van if it was a first-come, first-served service. Pathetic.

I wish I could give them ZERO stars. I went in to pick up my rental and was told that no cars were available and that someone would contact me when one became available. One hour prior to them closing I called them only to be informed that I wouldn't be getting a rental until Friday or Saturday because they were "unsure" of when the rentals already out were being returned. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

OK - buyer beware - first, they are not located where the website states - plus Hertz is so understaffed no one was manning the desk ( located inconveniently in a "collision center") - Hertz has no inventory of cars - only what was just returned. So - after one of the employees went on lunch break in full view of waiting customers - my SUV rental garnered a filthy small compact - no relief on price 141$ per day - fuel not full - passenger seat broken. The coup detat - dropped the visor down and a funeral program dropped out - dated back to 2012. My recent experiences with Hertz have been the same - these remote locations customer experience suck and the cars are never cleaned. The only reason to ever use this location is if you are turning in your car for body repair at the collision center. Trying to get my 141$ rate reduced - Hertz 800 number said I can try - but only 24 hours after I turn the car in - they must hope I will give up and keep my money - Bitter - never Hertz again -
