Med några månaders mellanrum, när det är min tur att köpa familjefrukost, väljer jag Hickory Cafe and Grill. Hickory rymmer ca 30 till 40 personer, men det känns aldrig trångt. 
 Vid vårt senaste besök valde sju familjemedlemmar från en mängd läckra frukostalternativ. Jag har aldrig ätit en tråkig måltid på Hickory. ( Jag har hört att ägaren/kocken drev en exklusiv restaurang där jag av en slump njöt av maten mycket, men inte atmosfären. (För högt där. ) Här på Hickory kan man prata tyst med matsällskap. 
 Det enda problemet som jag någonsin har haft med Hickory är att parkeringsplatsen är lite liten. En bror klagar dock ofta på att hans rostade bröd sällan rostas korrekt. En sådan liten kritik för en annars stor frukost upplevelse. 
 Njut av Hickory.

Jag trodde att denna plats skulle vara dyr och passerade den många gånger. En morgon stannade jag och ätit en frukost och går nu in en gång i veckan. Maten var inte bara bra men inte dyrare än den genomsnittliga platsen.

Frukost med kaffe på Hickory är bra för nio dollar innan tips. Fem familjemedlemmar går ut våra fasta två gånger i månaden på det lilla caféet. Tjänsten är vänlig och rimligt snabb. Därför är artiklarna både heta och läckra. Den vanliga kostnaden är cirka sju dollar eller så, inklusive en köttälskare omelett. En fin sidamat är ostgryn. Den enda mindre nackdelen med denna plats är dess lilla storlek med små bord. Fem av oss måste krama vid ett bord om det inte finns ett annat tomt bord i närheten för att ansluta. En annan liten sak är parkeringsplatsen som kan hantera cirka tio bilar. Ändå är detta ett bra ställe för en bra frukost på nio dollar.

Min syster och jag letade efter en plats att äta lunch när vi gick förbi det här söta lilla caféet. Vi vände omedelbart och hade en så trevlig upplevelse. Honung senap kalkon smörgås var så bra som grönsakssmörgåsen.

Jag har ätit lunch här flera gånger, Bang Bang Shrimp Wrap är min favorit, så jag bestämde mig för att prova på söndagsbrunch. Crab Benedict var fantastisk, Bloody Mary var bra, men Frozen Belini var bomben. Jag kommer tillbaka!

Detta är en dold hemlighet i River Ridge / Harahan-området. Menyn är olika, inte samma ole kyckling och hamburgare. Maten är så läckra, laddad med smaker och priserna är riktigt bra. Det har till och med en körning - genom bekvämligheten. Glad att jag upptäckte det. Det är lite litet och inte prickigt, eller stora tecken, så det går bara obemärkt. Vi går till samma platser om och om igen i Harahan. Inte mer! Detta är min gå till plats.

Vi hittade det här lilla stället upp på ett infall för lunch. Det är litet men servicen är bra ... trots att de var galet hektisk.

Lagom stort sallader, dagens rätt och en mängd smörgåsar.

Jag tyckte det var prisvärt ganska bra ( $ 10-14, beroende på din aptit).

Jag hade den svärtade röda fisk och var super imponerad.
